We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. π

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track πͺ

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - You are too slow getting back on full throttle on corner exits, costing you a considerable amount of time as your exit speed is significantly lower than optimal due to the slower acceleration. Try and get back onto full throttle quicker so you can carry a higher exit speed out of the corner, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - You are coming on throttle too early mid corner, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner, running wide, and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try be more patient before getting back on throttle, so that when you do go back on throttle, you can get back on the power much harder towards full throttle, as you are currently half the throttle input as the reference lap due to you coming on the throttle much earlier. - Example

Your braking technique is spot on in most corners. Well done. There were a couple times where you could brake later by holding peak pressure for longer. We'll move onto the next assignment now, good luck and have fun!
Extra - You aren't aggressive enough when getting back on power. Have a look at this linked segment (example) and see how the reference lap quickly applies the throttle, while you apply a little later and slower. This costs you time under acceleration and down the straights. A bit of work here and you'll see several tenths come off your lap times πͺ

Hi, apologise for the delay. Some more work is needed here, Currently you are braking too early. You can push those braking points later by using more brake pressure. Give this assessment another try and see how you get on. Good luck and have fun!
Extra - Have a look at your steering inputs. Often, you are turning the wheel too much. Try to reduce your inputs by 20-30 degrees to avoid understeer. Understeer is when the front tyres lose grip before the rear tyres, which results in the car steering less than optimal. This can cause the tyres to wear faster and increase tyre temps (making the tyre too hot), you'll also have to go slower through corners to make it around. - example

Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.
Extra - Take a look at the timing of your throttle in this section. Compare yourself to the reference lap, by tweaking your throttle application both on and off in this section you can help the balance and rotation of the car for best results. Example

Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra - Work on improving your trail braking to enhance car control. Smoothly transitioning from heavy braking to a gentle release is essential for balance and grip. Apply sharp braking at the start, then ease off steadily as you turn into the corner, reaching zero brake pressure at the apex. For example, begin lifting off the brakes as you initiate steering to keep the car settled and grippy. Example

Sorry for the delay. Your braking points are looking good. There are a few places we can work on later with regards to brake pressure but this is good for now. Keep up the good work and have fun!
Extra - In most corners you aren't maximising the tyres grip. Try turning the steering wheel a bit more, which will allow you to take more speed into corners. Make sure you don't turn it too much to avoid understeer. Understeer is when the front tyres lose grip before the rear tyres, which results in the car steering less than optimal. This can cause the tyres to wear faster and increase tyre temps (making the tyre too hot), you'll also have to go slower through corners to make it around. - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track πͺ
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
