Instructor Notes

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Bonus Focus Point

You are lifting off the throttle too much, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try and ease off the throttle with less pressure so you can carry more speed through the corner, gaining you more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Good racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can slowly tweak over time on your entry and exit lines, and there were some incidents along the way, but you are nailing the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up!

Extra -

It looks like you're sometimes losing a bit of time on corner complexes. Most of the times, you're going too deep after the first apex (Example 1: corners 2 and 3 on segment 4 | Example 2: from segment 5 to segment 6) and end up losing time at the exit of the segment. In corner complexes, it's usually faster to sacrifice some exit speed after the first apex to then have a better entry into the second corner, especially if the following segment includes a straight or a full throttle section.During your practise sessions, try different approaches to the segment in the given example and see how each one affects your delta. Good luck!

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.  Good luck and have fun on track

Extra -

You are braking too late, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner, costing you a considerable amount of time as your line is significantly compromised as a result, giving you a much shallower line in the second part of the chicane. Try braking earlier to avoid overshooting the corner, allowing you to hit the apex, maintaining a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall. - Example

Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on. Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra -

You are getting back on throttle too late, causing your exit speed to be affected as you are not able to accelerate out the corner as quickly as the reference lap. Try getting back on throttle earlier so you can carry a higher exit speed, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
