We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track. Please can you also make sure you are on the latest logger via this link:

Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example

Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Extra - You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example

Your chicanes are looking quite good, but there are a few things you could improve on before we move on. Firstly, you are often releasing the brakes too early on the entry to the chicane. This means the car doesn't rotate as much, and you are more at risk of unsettling the car. There were also a couple of corners where you got on the throttle too late on the exit, like in this example. This hurts your speed all the way down the next straight and into the next corner.
Extra - We noticed you might be running an older version of the Track Titan logger. Please follow this link if you need help running the update https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger otherwise if you are on the latest version please contact keith@tracktitan.io and he'll get this working for you.

Nicely driven! You improved in these 4 key areas over the last few weeks. There will always to improvements and adjustments that you can make. It is all about fine tuning those braking points, racing line and throttle application. Your gears look decent but always check back to the telemetry. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - Let's address your throttle timing. If you're hitting that gas pedal too late, you're missing out on optimal acceleration and forcing yourself to play catch-up. Aim to apply throttle promptly after braking to maintain a smooth and consistent pace. Don't leave it too late; find that balance for a smoother ride. - example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - Keep an eye on your racing lines. In this example, you turned in too early which meant you were on too tight of a line on the exit. This forced you to stay off the throttle for a lot longer than the reference, giving you a worse exit and a slower run to the next corner.

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - Try to focus on your racing line through chicanes. Occasionally you are going too deep into the first part of the chicane, meaning you can't get a very good exit due to the tighter angle. Here's an example of this. You weren't able to get on the throttle until a long time after the reference lap, simply because you had a tighter corner to turn.
----------------------
22/05/2024
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.
Extra - There are times where you could be more confident on the throttle, like in this example. You can trust the grip of the car more through fast corners like this, and get on the throttle a lot earlier.
----------------------
08/05/2024
Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on. Important! You have clearly got good reference markers. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.
Extra - Watch your gear choices, you are dropping too low and this is definitely affecting your lap times. You are not as fast at a 100% throttle as the reference lap - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
