Please drive longer sessions. Aim for at least 10 laps per session to get a proper review, otherwise we cannot see your best efforts.
----------------------
11/12/2025
You're almost there, but let's make a few adjustments before moving on. I’d like you to focus on your braking points and how you're applying the trailbrake. Make sure to hit the brakes only once in the key braking zones. Since we're bringing everything together in one assessment, give it another try and fine-tune these areas. You're very close – let's get this right before moving forward.
Extra - Here there is a small kink before the main braking zone. You are slowing too much in the kink. Try to get the car straightened before the initial braking phase, as braking in the kink can unsettle the car and encourage the inside front to lock. Example
----------------------
27/11/2025
Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪

You're on the right track, but there are a few tweaks we need to perfect your technique. Pay special attention to where and how you brake, particularly with trail braking. Aim to engage the brakes just once in critical braking areas. As we're synthesizing all elements for this evaluation, take another shot at refining these aspects. You're nearly there—let's nail this down before we proceed.
Extra - You're sacrificing potential speed in the middle of turns by not cutting the apex as sharply as possible. Maximise the track's width on entry, at the apex, and on exit when the car is under control and stable. Example
----------------------

Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - One area to target is improving your minimum speed in corners, which relies heavily on braking later and staying committed to the throttle through the turn. This will tighten the gap in your corner exit performance. For instance, experimenting with a slightly later braking zone can unlock more consistent speed retention. Example
----------------------
26/09/2025
Your braking strategy is promising, but a few refinements could elevate your overall performance. For this comprehensive assessment, it's important that every element works in harmony, so I encourage you to revisit your braking approach. Your timing and force at the braking points are impressive; however, consider experimenting with a more controlled and gradual release of brake pressure as you transition into the turn. This adjustment might help you maintain better balance and flow through the corner. With these tweaks, you'll be well on your way to a flawless performance. Keep pushing—you're very close to mastering it!
Extra - Try to be less erratic with the throttle, smaller motions will help. This is tricky but when you ease off the throttle, you often take the throttle to 20-30% pressure. Try to use smaller movements to avoid slowing the car too much. Example
----------------------
12/09/2025
Please do more laps. You need between 30 to 50 to really see how you're doing. Our trainers are here to help whenever. Good luck and have fun out there!
Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example
----------------------
28/08/2025
You are most of the way there with braking but I am seeing a few areas we could improve. Since this is about bringing all the areas into one assessment I would like to see you try this again. Focus particularly on your braking point and the way you trailbrake. Try to also hit the brakes only once in key braking zones. You are almost there, lets just get this right before moving on.
Extra - Brake faster even on the fast corners, try a quick dab instead of your currently longer ease on and off, test these two styles. Example
----------------------
14/08/2025
Could you please drive more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to get a read of how you are doing, even if you are not driving as part of a specific plan. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
----------------------
31/07/2025
Your steering looks reasonably smooth and you unwind the wheel quickly but in control. This enables you to get on the power faster as the car can straighten up under traction. The car is also more stable and predictable, giving you better control as you power out of the corner. Try to use the reference to compare your steering on turn-in as well to further improve your times. Braking up next
Extra - Avoid hitting the brake pedal multiple times in one braking zone. Ideally you want to hit it firmly to begin with and then ease off as things slow down. Hitting it more than once suggests you broke too early. Example
----------------------
17/07/2025
To refine your vehicle control, focus on smooth steering transitions when exiting a turn. Instead of forcing the wheel back into position, allow it to naturally return to neutral. This process, known as unwinding, involves gently easing your grip and letting the wheel slip through your hands in a controlled way. To perfect this, practice with your hands at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions, ensuring that the wheel self-corrects with minimal effort as the car straightens. By doing so, you'll not only improve handling but also promote even tire wear. Precision in your steering inputs is key to mastering this skill, which is essential for acing both this and future assessments.
Extra - You're sacrificing potential speed in the middle of turns by not cutting the apex as sharply as possible. Maximise the track's width on entry, at the apex, and on exit when the car is under control and stable. Example
----------------------
03/07/2025
When exiting a turn, it's crucial to allow the steering wheel to return to its neutral position naturally, rather than forcing it. This technique, known as unwinding, should be done by easing your grip and letting the wheel slide through your hands in a controlled manner. You are still not quite there. To correct this, practice smooth hand movements at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions, ensuring that as the car straightens, the wheel corrects itself with minimal resistance. This will enhance vehicle control and promote even tire wear. Remember, precision in steering inputs leads to better overall vehicle handling. Mastery of this skill will be essential for passing this and future assessments.
Extra - Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well. Example
---------------------
20/06/2025
Brake bias is a subjective skill and the aim of the assessment was to open your racing mind up to the ideas and experiences that can be found with altering the braking bias. It teaches you to adapt and examine you braking and highlight that small changes to your trail braking can make a significant difference to your lap times. We hope you took the opportunity to play with the bias of the car, either before a stint or during it to really understand how Pro drivers make change on track to attack the corners specific characteristics.
Extra - Back to basics on this one, use as much of the track as possible. Wider on entry and exit is required here. You are 10kph slower than the reference lap mainly due to a braking a little too hard and making the corner steeper than necessary - example

Extra - By not aiming for the sharpest possible apex, you're losing precious speed mid-corner. It's crucial to make use of every bit of track space available at the entry, apex, and exit points where your vehicle maintains stability. Example
----------------------
10/04/2025
Your turn in point was decent there was no drifting towards the corner apex before you fully commit to the turn in. This turn in point determines the speed at which you enter a corner. Turning in too early or too late can result in either scrubbing off too much speed or carrying too much speed into the corner, making it difficult to maintain control of the vehicle. You handle this well and not surprisingly your corner segment times are generally good.
Extra - Try to be less erratic with the throttle, smaller motions will help. This is tricky but when you ease off the throttle, you often take the throttle to 20-30% pressure. Try to use smaller movements to avoid slowing the car too much. Example

27/02/2025
We believe that you should have another go at this assignment. Right now, your main focus point should be using more track on the corner entry. That will help you find better turn-in points and have a better angle of attack into the corner, carrying more speed and having more grip through it.
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link:
https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track - scrubbing speed. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. It looks like here you unwind the wheel in a step once you realise this instead of smoothly fixing your mistake. Example

Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example
----------------------
23/01/2025
Your consistency, knowledge of the track and overall racing technique is improving. We will give you a pass. Congratulations. All good drivers will take the time to examine their telemetry. When you are drive so well, sometimes it is hard to see exactly the mistakes that are taking place on track. Just the knowledge that sometime wasn't perfect is keeping you grinding out the laps. This is great and instils needed muscle memory however, we'd advise getting dirty in the telemetry a bit more. Find common issues, or weak corners so when you are next on track you can hone in on needed areas. Train smart and train hard! Good luck.

Extra - Avoid hitting the brake pedal multiple times in one braking zone. Ideally you want to hit it firmly to begin with and then ease off as things slow down. Hitting it more than once suggests you broke too early. Example
----------------------
09/01/2025
We'll give you one more shot at this assignment before we move on. You need to try to pull all you have learnt into one assessment. The lap times you are doing just don't cut it and will fall dramatically if you get all the basics right. Have one more go.
Extra - You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example
----------------------
27/12/2024
The primary challenge lies in the fact that each segment presents several issues that need to be tackled. Often, the choice of racing line was suboptimal, making it tough to position yourself for a strong exit. Additionally, the high number of invalid laps indicates you might be pushing a bit too hard. It would be wiser to slightly reduce your speed to ensure race readiness. While having one outstanding hotlap is impressive, achieving 20 laps of fast, consistent driving is what will clinch more victories. This consistency will also enhance your adaptability from one segment to another, or even within a single corner. You'll gain a deeper understanding of your car, enabling you to make small, confident adjustments that will ultimately lower your lap times. Remember, smart training leads to great results.
Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example
----------------------
13/12/2024
The key to improvement lies in consistency and control. Rather than focusing on a single perfect lap, aim for a series of fast, reliable laps that build adaptability and confidence. Avoid overdriving—pushing too hard leads to mistakes and invalid laps. Instead, prioritize smooth, deliberate adjustments to your racing line and braking points to better understand your car's behaviour. Smart, focused practice will not only lower lap times but also prepare you for the challenges of a full race.
Extra - Your throttle application is delaying your acceleration phase, impacting your straight-line speed. Maximize throttle input earlier to optimize top speed for the next straight. Focus on swift and seamless throttle control, utilizing track space efficiently to maintain straight alignment for maximal power transfer and acceleration efficiency. Example
----------------------
28/11/2024
It is not uncommon for the third combination assessment to take a while. The main issues are that each segment has a couple of problems that need addressing. Racing line choice was often out and thus setting yourself up for a good exit was at times extremely hard. A lot of invalid laps as well is a sign that you are trying to push yourself just that little bit too much. It is better to drop your pace just a little to get yourself race ready. One exceptional hotlap is great but 20 laps of fast consistent lapping will win you more races. You'll also find that when you have that consistency you'll be able to adapt better from one segment to the next or even within a corner. You'll understand your car better and be able to make micro adjustments with a confidence that brings down your lap times. Train smart and good things will come.
Extra - You tend to brake too early and gently. Try your best to brake more firmly to begin with and trail off deeper into the corner. You should be able to pick later reference points once you master this. Example
----------------------
15/11/2024
Well done, you have successfully completed your setup work. Your dedication, hard work, and hopefully new understanding of setups have allowed you to pass this milestone. Your grasp of testing different setups in sim racing demonstrates your commitment to improving your skills. Congratulations on your achievement and good luck for your next Combination Assessment.
Extra - We've noticed that your trail braking can improve. In racing, being smooth is important to keep the car balanced and the grip levels high. While the first attack on the brakes is supposed to be very quick, releasing the brakes is a slow and smooth process. Try to start releasing the brakes at around the turn-in point and do it in a gradual motion until you reach the apex. You have the right idea but end up releasing the pedal too early. Example
----------------------
01/11/2024
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁
----------------------
18/10/2024
Your consistency of reaching 100% throttle as quickly as the reference lap was very good. You have mastered a technique here that many drivers find hard. Keep working through the items on the Previous Plans list that you struggle with most and you'll be knocking even more time off your laps.
Extra - You've made good progress, but it's important to address your tendency to brake early. While being cautious is understandable, braking too early can lead to a loss of momentum, affecting your overall lap time. To optimize your performance, try to identify braking points that allow you to carry more speed into the corners. Gradually delay your braking to find the sweet spot where you're slowing down just enough without sacrificing speed. With practice, you'll find the right balance and see noticeable improvements in your lap times. Keep refining your technique—you've got this! Example
----------------------
03/10/2024
When you steer your car, you are essentially changing its direction by altering the angle of the wheels. However, if you turn the wheels too much, the car will experience understeer. This means that the car's front wheels lose grip and traction, causing it to slow down and become less responsive to your steering inputs. So, while it may seem tempting to turn your steering wheel as much as possible to take a turn, it is actually more efficient to find the sweet spot where the car maintains its grip and speed. By mastering the balance between steering and maintaining traction, you'll be able to navigate the track with ease and speed. During this week you've managed this very well with only a couple of times that you've been scrubbing the tyres, so very well done.
Example
----------------------
19/09/2024
Your racing lines aren't taking full advantage of the track. Stay wide on the entry, don't drift towards the apex, wait for your turn in point then eyeball the apex and hug the apex kerb and then determine a good exit acceleration point to take advantage of the whole width on the track on exit. You normally manage to get two out of three parts correct. i.e. entry and apex or entry and exit but miss the apex. It is when you manage to hit all three is where you increase the radius of the corner and give the car the chance to carry faster speeds.
Extra - Even though your apexes were good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example
----------------------
06/09/2024
Great use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%.
Extra - You are braking too early and sometimes not enough brake pressure. Try to think what type of corner you are entering and how you can optimise by braking differently by also tweaking your racing line. Example
----------------------
22/08/2024
As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra - You tend to brake too early and gently. Try your best to brake more firmly to begin with and trail off deeper into the corner. You should be able to pick later reference points once you master this. Example
----------------------
08/08/2024
There were quite a few errors that need addressing. With this second combination assessment we are now looking at eight different factors that make up your driving prowess. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you break. Most importantly though we were on and off the brake far too much. It is so important to analyse your sessions. Without this analysis you'll always be second guessing how you are performing on track. The top drivers will be looking for small errors and keep of testing changes to the lines and braking technique to see if they can save time on a corner.
Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example
----------------------
25/07/2024
This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track.Try to reduce your steering input a lot and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. Example
----------------------
11/07/2024
Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra - You are a little bit slow getting back on power here. Try to get on throttle and unwind the wheel a little sooner to kick you out of the corner. Example
----------------------
29/06/2024
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - In this segment you brake early. To make up for this you try to get on the throttle when you are already understeering which just causes you to understeeer even more, as seen in your large steering angles. Example
----------------------
13/06/2024
The lines are good (there is still room to get tighter though) and your braking points are good. Your mid chicane acceleration is ok, in some chicanes you'll be able to get a bit more out of this section, use that short period to get a short burst of speed but remember the final exit is all important. Try not to come completely off the throttle when not necessary, sometimes you'll be able to just release the throttle 30-50% instead. Also, remember it is your exit speed that is of the most importance, concentrate on this.
Extra - Try pushing the braking zone into this corner. You can actually mount the kerb more than you think and carry more speed. Example
----------------------
31/05/2024
Nicely driven! You improved in these 4 key areas over the last few weeks. There will always to improvements and adjustments that you can make. It is all about fine tuning those braking points, racing line and throttle application. Your gears look decent but always check back to the telemetry. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - Your throttle modulation through corner complexes could use some work. I would like to see more confidence in carrying speed. Compare yourself to the reference driver for best results. Examples
----------------------
17/05/2024
Good corner gear choices, point to note you can push each gear just that little bit further. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far.
You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - Watch out that you don't miss the apexes. Each technique needs to work in unison with the next. Remember the basic rule, wide on entry, hit the apex, use the full width on exit - example
----------------------
02/05/2024
Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.
Extra - You go in way too quick into this hairpin and completely miss the apex. This is where you lose almost all of your lap time. Example
----------------------
18/04/2024
Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apex's. Great job using the whole width of the track. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can slowly tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are nailing the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up!
Please can you also make sure you are on the latest logger via this link: https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger
Extra - Make sure to use all of the braking potential. You sometimes spend a lot more distance slowing down than the reference driver. Example
----------------------
04/04/2024
Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already flying. Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - Watch your gear choice. You are often a gear too low compared to the reference. Example
----------------------
29/03/2024
Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
