Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Bonus Focus Point

You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and cost you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking at a later point so you can carry more speed under braking, gaining you more time overall due to this. - Example

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.  Good luck and have fun on track

Extra -

You are too slow getting back on throttle when exiting the corner, costing you a lot of time as your exit speed is affected as a result of the slower acceleration. Try and get back onto the throttle quicker at the apex to allow yourself a quicker acceleration and a higher exit speed, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra -

You are too slow getting back on full throttle on corner exits, costing you a considerable amount of time as your exit speed is significantly lower than optimal due to the slower acceleration. Try and get back onto full throttle quicker so you can carry a higher exit speed out of the corner, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

You're doing really well, although there were a couple of instances where you just missed the mark. No worries though, it happens to the best of us! Something to keep in mind is that sometimes there are segments of the track where you don't need to brake at all. In those instances, simply lifting off the throttle can be enough to help you retain your speed and maintain control. Enjoy your apex work and don't be afraid to test the entry-apex-exit kerbs!

Extra -

You are too slow getting back on full throttle on corner exit, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result of a slower acceleration speed out of the corner. Try get back on the throttle fully quicker, so you can carry a higher acceleration on corner exit, gaining you more time overall. - Example

There were some good segments but unfortunately too many missed braking points. Practice trying to be consistent. This is best done by driving a little slower than your maximum. Remember your braking points and try to repeat for 3 laps in a row, always trying to be within a second and a half of the lap before. Only when you achieve this try going a little faster. Repeat his process for many laps but don't forget to put back to the analysis to make sure you aren't making any big mistakes.  Brake hard and fast, never rest your foot on the brake before committing to the braking point. Good luck and I'm sure with enough laps and the advice above you'll be passing this driving skill.

Extra -

You are braking too late, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner and cost you time on the exit. Try braking at an earlier point to avoid overshooting the corner, allowing you to hit the apex and gain more time overall as a result of maintaining a higher minimum speed through the corner. - Example

In other heavy braking zones, you are releasing the brakes too early, causing you to carry too much speed into the apex and compromise the second part of the corner, as well as giving you a slower acceleration on the exit. Try hold the brakes longer to slow the car more for the corner, so you can hold a better line through the corner, gaining you more time. - Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
