We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Your racing lines are starting to look like you are understanding. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are still a few corners where you are entering too tight and exiting too narrow, which costs you minimum speed. It's just about a pass but lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try and brake with less pressure so you can carry more speed through the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example
----------------------

Your racing lines aren't taking full advantage of the track. Stay wide on the entry, don't drift towards the apex, wait for your turn in point then eyeball the apex and hug the apex kerb and then determine a good exit acceleration point to take advantage of the whole width on the track on exit. You normally manage to get two out of three parts correct. i.e. entry and apex or entry and exit but miss the apex. It is when you manage to hit all three is where you increase the radius of the corner and give the car the chance to carry faster speeds.
Extra -
You are turning too early into the corner, causing you to have to adjust and open the steering again, compromising your line and costing you a lot of time as a result, as you had to drive slower through the corner due to the tighter entry. Try and open the corner out more by staying out wider before turning in, so you can carry a higher minimum speed through the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra -
You are braking with a bit too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try and brake with less pressure so you can avoid overslowing the car, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. - Example

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - You are too slow getting back on the throttle on the exit of the corner, costing you a considerable amount of time due to your exit speed being significantly lower than optimal. Try get back onto the throttle quicker so you can accelerate quicker out of the corner, carrying a higher exit speed, and gain more time overall as a result. - Example

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - You are getting back on throttle too late, causing your exit speed to be affected as you are not able to accelerate out the corner as quickly as the reference lap. Try getting back on throttle earlier so you can carry a higher exit speed, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

Extra - You are braking too late, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner. Try braking at an earlier point to avoid overshooting the corner, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall. - Example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.
Extra - You are too slow getting back on throttle, causing your exit speed to be significantly affected and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try getting back on throttle quicker so you can carry a higher exit speed and gain more time overall. The earlier you can get back on throttle, the quicker you can accelerate and gain more speed out of a corner, which will gain you more time for the whole straight. - Example
----------------------

Your braking points are good however you can brake later by adjusting your braking shape (the shape left by the brake inputs on the graph). Compare to the reference to see how you can adjust your inputs while braking to find time. This is more than good enough to pass this assignment so we will move onto the next skill now. Good luck and have fun!
Extra - You aren't turning the steering wheel enough right now which means you're not maximising the tyres grip through corners. If you turn the wheel more (although not too much, otherwise you'll get understeer!) you can take some more speed into the corner. - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
