02/02/2026
Let’s take a look at what it takes to put in strong laps around Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
Extra - Monza is entirely about braking discipline and exit performance. With its long straights and few corners, every major braking zone—Rettifilo, Roggia, Lesmo 1, and Ascari—demands a controlled but assertive stop followed by a clean rotation that sets up maximum drive onto the next straight. The kerbs at the chicanes can be used aggressively, but only if the car stays settled; over-attacking them leads to instability and lost momentum. Parabolica is the defining corner of the lap, rewarding patience on entry and smooth throttle application to build speed early for the long run to the line.
Across a full lap, Monza punishes any overdriving. Small mistakes at corner entry turn into massive losses by the next braking zone. Staying calm on turn-in, minimising steering angle mid-corner, and straightening the wheel quickly on exits generate the lap time here. Keep your braking points consistent, trust the grip you have, and let the circuit’s flow work for you—Monza rewards precision and efficiency more than aggression.
It looks like your steering angle is quite low compared to the reference driver. You might not quite be on the limit of grip - the optimal slip angle. Try to turn the wheel a little more to find the peak grip - but don't go over it. Example
You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example
----------------------
20/01/2026
It looks like you have really progressed with the throttle over the last few months. This plan encompasses all the aspects of the go faster pedal. It is key to treat this pedal with respect and precision regardless of the power of the car and you now understand the power the throttle has on tuning the car too. Keep at it as there are still times where you are rushing to 100% and others where you are too patient. Practice makes perfect.

06/01/2026
Some more work is needed here. There a few mistake that we need to correct before we move on. Have a look at the advice bellow and let's give this assignment another go.
Extra - You aren't aggressive enough when getting back on power. Have a look at this linked segment (example) and see how the reference lap quickly applies the throttle, while you apply slowly and carefully. This costs you time under acceleration and down the straights. A bit of work here and you'll see several tenths come off your lap times 💪
----------------------
22/12/2025
Could you please drive more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to get a read of how you are doing, even if you are not driving as part of a specific plan. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - Try to be less erratic with the throttle, smaller motions will help. This is tricky but when you ease off the throttle, you often take the throttle to 20-30% pressure. Try to use smaller movements to avoid slowing the car too much. Example
----------------------
08/12/2025
There are still some things that you can improve, but overall you did a good job and managed to pass, well done!
This often changed from track to track, but there are some segments where you need to push the track limits a bit more when you're approaching a corner. That extra width is fundamental to maximize the corner speed. Also, there you're often turning quite early into the corners. It's about 50:50, but sometimes you use an early turn-in point and that's alright because every driver is different, however other times it's just too early and beyond the acceptable limit.
We'll elaborate further in the section below.
Good luck on your next assignment!
Extra - About turning-in too early - this often happened when you missed your braking point and ended up carrying too much speed into the corner. That often causes drivers to turn-in early to gain a bit more distance to slow the car down and avoid going off the track (example).
Work on turning slightly later into the corners to see it feels and how it affects lap times, but mostly work on your braking, maximizing the car's braking potential without locking the wheels, trail braking well into the corner. That'll give you more confidence to turn-in later.
Good luck!

Extra - Your car's speed through the corner suffers because you're not hugging the apex closely. Remember to leverage the full width of the track right from the entry, through the apex, and as you exit, particularly where your car feels stable. Example
----------------------
06/10/2025
There are still some things you need to improve. Firstly, work on using more track and avoiding turning into the corner too early. Additionally, you need to work on your racing line in multiple corner complexes. Mugello is a great track to practice that and that's where you showed more flaws. Try to find a better balance between sacrificing exit speed from a corner for a better entry into the second one. You're often either going too deep after the first apex or sacrificing too much exit speed.
Extra - Your pedals might need to be calibrated, your telemetry shows a constant input of about 2% or 3% on the brake pedal. Even though it's a small percentage, it can have a number of effects like overheating brakes, rise in tyre temperatures and lower efficiency when accelerating (example).
Check either the in-game settings, or your wheel/pedals settings to see if everything is well calibrated. You can also add a small deadzone to the brake pedal, some drivers to that to avoid accidental inputs when they're preparing for the braking zone.
Additionally, try to avoid resting your foot on the brake pedal when it's not needed. Put your foot to the side instead.

The attempt here was commendable. But, considering this challenge aims to integrate all skills, the bar for passing is set significantly higher. Mastery in every aspect—entry, apex, and exit—is crucial for advancement. Focus especially on utilizing the track more effectively during entries and exits.
Extra - You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. Example
----------------------
11/08/2025
This was a pretty good effort. However since this is a bringing it all together challenge the pass threshold is much higher than before. You really need to nail all areas of entry, apex and exit to move on. Particularly try to use more track on the entries and exits.
Extra - There is a big gap between lifting off and braking in most corners. This is useful if you are trying to save fuel but it won't help your lap times. Consider tightening this up to shave those hundredths. Example
----------------------
30/07/2025
Nice stuff. With all you have learnt in the last few months you are beginning to master the braking game. We looked at timing, pressure, speed and trailbraking and you have really progressed in all these areas. As always there is no such thing as perfect so keep working at it because you can always improve. Keep looking at the telemetry to get clues.
Extra - There is a big gap between lifting off and braking in most corners. This is useful if you are trying to save fuel but it won't help your lap times. Consider tightening this up to shave those hundredths. Example
----------------------
14/07/2025
Your steering looks very smooth and you unwind the wheel quickly but in control. This enables you to get on the power faster as the car can straighten up under traction. The car is also more stable and predictable, giving you better control as you power out of the corner. Try to use the reference to compare your steering on turn-in as well to further improve your times. Braking up next
Extra - To elevate your performance, refine your trail braking technique. Smooth brake application is crucial for keeping the car stable and optimizing grip. Start with a firm initial brake input, then gradually ease off as you turn into the corner, fully releasing by the apex. For example, begin releasing the brake just as you initiate the steering input to maintain balance through the turn. Example
----------------------
30/06/2025
You're really nailing your braking technique! It's great to see how well you're using the brakes, not just in terms of when to brake but also how you're applying them. This kind of skill helps a lot with keeping the car stable and hitting the perfect lines through corners. Your understanding and use of brake bias is spot on, enhancing your control and performance on the track. Keep it up! Your attention to detail with braking is making a big difference.
Extra - Your car's speed through the corner suffers because you're not hugging the apex closely. Remember to leverage the full width of the track right from the entry, through the apex, and as you exit, particularly where your car feels stable. Example
----------------------
16/06/2025
Your turn in points were extremely good, there was virtually no drifting towards the corner apex before you fully commit to the turn in. This turn in point determines the speed at which you enter a corner. Turning in too early or too late can result in either scrubbing off too much speed or carrying too much speed into the corner, making it difficult to maintain control of the vehicle. You handle this very well and not surprisingly your corner segment times are generally very good.
Extra - Don't under estimate how much time can be lost by just the smallest of touches on the brake. The knowledge that it is possible to take this corner with a smaller throttle lift and no braking - if you get the line perfect. As the subsequent straights are very long any time lost here will be expensive, especially if another driver is drafting you - example
----------------------
02/06/2025
There are times when you are compromising your corner by drifting towards the apex instead of staying wide and having a dedicated turn in point. There will be subjectivity here but when you are lap quickly like you are. These areas are great testing points to see if you have a general issue or there is a corner specific reason for a different strategy. Scour your racing line in each corner to find these differences and you'll give yourself a better understanding of the possibilities that you'll have on track. The theoretical lap time will be a great help here. Especially if you have put in sessions of 15+ laps in a session. Good luck and go into detective mode 🕵️
Extra - Work on changing up gears a little early. You are pushing the top end too far and this most likely isn't providing the optimum power to the car. Also, try to get on the power a little earlier, that slight delay, especially at Monza is very costly - example
----------------------

Impressive driving. Your consistency, knowledge of the track and overall racing technique is looking strong. Obviously this is reflected in the lap times. Congratulations. All good drivers will take the time to examine their telemetry. When you are drive so well, sometimes it is hard to see exactly the mistakes that are taking place on track. Just the knowledge that sometime wasn't perfect is keeping you grinding out the laps. This is great and instils needed muscle memory however, we'd advise getting dirty in the telemetry a bit more. Find common issues, or weak corners so when you are next on track you can hone in on needed areas. Train smart and train hard! Good luck.
Extra - The biggest thing you could work on is carrying minimum speed, mostly through braking later and not lifting off as much through corners. This is giving you a big delta in corner exits. Example
----------------------
14/04/2025
It is not uncommon for the third combination assessment to take a while. The main issues are that each segment has a couple of problems that need addressing. Racing line choice was often out and thus setting yourself up for a good exit was at times extremely hard. A lot of invalid laps as well is a sign that you are trying to push yourself just that little bit too much. It is better to drop your pace just a little to get yourself race ready. One exceptional hotlap is great but 20 laps of fast consistent lapping will win you more races. You'll also find that when you have that consistency you'll be able to adapt better from one segment to the next or even within a corner. You'll understand your car better and be able to make micro adjustments with a confidence that brings down your lap times. Train smart and good things will come.

----------------------
07/01/2025
Your consistency of reaching 100% throttle as quickly as the reference lap was reasonably good. You are getting the hang of a technique here that many drivers find hard. There is still room for a faster application so keep working on it. Go through the items on the Previous Plans list that you struggle with most and you'll be knocking even more time off your laps.
Extra - Try to focus a bit more on your braking points, they were a bit inconsistent with you either braking too late or too early and that is affecting your racing line. To add to that, you could also brake a bit harder and carry the brakes further into the corner. That will help you optimize your braking and reduce braking distances - Example.
Also, beware when you're braking too late into a corner, drivers sometimes tend to turn earlier into the corner to try to hit the apex. This can give you a wrong impression of how much speed you can carry and how well the car will grip on the entry. Try to experiment with different braking points and racing lines through each corner during your practice sessions when you're learning a track.
----------------------
24/12/2024
There's a noticeable delay when you engage the accelerator; aim to reduce this lag time. Your acceleration post-delay is effective, yet the initial hesitation needs work. Critically assess your driving line for each turn, ensure the car's rotation is optimal, and check if your steering corrections are overly dramatic. Focus on these aspects intensely, and after every run, analyse the telemetry to pinpoint exactly where you can enhance your cornering technique.
Extra - You've made good progress, but it's important to address your tendency to brake early. While being cautious is understandable, braking too early can lead to a loss of momentum, affecting your overall lap time. To optimise your performance, try to identify braking points that allow you to carry more speed into the corners. Gradually delay your braking to find the sweet spot where you're slowing down just enough without sacrificing speed. With practice, you'll find the right balance and see noticeable improvements in your lap times. Keep refining your technique—you've got this! Example
----------------------
09/12/2024
A nice improvement here. You show a smoother movement on the majority of segments. Just be aware that it is very easy to slip on this area. That smoothness of steering (as well as braking and throttle) will help you maintain a balance / weighted car. This combined with ensuring your use the full width of the track might help shave another few tenths off your time.
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. Example
----------------------
26/11/2024
Decent use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%. I would like to see you be a bit smoother with this technique as you are still a bit inconsistent.
Extra - Your car's speed through the corner suffers because you're not hugging the apex closely. Remember to leverage the full width of the track right from the entry, through the apex, and as you exit, particularly where your car feels stable. Example
----------------------
11/11/2024
Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example

As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. Overall, you did a good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes turning too early into a corner or easing off the throttle to avoid going wide on the exit or not using enough track on the corner entry.
You'll find that each corner has it's optimal steering angle due to the difference in speed between them. This can be tricky to find, but do try to keep your steering angle to a minimum - example.

02/09/2024
You still had some lifts here and there, but overall a good assessment, well done! Keep practicing this in the future, it's an area where a driver can gain plenty of time, but most importantly gain an advantage over their opponents.
Extra - You can often use a bit more track on the corner exit. Taking advantage of the whole width of the track will also help you with your acceleration, so try to really aim for the outside kerbs on the exit.
Here's a good example for you to take into account.
----------------------
19/08/2024
Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra - You're sometimes turning your steering wheel just a little too much. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. It is much better to slow to the correct speed and then use as minimal steering angle as possible to avoid scrubbing the tyres.
Here's a good example for you to take a look at.
----------------------
05/08/2024
Your racing lines are starting to look like you are understanding. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are still a few corners where you are entering too tight and exiting too narrow, which costs you minimum speed. It's just about a pass but lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - Try braking a little deeper into this one. You lose time on the way in but get a good exit. Hold 100% braking for longer and get a bit of a trailbrake as you go in. Example
----------------------
23/07/2024
Your chicane technique is strong. You demonstrate good mid-corner throttle control and you get on the power well on exit. You could benefit from a wider entry and exit to the complex to carry more speed. Also you might benefit staying tighter in the first part of the chicanes to benefit the exit which is carried onto the following straight. Racing line technique is next.
Extra - You lose 6 tenths through this corner complex. It looks like you are simply not carrying enough speed through. Comparing your minimum speed to the reference driver you were leaving time on the table. Try to be a bit more bold next time. Example
----------------------
08/07/2024
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there were a couple of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - There were a couple of occasions where you weren't getting on the throttle as early as you could, such as in this example. You started pressing the throttle slightly earlier than the reference, but you didn't get to 100% until a lot later. This will give you less speed out of the corner, and therefore a slower run to the next one. Try to have more confidence in the grip of the car when accelerating.

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

There were quite a few errors that need addressing. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were many times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but you need to keep an eye on how quickly you are accelerating. This was sometimes too slow. Getting on the throttle too late will affect your speed down the next straight, creating a snowball effect into the next part of the track. A bit more practice, especially on your gear choices and you'll be moving onto your next plan.
Extra - We noticed you might be running an older version of the Track Titan logger. Please follow this link if you need help running the update https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger otherwise if you are on the latest version please contact keith@tracktitan.io and he'll get this working for you.

There were quite a few errors that need addressing. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were many times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you break. This was sometimes too slow. Enjoy the high downforce car and trust its stopping power. A bit more practice, especially on your gear choices and you'll be moving onto your next plan.
Extra - Through fast corners like this one, you don't always need to lift off the throttle fully. This will slow the car down too much, and slowing down in a fast section of the track will lose you more time than it would in any other corner.

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - There are a lot of corners where you are turning the wheel too much. This will cause the car to understeer which will give you less grip from the front tires, as well as wearing them down and overheating them quickly. Try to turn the wheel less through tight corners, only turn until you reach the limit of grip. Here's an example.

A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.
Extra - When you accelerate it is better to use a smooth, continuous motion. Presently you are sometimes on and off the throttle to often. This can unsettle the car and make it difficult for the tyres to maintain traction. Start a little slower and then work up to a consist, smooth and fast throttle pedal action. Here's an example.

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - You're often turning the steering wheel too much. You're essentially making your front wheels slide, which induces understeer. Try to slow to the correct speed and then use as minimal steering angle as possible. Excessive steering will scrub the tyres and slow you down as well. Try to reduce your steering input a lot and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit.
Here's a good example for you to take a look at.

Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apexes. Great job using the whole width of the track. Practice trying to take a slightly later apex and see how this affects your deltas. Also have in the back of your mind the angle / direction of the car as you take the apex. The more it is facing in the direction of the coming straight the quicker you'll be able to effectively get on the throttle. Your throttle engagement should generally be within two car lengths of your apex.
Extra - Try to be smoother with your throttle application. There are a few corner where you are pressing and releasing the throttle pedal multiple times on the exit of the corner. This will unsettle the car, making it less stable, which will give you less confidence to be able to push, ultimately resulting in a loss of time. Here is an example to look at. Could you also check that your Track Titan logger is updated to the latest version? Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

You're doing really well, although there were a couple of instances where you just missed the mark. No worries though, it happens to the best of us! Something to keep in mind is that sometimes there are segments of the track where you don't need to brake at all. In those instances, simply lifting off the throttle can be enough to help you retain your speed and maintain control. Enjoy your apex work and don't be afraid to test the entry-apex-exit kerbs!
Extra - Make sure you use as much of the track as possible on the exit of the corner. This way, you can essentially widen the corner radius, allowing you to carry more speed. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
