Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Bonus Focus Point

You are braking too early and with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly before the ideal braking zone, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result, as you are too slow approaching the corner in comparison to the reference lap. Try and brake with less pressure and at a later point so you can carry more speed under braking, which will in turn let you carry more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra -

You are braking with too much pressure mid-chicane, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and cost you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try and brake with less pressure, so you can carry more speed through the corner, gaining you more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Very nice, your braking points are looking quite decent. Even though you're often braking early, you have clearly got good reference markers. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.

Extra -

You're often braking very hard in corners where you need lighter braking (Example 1 | Example 2). Then, you're compensating the lack of speed with the throttle, but the damage is already done by then. Accelerating early will shift the car's weight backwards affecting its handling during the corner. Go over your telemetry and try to modulate your braking in order to brake only the necessary amount without needing to use the throttle.
Good luck!

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
