We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

You need some work in this area, there were multiple times in one lap were you were getting on the power and having to lift off on exit. Practice hard and be extremely conscious of when you are lifting off the throttle (usually on corner exit). Try not to drive at 100% aggression. Back off a little until you get the feeling of pressing the throttle pedal in one direction throughout the corner exit. This is all about not lifting off the throttle.
Extra -
You are getting back on throttle too early, which causes you to accelerate too early and run wide, compromising your exit as you have to lift to avoid going off track. Try and be more patient with the throttle so you don't carry too much apex speed, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall as a result. - Example

Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra -
You are braking too early. causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking later so you can gain more time just by carrying more speed into the braking zone. - Example
----------------------
19/06/2026
Your racing lines are starting to look like you are understanding. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are still a few corners where you are entering too tight and exiting too narrow, which costs you minimum speed. It's just about a pass but lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra -
Here you turn in too late. This means your entry is compromised because you have to use a tighter radius. For corners where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later like this but not here where there is a corner following. Example
----------------------
03/06/2026
Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra -
You are braking a bit early, causing your speed to drop a bit more than optimal before the ideal braking zone, costing you a bit of time as a result. Try adjusting to a later braking point so you can gain more time just by carrying more speed under braking. - Example
----------------------
20/05/2026
When it comes to the chicanes in particular there are some key areas we can look to improve. In particular you typically enter the corner quite a bit slower than you could do. When looking at the reference lap it is often because you are not committing and cutting the apexes as much as you could be, especially on the way in. Of course this is a fine balance but it looks like there is more on the table. The straighter the line you can get away with will allow you to carry the most speed through the back to back corners.
Extra -
You are braking too early, causing your speed to be reduced earlier than optimal. You are then playing around with easing off the pressure and applying the pressure in an attempt to carry more speed, which is costing you time rather than gaining you time. Try braking at a later point, and hold the brake pressure until you have to turn into the corner, which will gain you time overall due to carrying more speed under braking, and it will help prevent you from releasing and applying the brakes to carry speed, as the later braking will already carry extra speed for you. - Example
You are also holding throttle while braking in the same example. Be sure you are fully off the pedal and not resting on it, or apply a deadzone either on your hardware's app settings or in game, to prevent two pedals being used unnecessarily.

07/05/2026
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited, and the majority of the racing skills learned have been displayed across multiple segments. There are some areas where improvements are needed, which will lower your lap times. Firstly, work on refining your cornering techniques. Mastering this will significantly benefit your overall performance. Secondly, there are several instances where your gear choice could be improved. Learning truly comes from driving, analysing, and then driving again until you feel you've reached a plateau, then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you time, as you are not at the right speed to attack the corner. Try applying less brake pressure so you can roll more speed, maintaining a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall. - Example

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track
Extra -
You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example
----------------------

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

You're braking inputs were really good. Well done. In highspeed corners you were using too much brake pressure, which slowed the car down more than necessary. We'll move onto the next assignment now. Good luck and have fun!
Extra - Have a look at your steering inputs. Often, you are turning the wheel too much. Try to reduce your inputs by 20-30 degrees to avoid understeer. Understeer is when the front tyres lose grip before the rear tyres, which results in the car steering less than optimal. This can cause the tyres to wear faster and increase tyre temps (making the tyre too hot), you'll also have to go slower through corners to make it around. - example

We're really sorry for the delay on the update. There has been a mistake on our part and you were given the wrong assignment. We'll revisit the Mastering the Chicane assignment in the future.
Once again, we're very sorry for this mistake, we're sure you'll do great on the correct assignment now!
Extra - We'll be using this example to further analyse your racing line. In segments where you have two corners in the same direction, often times the most important part of the segment is to attack the first corner in a way that gives you a better entry to the second one.
Sometimes, it's best to deliberately miss the first apex to open up the entry into the second corner and to have the car pointing in a better direction to then brake in a straight line. As you can see from the reference lap, that's exactly what happens in this segment.
Experiment some different racing lines through that firs apex to see how each one affects your entry into the second corner and then your lap time.
Good luck!

Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra - Your biggest hurdle at present is lifting off the gas prematurely rather than flooring it to complete throttle. Try refining your trajectory slightly by taking a tighter line into the apex—that'll be a game-changer. Example
----------------------
15/01/2026
Sometimes, you nail the perfect line through a corner—clean, precise, and with a strong exit. But often, there’s untapped potential to hug the apex even closer. Begin by approaching wide at the entry curb, locking in on your apex (whether late or early), and then powering out in a way that naturally uses the track’s full width. With more laps under your belt, this process will start to feel instinctive. Once you’re consistent, you can refine further, making minor adjustments to shave off extra time. Aim for at least 20 laps to truly settle into a rhythm and see meaningful progress.
Extra - To elevate your performance, refine your trail braking technique. Smooth brake application is crucial for keeping the car stable and optimizing grip. Start with a firm initial brake input, then gradually ease off as you turn into the corner, fully releasing by the apex. For example, begin releasing the brake just as you initiate the steering input to maintain balance through the turn. Example

Cheers for the laps! This is good for now, you've clearly got some good braking references, however there are still a few corners were you are a bit late on the brakes. There are some areas that we can make improvements with regards to brake pressure, but we'll look at those in more detail a bit later on.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
