How to become a better simracer

Are you looking to up your sim racing game? Whether you're a beginner or an experienced simracer, there are always ways to improve your skills and techniques.

Here are some tips on how to become a better simracer:

  1. Practice, practice, practice. The more you race, the more comfortable you'll become with the controls and the track. Try to race as often as possible, and don't be afraid to try out new tracks and cars.
  2. Set up your rig correctly. Having the right equipment can make a big difference in your sim racing experience. Make sure your steering wheel and pedals are properly calibrated, and consider investing in a racing seat and virtual reality headset for an even more immersive experience.
  3. Learn the track. Familiarize yourself with the layout of the track you'll be racing on, including the turns and braking points. You can use a track map or watch in-game replays to get a better feel for the track.
  4. Adjust your driving settings. Most sim racing games like ACC allow you to customize your driving settings, including the level of assistance you receive from the game. Experiment with different settings to find what works best for you.
  5. Use proper hand positioning on the steering wheel. Proper hand placement on the steering wheel can help you maintain better control of the car. Try to keep your hands at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions, and use a light touch when steering.
  6. Look ahead. Instead of focusing on the car in front of you, try to look ahead to where you want to go. This will help you anticipate turns and make better decisions on the track. 7. Manage your tires. Your car's tires are an important factor in your performance on the track. Make sure to keep an eye on your tire wear, and consider pitting for new tires when needed.
  8. Communicate with your team. If you're racing in a team, make sure to communicate with your teammates. Let them know when you're pitting, and try to work together to strategize on the track.
  9. Analyze your laps. After each race, review your lap times and try to identify areas where you can improve. You can use Track Titan to analyze your laps and see where you can make changes to be even faster!
