Your consistency of reaching 100% throttle as quickly as the reference lap was very good. You have mastered a technique here that many drivers find hard. Keep working through the items on the Previous Plans list that you struggle with most and you'll be knocking even more time off your laps.
You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop significantly before the ideal braking zone, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result, as you are too slow approaching the corner in comparison to the reference lap. Try and brake at a later point so you can carry more speed under braking, which will in turn let you carry more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Another hard assignment but use the information and the practice that you have been doing for the last few months and apply this on track. You are delaying too long before commiting to the pedal. The speed of the application after that point is good but it just starts too late. You need to be questioning whether your line was correct, if you rotated the car enough, is your wheel movement not too exaggerated. Work hard on these areas and refer back to the telemetry data after each session to find the flaws in your corners.
Extra -
There is a big gap between lifting off and braking in most corners. This is useful if you are trying to save fuel but it won't help your lap times. Consider tightening this up to shave those hundredths. Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁
Extra -
1. At the moment, you are coming off the throttle significantly earlier in comparison to the reference lap. By the time you reach the braking point, you are 32km/h slower than optimal before hitting the brakes, and when you do hit the brakes, you are not hitting them at enough pressure due to the slower speed. Try and remain on full throttle instead until the braking zone in order to carry a higher top speed for longer before the braking zone, which will prevent you from losing time unnecessarily in the straight, gaining you more laptime overall as a result. - Example
2. In this session, it is the same thing with the throttle as in the first session. The majority of your laptime is lost before you are reaching the corners, as you are about 30km/h slower before braking into the corners (example). By holding the throttle for longer, you will be able to maintain your top speed for longer before you have to get onto the brakes. Having the pause between throttle pressure and brake pressure is what costs you unnecessary time, as your car is decelerating and now rolling before you reach the braking point. Your braking point in this segment was at the right point, but since you are coming in with less speed, your speed under braking always remains below the reference lap by a significant amount. Approaching the corner with more speed will help fix those issues naturally however, as you have the right braking points already.
3. In the bus stop chicane, your approach into the corner is good, however, the middle part of the chicane was where a lot of your time was lost. This was because you were off the throttle for too long without any throttle input, so your car continued to decelerate further as you got further into the chicane. You were also late with getting back on throttle too late on the exit, compromising your exit speed.. Try applying a bit of throttle through each corner of the chicane allows you to keep your minimum speed up higher, then as you are about halfway through the chicane, you can get back onto full throttle to get you a higher exit speed. - Example
4. Mainly focusing on segment 4 In this session as you mentioned, the reason why you are struggling with traction is due to both the gear you are in and the line you are taking. Firstly, you are getting back on throttle at the right point as the reference lap, however, you are doing so in 1st gear, which is a very limited gear in terms of traction in comparison to 2nd gear like the reference lap. When you are both accelerating out of the corner, the reference lap has more stability on the exit due to the higher gear, while your car is trying to accelerate quicker in the lower gear, which lights the rear tyres up while you are still turning, which is why the TC control activates to prevent the car from oversteer as best as it can. You are exiting on a shallower line compared to the reference lap, meaning you are applying more steering lock when exiting the corner, which also plays a part in the TC activating. Try and short-shift to 2nd gear just as you begin to get onto the throttle and leave the corner, which will give you more stability on the exit, preventing the TC from kicking is as aggressively as it would be doing in 1st gear. If it still kicks in a bit frequently, try and take the wider line out of the corner, which you can do best by carrying a higher minimum speed at the apex to allow your car to naturally drift out wide. - Example
----------------------
16/07/2026
A nice improvement here. You show a smoother movement on the majority of segments. Just be aware that it is very easy to slip on this area. That smoothness of steering (as well as braking and throttle) will help you maintain a balance / weighted car. This combined with ensuring your use the full width of the track might help shave another few tenths off your time.
Extra -
You are braking too early and with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking later and with less pressure, so you can gain more time overall just by carrying more speed under braking. - Example
----------------------
04/07/2026
Decent use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%. I would like to see you be a bit smoother with this technique as you are still a bit inconsistent.
Extra -
You are holding the brakes for a bit too long, causing your apex speed to be slower than optimal and costing you a bit of time. Try releasing the brakes a bit quicker, so that you can carry a higher minimum speed through the corner, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example
----------------------

As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra -
You're committing to throttle too early, provoking understeer and making you back out again. Hold back just a little more, then roll on decisively with a smoother, more progressive motion. Example
----------------------

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪

This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
Extra - You are sometimes too slow at getting back onto the throttle, which causes your exit speed to be compromised and costing you time as a result. Try get back on the throttle earlier so you can gain more time overall by carrying a higher exit speed, which will help with gaining time for the following straight too. - Example
----------------------
07/05/2026
Impressively consistent race times, showcasing your dedication and skill. This consistent performance is a crucial asset as you prepare for your upcoming Combination Assessment. Keep up the great work, it's evident that you're on the right track towards achieving your goals.
Extra - You're braking too early and hard, and holding onto the brakes for too long, causing your speed to drop quicker than optimal, and have a lower apex speed, costing you a lot of time. Try braking a bit later for the pressure you are using, and release the brakes quicker, so you can maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------
23/04/2026
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - You are sometimes braking too late, causing you to have to apply more pressure than optimal to slow the car down, affecting your apex speed and costing you time. Try braking a bit earlier and with a bit less pressure, so you can maintain a higher minimum speed at the apex and gain more time. - Example
----------------------
09/04/2026
Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra - You were a bit late getting back on throttle on the exit of the chicane at Lime Rock Park, costing you a bit of time, as your speed is not as high as the optimal lap on exit, and that difference is then carried all the way until the next corner. Try get back on throttle a bit earlier, so you can gain more time by accelerating quicker. - Example

Nicely driven! You improved in these 4 key areas over the last few weeks. There will always to improvements and adjustments that you can make. It is all about fine tuning those braking points, racing line and throttle application. Your gears look decent but always check back to the telemetry. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - You were on the brakes a bit early into the double right hander at Lime Rock Park - West Bend Chicane layout, which costed you a bit of time on the entry of the double right hander. Try adjusting to a slightly later braking point so you can carry a bit more speed into the corner and gain more time. - Example
----------------------
11/03/2026
Good corner gear choices. Sometimes you are one gear higher than the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control dropping one gear lower. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra - It looks like you're sometimes losing a bit of time on corner complexes. Most of the times, you're going too deep after the first corner (example) and end up losing time at the exit of the segment. In corner complexes, it's usually faster to sacrifice some exit speed after the first corner to then have a better entry into the second apex, especially if the following segment includes a straight or a full throttle section.
During your practise sessions, try different approaches to the segment in the given example and see how each one affects your delta. Good luck!

Hi, sorry for the delays. Good job with your brake inputs! They're looking good. There were a few times you could brake a little later into heavy braking zones by using more pressure. In some high speed corners you are knocking off a few more MPH than you need to. Try to use a little less pressure in those turns. We'll move onto the next assignment now. Good luck and have fun!
Extra - You aren't turnin the steering wheel enough right now which means you're not maximising the tyres grip through corners. If you turn the wheel more (although not too much, otherwise you'll get understeer!) you can take some more speed into the corner. - example
----------------------

Sorry for the delay on the update.
Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apexes. Great job using the whole width of the track. Practice trying to take a slightly later apex and see how this affects your deltas. Also have in the back of your mind the angle / direction of the car as you take the apex. The more it is facing in the direction of the coming straight the quicker you'll be able to effectively get on the throttle. Your throttle engagement should generally be within two car lengths of your apex.
Extra - In this kind of double apex corner, try to open your entry more. Deliberately miss the first apex to have a wider entry into the second one, carrying more speed there and then going for a straighter, faster exit.
This corner can be quite difficult due to the elevation change as you approach the first apex and on the corner exit. You can expect less grip and maybe a bit of wheel spin on the drop at the exit, so try to get the car as straight as possible there to get to full throttle sooner without losing the rear.

Your braking points are looking really good. Not much to comment on here, well done. We'll move onto the next assignement now. Good luck!
Extra - Have a look at your steering inputs. Often, you are turning the wheel too much. Try to reduce your inputs by 20-30 degrees to avoid understeer. Understeer is when the front tyres lose grip before the rear tyres, which results in the car steering less than optimal. This can cause the tyres to wear faster and increase tyre temps (making the tyre too hot), you'll also have to go slower through corners to make it around. - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
