This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.

Bonus Focus Point

You are not turning into the corner quickly enough, causing you to miss hitting the first part of the chicane, and compromises your run for the remainder of the chicane, costing you a considerable amount of time and your exit speed is significantly affected. Try and attack the first part of the chicane harder, so you can position your car better for the next part of the chicane, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall as a result. - Example

This is still an hard area for you and more practice is needed. Slow your speed down a little (you can coast mid corner to gently slow your car) and then ensure that when you accelerate it is smooth without lifting off the throttle at all. When you have mastered this as a slower speed and get the feeling for a continual smooth acceleration then you can move back up to full race pace and try to control your acceleration again.

Extra -

You are too slow coming back on throttle on corner exit, costing you a considerable amount of time as your exit speed is significantly affected. Try and get back onto the throttle earlier so that you can carry a higher exit speed out of the corner, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

----------------------

27/07/2026
Impressively consistent race times, showcasing your dedication and skill. This consistent performance is a crucial asset as you prepare for your upcoming Combination Assessment. Keep up the great work, it's evident that you're on the right track towards achieving your goals.

Extra -

You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try adjusting to a later braking point so you can carry more speed under braking, gaining you more time overall due to this. - Example

----------------------

10/07/2026
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.

Extra -

You are too slow getting back on the throttle on the exit of the corner, costing you a considerable amount of time due to your exit speed being significantly lower than optimal. Try get back onto the throttle quicker so you can accelerate quicker out of the corner, carrying a higher exit speed, and gain more time overall as a result. - Example

You are also braking too late in the same section, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner. Try braking earlier to avoid this, allowing you to hit the apex, maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall. - Example

----------------------

30/06/2026
Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.

Extra -

You are getting back on throttle too late, causing your exit speed to be affected as you are not able to accelerate out the corner as quickly as the reference lap. Try getting back on throttle earlier so you can carry a higher exit speed, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

----------------------

14/06/2026
Not much to fault here, well done. There is still room for improvement with you steering technique and under certain circustances under braking, but we will cover those in more detail in future assignments. This is good enough to pass so we will move onto the next assessment now. Goof luck and have fun!

Extra -

You aren't taking enough speed into fast corners. This is because you are lifting too much/using too much brake pressure. If you can take a bit more speed in without running wide, you'll find a good chunk of time. - example

----------------------

31/05/2026
Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!

Extra -

You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try adjusting to a later braking point to gain more time just by carrying more speed under braking. - Example

----------------------

17/05/2026
A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are one gear off the reference lap, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.

Extra -

You are not braking hard enough, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner. Being in a higher gear also hinders your car's rotation and costs you time as you are running wide. Try braking with more pressure to slow the car more efficiently, and have a look at the reference lap to get an idea of what gear to use for each corner. - Example

----------------------

02/05/2026
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra -

You carried too much speed in the chicane, causing you to have to brake on the exit and costing you time on the exit. Try braking a bit earlier for the chicane to avoid overshooting it, which will also help with getting a better exit speed as you won't have to use the brakes on exit. - Example

----------------------

19/04/2026
This is good enough for a pass, well done. You're tight to the kerb in where needed in most corners. Making sure you're hitting your apexes is an important part of finding time, as if you wide through the corner you are travelling extra distance through the turn and over the course of the lap this can add up. We'll move onto the next assignment now, good luck and have fun!

Extra -

You aren't pressing the brake pedal fast enough which means that you are too fast on corner exit, and it's causing you to run wide. Try to hit the brake pedal as fast as you can when applying the brakes to help the car slow down that little bit more before the corner. If you're finding this difficult, you can try bring the braking point back a few meters however this will be slower than the first option. - example

----------------------

04/04/2026
Sometimes, you nail the perfect line through a corner—clean, precise, and with a strong exit. But often, there’s untapped potential to hug the apex even closer. Begin by approaching wide at the entry curb, locking in on your apex (whether late or early), and then powering out in a way that naturally uses the track’s full width. With more laps under your belt, this process will start to feel instinctive. Once you’re consistent, you can refine further, making minor adjustments to shave off extra time. Aim for at least 20 laps to truly settle into a rhythm and see meaningful progress.

Extra -

Your biggest hurdle at present is lifting off the gas prematurely rather than flooring it to complete throttle. Try refining your trajectory slightly by taking a tighter line into the apex—that'll be a game-changer. Example

----------------------

20/03/2026
Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress.  Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra -

Try to be less erratic with the throttle, smaller motions will help. This is tricky but when you ease off the throttle, you often take the throttle to 20-30% pressure. Try to use smaller movements to avoid slowing the car too much. Example

----------------------

07/03/2026
There were some good segments but unfortunately too many missed braking points. Practice trying to be consistent. This is best done by driving a little slower than your maximum. Remember your braking points and try to repeat for 3 laps in a row, always trying to be within a second and a half of the lap before. Only when you achieve this try going a little faster. Repeat his process for many laps but don't forget to put back to the analysis to make sure you aren't making any big mistakes.

Brake hard and fast, never rest your foot on the brake before committing to the braking point.

Good luck and I'm sure with enough laps and the advice above you'll be passing this driving skill

Extra -

You're having to brake a little bit early, mainly because your power isn't quick enough. Try and apply the braking pedal just that little bit faster. Obviously, you have to control traction, but it is possible.  Also be wary that if you try to get on the throttle too early, this can be detrimental to achieving 100% throttle quickly. It is better to wait just a little bit and then apply the throttle aggressively to get to 100% - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
