Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Extra - We noticed you might be running an older version of the Track Titan logger. Please follow this link if you need help running the update https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger

Please do more laps. You need between 30 to 50 to really see how you're doing. Our trainers are here to help whenever. Good luck and have fun out there!

----------------------

10/04/2024
Again, your steering is too inconsistent for this to be a pass. Try to focus on moving the steering wheel as smoothly as you can, this will help keep the car more stable on the exit of the corner.

Extra - Another thing to keep an eye on is your gear choices. There are a few segments where you are in too low of a gear which is costing you a lot of lap time. Here is an example.

----------------------

27/03/2024
Controlling the steering can be a subtle skill. Just a small adjustment to the wheel angle can make a difference to your acceleration and the speed of the car. It is important to jump into the telemetry as you have done with great success. Adjust your racing line slightly to smooth this wheel movement. Good luck and you'll hopefully see improvements on this with plenty of practice.

Extra - Try not to pump your brakes too much through the corner. This is unsettling the car and causing you to lose time. Example

Great use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%.

Extra - Keep practicing trail braking, it is going well but sometimes you are on/off whilst braking, smooth is important.  This is also the case for the throttle. As this movements can be small it is worth checking your telemetry to visualise this - example

----------------------

14/02/2024
As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. There is more potential here but you need to improve your consistency. This is a narrow pass as you are achieving good time and nailing most of the fundamentals. With conistency you'll find speed. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.

Extra - Start slower and build up a foundation that will take you to faster lap times. Small changes like firstly fast braking will help you take a little time off your laps as well. Nicely done and keep the good work - example

----------------------

31/01/2024
This is a pass and quite a good one. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.

Extra - Keep working on your throttle as you tend to be hesitant to push to 100% throttle.  Be brave, test the limit, get your foot to the floor and find the limits of your car - example

----------------------

17/01/2024

Extra - Pretty good, try to work a consistency session into each weeks training if possible | braking a little later here causes you to get on the throttle a little late.  Expensive on this segment as it will affect S2-S4 https://app.tracktitan.io/segment/20240113220323/8/1?target=780a1222-67ce-4cf2-9146-303325336890&skill=braking&state=N4XyA

----------------------

04/01/2024
Great lines a nice improvement, you have taken this onboard and most of the segments were using a good racing line. Sometimes you stay a little safe and miss out on some extra width. It is less risky but the lateral forces will be greater at this stage and using the full width of the track earlier can help.

Extra - Work on your braking point and acceleration point this example highlights that you are braking too early and getting to 100% too late at times - example

----------------------

20/12/2023
Your racing lines aren't taking full advantage of the track. Stay wide on the entry, don't drift towards the apex, wait for your turn in point then eyeball the apex and hug the apex kerb and then determine a good exit acceleration point to take advantage of the whole width on the track on exit. You normally manage to get two out of three parts correct. i.e. entry and apex or entry and exit but miss the apex. It is when you manage to hit all three is where you increase the radius of the corner and give the car the chance to carry faster speeds.

Extra - As mentioned above you need to really use that track. Entry wide and test the kerb, tight onto the apex and on the exit use the full width. Stay as straight as possible to gain maximum acceleration traction - example

----------------------

10/12/2023
We carry on your training from where you left off.

Extra - Previous comment - Work on creating a smooth motion for your acceleration, there is too much on/off movement at the moment which will be unbalancing the car and slowing your times - example

Since you're practicing Silverstone a lot, you don't need to brake at the beginning of Maggots and Beckets. Just lift the throttle. I know it's scary, but try to got for it! Look here

----------------------

27/03/2023
Congratulations! You're looking very consistent keeping your laps at Silverstone within 1.5sec of each other. Keep working on it and try to do as many valid laps as possible.

For this next week, you'll practice your racing lines. They are very good, but there's much more track for you to use. Try to keep as much to the outside as possible before the corners and don't be afraid to try and hit some kerbs. Be careful because some kerbs on the apex will make your car unstable, but since you don't pay for damages in the simulator, give them a try! Good luck!

----------------------

20/03/2023
Really see if you can put together 8-10 laps within 1.5secs of each other, you had a couple of good sessions but there are far too many invalid laps coming through at the moment. Consistency is such a useful skill to have whilst racing that it should never be overlooked. If you are struggling, slow you speed a little until you produce the desired consistency. Only at that point is it time to increase your speed to your race speed. Watch out for those invalid laps as well.

---------------------

13/03/2023
Your throttle work was very good, far above most for their first attempt here. As you are improving you'll find your weakest areas keep on coming back so always try your best to think about what these weakest areas are and look at the telemetry to judge where you improvements could be. This point is very important, refer back to your telemetry as much as you can. Now it is important continue with this clean acceleration and push to do it faster and achieve 100% throttle just a little sooner. Just remember if you get on the gas too early you might need to release the throttle and this will delay the push to 100%.

Lots of laps needed next week in order to stand a chance of passing your consistency requirements.

----------------------
06/03/2023
Your line and braking were very good in the chicanes. The main area that you need to practice is trying to get on the gas a little sooner on exit. Get that wheel straight as quickly as you can and push for a fast clean exit out of the chicane, using as much of the width of the track as possible.
‍
Your next training session, which will be looking deeper into accelerating. Well done and keep up the great driving!
----------------------
27/02/2023
This is a pass but only just. Each lap there are a few areas that can be improved. Sometimes a couple of gears are too low, sometimes your racing line is off or you are braking a little early. It is so important to refer back to your telemetry data to gauge how you are doing and develop ideas of how to get quicker. You only analysed 2 segments last week from a 170+ laps. Try to up this number a bit to improve your lap times.
----------------------

20/02/2023
Good corner gear choices this week on most tracks but on a couple you struggled. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you still sometimes do this. It is allows worth popping back to the telemetry to check whether your gear choices are on the mark or not, especially when you are learning a new track.
‍

So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!

Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

---------------------

13/02/2023
You show a fast and smooth braking phase as you slow your car to the required speed. These skills that you are learning need to be thought about all the time. Each and every you enter and exit a corner. Remember on fast flowing corners you can avoid maximum braking, either a quick dab or try braking with less force around the 60-75% mark. The aim is to maintain as high a corner speed as possible.

----------------------
06/02/2023
Well done, nicely done. Keep on pushing yourself and using the full width of the track to achieve maximum speed on a corner. It really shows that when you do multiple laps on the same track, you achieve your best results.
‍
Good luck in the next challenge, remember each assigned task builds on the next, so always concentrate on nailing the braking points and hitting your apexes.

----------------------
30/01/2023
Congrats on your successful braking at the right point. This shows that you have a good understanding of the track, the car's handling and braking capabilities, and the ability to make split-second decisions. Keep up the impressive performance!

---------------------
22/01/2023
Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Each week you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls each week and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, each week you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors, your score for the assigned task and your progress.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next seven days. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed throughout the week. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know.

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
‍
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
