We’re competitive and driven, but not at the expense of kindness. Being generous means taking the time to help and enable others, even if you are driven to achieve your own goals. This is the opposite of a cut-throat culture.

Obsessiveness

‍

Being slightly mad about something is good. We’d rather be weirdly obsessed than a bit more “normal”, whatever that means. Being obsessive shows in how you work and what you are passionate about in your personal life. If it doesn’t keep you up at night, it doesn’t count.

Leaving No Hats Behind

Building a complex, cross-functional early-stage startup means we have to wear many different hats. That doesn’t mean we should all do everything, but if something needs to be done (i.e. a hat has not been picked up yet), get it done, no matter if it fits your job description. This is not about neglecting good processes and specialisation; it’s about being willing to help when needed.

We are dead-serious and academic about our work but happy to take the piss out of ourselves and each other. Think uni seminar room vibe - but with work that affects hundreds of thousands of real users globally and can lead to a generational financial outcome.
