Your turn in point was extremely good, there was no drifting towards the corner apex before you fully commit to the turn in. Â This turn in point determines the speed at which you enter a corner. Turning in too early or too late can result in either scrubbing off too much speed or carrying too much speed into the corner, making it difficult to maintain control of the vehicle. You handle this very well and not surprisingly your corner segment times are generally very good.
You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking a later point so you can gain more time overall by carrying more speed under braking and maintaining a higher minimum speed in general through the corner. - Example

A good effort, but there were too many segments where you were letting the car drift slightly towards the corner before fully committing to the turn-in point. Try to brake in a straight line as much as possible and remember to really open those entries to increase the corner radius. Good luck!
Extra -
In corner complexes and chicanes, you're sometimes carrying too much speed at the entry, which is sending you too deep after the first apex, slowing you down at the exit. Remember the exit is the most important part here and you need to open the entry into that final corner to maximize exit speed. That means sacrificing some exit speed after the first apex to then be faster at the exit of the whole section - Example.

Impressive driving. Your consistency, knowledge of the track and overall racing technique is looking strong. Obviously this is reflected in the lap times. Congratulations. All good drivers will take the time to examine their telemetry. When you are drive so well, sometimes it is hard to see exactly the mistakes that are taking place on track. Just the knowledge that sometime wasn't perfect is keeping you grinding out the laps. This is great and instils needed muscle memory however, we'd advise getting dirty in the telemetry a bit more. Find common issues, or weak corners so when you are next on track you can hone in on needed areas. Train smart and train hard! Good luck.
Extra -
You are sometimes not using the whole width of the track, and exit towards the middle of the track, rather than towards the outside of the track. Try and accelerate with more pressure so you can carry a higher speed out of the corner, which will help drift the car out wide naturally towards the edge of the track, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example
----------------------
09/07/2026
It is not uncommon for the third combination assessment to take a while. The main issues are that each segment has a couple of problems that need addressing. Racing line choice was often out and thus setting yourself up for a good exit was at times extremely hard. A lot of invalid laps as well is a sign that you are trying to push yourself just that little bit too much. It is better to drop your pace just a little to get yourself race ready. One exceptional hotlap is great but 20 laps of fast consistent lapping will win you more races. You'll also find that when you have that consistency you'll be able to adapt better from one segment to the next or even within a corner. You'll understand your car better and be able to make micro adjustments with a confidence that brings down your lap times. Train smart and good things will come.
Extra -
You are braking too early and lightly in the heavy braking zones, costing you a significant amount of time, as your speed is too low approaching the corner, however, you are carrying too much speed in the apex due to the light braking not slowing your car down enough. This runs you too deep into the corner, and gives you a slower run on the exit. Try braking later and harder, so you can carry more speed under braking but also to slow down the extra speed more efficiently, allowing you to not carry too much apex speed and allow you to exit the corner with a quicker acceleration, and gaining you more time overall. - Example
----------------------
25/06/2026
Well done, you have successfully completed your setup work. Your dedication, hard work, and hopefully new understanding of setups have allowed you to pass this milestone. Your grasp of testing different setups in sim racing demonstrates your commitment to improving your skills. Congratulations on your achievement and good luck for your next Combination Assessment.
Extra -
You are braking too early and with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed into the corner and gain more time overall just by maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example
â
----------------------
11/06/2026
Your consistency of reaching 100% throttle as quickly as the reference lap was very good. You have mastered a technique here that many drivers find hard. Keep working through the items on the Previous Plans list that you struggle with most and you'll be knocking even more time off your laps.
Extra -
You are lifting too much in the esses section, causing your speed to be compromised and costing you a significant amount of time as a result. Try and apply more throttle input so you can maintain a higher speed through this section, which will reflect on the following straight too, gaining you more time overall. - Example
----------------------
28/05/2026
Your technique has notably advanced, particularly in how fluidly you navigate through most of the course. Remember, this particular plan is notorious for technicality, so caution is key. By keeping your steering, braking, and acceleration smooth, you'll better manage the car's balance. Additionally, maximizing the track's width could further reduce your lap times.
Extra -
You are not using the full width of the track, but instead you are braking in the middle of the track. This causes you to have to brake earlier and extend the braking zone in order to avoid overshooting the corner and to make the apex. Try position towards the outside of the track, so you can brake later and carry more speed under braking, also allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall as a result. - Example
----------------------
13/05/2026
Please drive more road tracks. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment with you only driving ovals. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track!!

Great use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%.
Extra -
You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop more than optimal before the ideal braking zone and costing you significant time. Try adjusting to a later braking point so you can carry more speed under braking, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------
16/04/2026
As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra -
You were late on turning in, meaning you had to lift off the throttle more to avoid going off track, costing you significant time on the exit as your exit speed was compromised. Try turning in a bit earlier so you can carry a higher minimum speed through the corner by lifting off less, gaining you more time. - Example
----------------------
02/04/2026
This is a pass and quite a good one. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
Extra -
In Turn 1 at Oschersleben, you carried too much speed into the first part, putting you on a more shallow entry for Turn 2 and overshooting the corner. Try lift off the throttle at Turn 1, to carry less speed in the corner, and help position your car in a more optimal line into Turn 2 and avoid overshooting the corner. - Example

Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment. My advice, though, would be: instead of just achieving this once or twice, make this a standard part of your training to do 10+ laps, all with really good times. If you fail, stop, go again, and repeat.
Extra -
As you are pushing your braking points to the extreme, this can have a counter-intuitive effect. The problem is that it sometimes means that you are not able to rotate the car quickly enough to get a great exit out of the corner. Work on this balance and see if you can save a tenth occasionally in these situations. Braking with a little more force and pushing all the way to just at the top of the 100%, It's usually better than levelling out around the 90% mark - example
â
----------------------
19/02/2026
Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra - Your biggest hurdle at present is lifting off the gas prematurely rather than flooring it to complete throttle. Try refining your trajectory slightly by taking a tighter line into the apexâthat'll be a game-changer. Example
----------------------
04/02/2026
There are still improvements needed. Entry kerb - apex kerb - exit kerb as a general rule will show you where you are able to use more track to test getting the car through the corners at a higher speed. Use the kerb, you don't have to heavily ride it, just brush against them to get the feeling of how wide you can go. It is mainly your entry to the corner where you just need to be slightly wider. Take a marker from the car and try and align yourself to the absolute limits of the track width.
Extra - Getting on the power too soon is inducing understeer, causing you to back off the throttle mid-corner. Wait a touch longer before committing, then apply the throttle more assertively yet progressively. Example
----------------------
21/01/2026
The lines are good (there is still room to get tighter though) and your braking points are good. Your mid chicane acceleration is ok, in some chicanes you'll be able to get a bit more out of this section, use that short period to get a short burst of speed but remember the final exit is all important. Try not to come completely off the throttle when not necessary, sometimes you'll be able to just release the throttle 30-50% instead. Also, remember it is your exit speed that is of the most importance, concentrate on this.
Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example
----------------------
07/01/2026
When it comes to the chicanes in particular there are some key areas we can look to improve. In particular you typically enter the corner quite a bit slower than you could do. When looking at the reference lap it is often because you are not committing and cutting the apexes as much as you could be, especially on the way in. Of course this is a fine balance but it looks like there is more on the table. The straighter the line you can get away with will allow you to carry the most speed through the back to back corners.
Extra - Your car's speed through the corner suffers because you're not hugging the apex closely. Remember to leverage the full width of the track right from the entry, through the apex, and as you exit, particularly where your car feels stable. Example
----------------------
24/12/2025
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited, and the majority of the racing skills learned have been displayed across multiple segments. There are some areas where improvements are needed, which will lower your lap times. Firstly, work on refining your cornering techniques. Mastering this will significantly benefit your overall performance. Secondly, there are several instances where your gear choice could be improved. Learning truly comes from driving, analysing, and then driving again until you feel you've reached a plateau, then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible
Extra - Your next step is to focus on increasing cornering momentum, particularly by pushing your braking points closer to the turn and maintaining throttle input longer. This will directly improve your exit speeds and reduce lap time deficits. For example, a smoother transition from braking to throttle can help you maintain flow through the corner. Example
----------------------
11/12/2025
It is a hard task to bring all these skills together at the same time. Keep up the work, it is worth persevering. By concentrating on the important of the braking point and power will make it possible to turn your attention more to the throttle. It is at this point that you'll see the biggest improvements in your times. The braking points and apex work suffered in this combination assessment. Concentrate on these two areas to move onto the next training plan.
Extra - Here there is a small kink before the main braking zone. You are slowing too much in the kink. Try to get the car straightened before the initial braking phase, as braking in the kink can unsettle the car and encourage the inside front to lock. Example
----------------------
26/11/2025
There were some promising moments, but also a few rough patches. The main hiccup was dialling in your brakingâboth in terms of timing and pressure. You seemed to have a hard time hitting that perfect braking sweet spot consistently. On the flip side, your gear selection really shined, a notable improvement from previous sessions where it was a weak link. Blending all these elements together is no small featâit takes plenty of practice and patience. My tip? Focus on mastering one or two tracks until the nuances click. And don't forget to squeeze in some quick laps to catch any obvious slip-ups in your telemetry before they turn into bad habits.
Extra - Even though your apexes were really good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example
----------------------
12/11/2025
Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra - Even though your apexes were really good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example
----------------------
31/10/2025
Well done, a nice improvement on this assignment! You often show good control over the brake pedal, but there are still some things you can work on.
First, focus a bit more on the transition from full throttle to full brakes, sometimes you overlap both pedals a bit too much, hitting the brakes while still at full throttle.
Secondly, your attack on the brakes is quite good, but there are some segments where it's evident that you might be unsure of your braking point and end up pumping the brakes a bit. That can have some less-than-ideal consequences to the car's weight balance and grip during the braking zones and into the corner. Make sure you have those braking points in check!
That's all for now, onto your next assignment. Good luck!
Extra - You're often losing time at corner complexes from running in too deep after the first corner, which gives you a worse entry into the following one, losing time on the exit from the whole section (example). You show good knowledge of the track in these segments, but it's often tricky to find a balance on the track position for the last corner. You're currently losing time on exit, that means you're still entering that last corner too tight. Sacrifice a bit more exit speed and open up that second corner a bit more so you can be quicker on the throttle and gain time on the exit from the whole section.
----------------------
15/10/2025
There are some bad corners and some good corners. It is important to braking hard to be able to stretch your braking points. Brake hard and brake deep. Remember to refer back to the reference lap to see how you are doing. Small adjustments are needed all the time. We are only a little way off so we will move on. Each of these plans works on top of the previous one. So don't forget your braking points as we look closer at the apex of each corner. Also, it is important that you don't rest on the brake pedal before you commit to the corner.
Extra - One key area to focus on is maintaining higher minimum speeds, which largely comes down to braking later and staying on the throttle longer through corners. This approach will help you reduce the gap in your corner exit performance. For example, a slight delay in braking can make a noticeable difference in carrying momentum through turns. Example
----------------------
26/09/2025
There needs to be a little more speed and urgency in your braking. Sometimes you nail it but on too many occasions there is too much hesitancy. You are braking a little earlier than the reference lap and getting to 100% braking later. Try to press the brake pedal quicker whilst doing your best to maintain traction. Also, try to avoid resting on the brake pedal before fully committing to the braking phase. Practice is needed but it is a skill that is relatively easy to view and adapt to.
Extra - Your biggest hurdle at present is lifting off the gas prematurely rather than flooring it to complete throttle. Try refining your trajectory slightly by taking a tighter line into the apexâthat'll be a game-changer. Example
----------------------
10/09/2025
Your braking is too inconsistent. Sometimes you are showing good technique and other times your braking strength is not where it needs to be for that particular corner. This leads to other mistakes in your driving. Try to improve your consistency for the next assessment so we can move past this stage.
Extra - You've made good progress, but it's important to address your tendency to brake early. While being cautious is understandable, braking too early can lead to a loss of momentum, affecting your overall lap time. To optimise your performance, try to identify braking points that allow you to carry more speed into the corners. Gradually delay your braking to find the sweet spot where you're slowing down just enough without sacrificing speed. With practice, you'll find the right balance and see noticeable improvements in your lap times. Keep refining your techniqueâyou've got this! Example
----------------------
28/08/2025
Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. Extra - You are often braking in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners or just lift - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example
----------------------
13/08/2025
Finding the fastest way through a corner isnât always about sticking to the line that feels âjust right.â Sometimes, pushing closer to the apex unlocks hidden speed. Imagine starting wide, aiming your entry toward the curb, and adjusting when you clip the apexâearlier or later, depending on the turnâs demands. On the exit, let the car drift naturally across the track, using every inch of space. Over time, these adjustments become automatic, and once they do, you can fine-tune your approach to shave off even more time. The primary problem right now is that you're easing off the accelerator too early rather than accelerating fully to maximum throttle. Consider tweaking your racing path a bitâaiming for a tighter approach to the apex should make a big difference. Example

Please do more laps. You need between 30 to 50 to really see how you're doing. Our trainers are here to help whenever. Good luck and have fun out there! Please drive longer sessions. Aim for at least 10 laps per session to get a proper review, otherwise we cannot see your best efforts.
----------------------
17/07/2025
There are moments when you nail the apex perfectly, staying tight with a solid line through the corner and a smooth exit. However, there are still too many instances where you're not fully maximizing this, and there's potential to get even tighter on the apex. Remember to begin wide on the entry kerb, focus on your apex (whether it's early or late), and accelerate so that you're using the full width of the track. With a bit more practice, you'll develop a better feel for each corner. Once youâve got that, you can start fine-tuning for smaller improvements. Aim to get at least 20 more laps in to see noticeable progress.
Extra - Your car's speed through the corner suffers because you're not hugging the apex closely. Remember to leverage the full width of the track right from the entry, through the apex, and as you exit, particularly where your car feels stable. Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. đ
----------------------
20/06/2025
Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on most of the time. Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily.
Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! đȘ
Extra - Try to avoid etting on the throttle too early. Have patience, wait just a little and then have the security and knowledge that when you accelerate you can give gas quickly and smoothly without lifting off the pedal at all. It'll help you hit the top high speeds on the following straights - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
â
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
