We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

We think you should give this assignment one more try. Your apexes and gearing are looking quite good, but your performance is lacking a little brake-wise. Mostly look into braking harder and faster, that way you'll slow the car down more effectively, really aim to get close to 100% brake pressure. The ABS is there to help you. That'll help you also brake later, that's the second thing you need to work on. Improving how you're braking will influence how late you feel you're able to hit the pedal (example).
Keep up the good work and good luck!
Extra -
Braking early also leads you to feel like you're not carrying enough speed at the corner entry and apex. To counter that, you're often accelerating early, which then makes you slower on the corner exit. As you can see in this example, you're accelerating early, that leads you to carry too much speed at the apex, you then need more time to hit full throttle at the exit, costing you time there.
As mentioned above, focus on your braking, but also on trail braking into the corner. Maintaining braking smoothness is key in racing to keeping the car balanced and maximising grip. You should apply the brakes sharply at first, but then release them gradually. Begin easing off the brakes right as you start turning into the corner, and continue this slow release until you hit the apex.

There is some good segments and some bad. The main issue is the braking point and the power of braking. These need looking at again as you struggled to find your braking points. Interestingly your gear choice was very good which was your weakest assessment over the previous sessions. Bringing all these skills together at the same time takes time and effort. Concentrate on one or two tracks and you should have this in the bag. Remember try a few quick sessions to ensure there are no glaring errors when you review your telemetry.
Extra - Even though your apexes were really good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example
----------------------
01/07/2025
There were quite a few errors that need addressing. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were many times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you brake. This was sometimes too slow. Enjoy the high downforce car and trust its stopping power. A bit more practice, especially on your gear choices and you'll be moving onto your next plan.
Extra - Delay getting on the throttle too early, this is causing you to understeer and in turn forcing you to lift off the throttle. Wait a little, then be quicker and smoother with the throttle pedal. Example
----------------------
17/06/2025
Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far.
You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra -
At tempting as it is try to start your acceleration phase a little later and when you get on the throttle do so with more speed and push for 100% throttle quickly. The quicker you get to full speed the better in order to optimise the cars speed on the straights. Always check the top speed in a straight after a corner and see if the Diff to Ref and Speed chart to see what is possible - example
----------------------
03/06/2025
This a bit better and a narrow pass, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.
Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - Work on your throttle control. It is very important to plan your exit (just like your entry). By timing your exit so that you are able to accelerate smoothly but quickly, without any lifts will really help your lap times. Find markers or (as a very general rule!) start accelerating at the end of the apex kerb. Use the wide of the track, trust your car and work on a clean exit - example
----------------------
21/05/2025
There needs to be a little more speed and urgency in your braking. Sometimes you nail it but on too many occasions there is too much hesitancy. You are braking a little earlier than the reference lap and getting to 100% (or the desired) braking later. Try to press the brake pedal quicker whilst doing your best to maintain traction.
Practice is needed but it is a skill that is relatively easy to view and adapt to.

Extra - By braking faster (not necessarily harder) will really help with your consistency, timing and ultimately segment times. Braking too early is denying you the top speeds on the previous straight. Also, be careful that you don't drop into too low a gear this is slowing the car too much - example
----------------------
06/05/2025
A bit of a close pass, but still a pass nonetheless. Well done!
You missed quite a few apexes, sometimes overshooting the corner by carrying too much speed into it. Remember to brake hard (when needed), start wide on the entry kerb, sight your apex (late or early apex) and then, once you pass the apex, accelerate so that you need to use the full width of the track. A little more practice and you'll get that feeling for each corner. At that point more experimentation can be done to tweak for small improvements.
Extra - You need to use all the available brake pressure to maximize the car's braking performance. From your telemetry, it's almost like you have limited your brake pedal to not go over 51%. If that's the case, go over the pedal settings in game and on your PC to recalibrate and set the brake pedal's travel to match the in-game brake pressure.
You need to be able to use all the available braking power in every car, but that's particularly important in cars with ABS. Even though that's not the case in this example, you can see how much later the reference lap is able to brake. Good braking power is not only important for your lap times, but also to be consistent with the braking points and to be in control of the car on the way to the apex.
You'll learn more about this on the next assignment. Good luck and have fun on track!

You're still going wide in too many corners, so this isn't a pass yet. This is mainly related to the way you're braking. Review your braking points and make sure you're carrying the correct speed for each corner. Even if it feels slow, it's always faster to use a good racing line and hit apexes than it is to overshoot a corner an carrying on.
Extra - You need to be more assertive on the brakes, you're often braking early, but not hard enough. Apart from that, you're also releasing the brakes too early and abruptly, this then makes you carry too much speed into the corner and causes some understeer too, reasons for which you're missing apexes.
Keep in mind that you need to brake later, but harder. Try to also carry the brakes further into the corner, maintaining braking smoothness is key in racing to keeping the car balanced and maximising grip. You should apply the brakes sharply at first, but then release them gradually. Begin easing off the brakes right as you start turning into the corner, and continue this slow release until you hit the apex. Here's an example.
----------------------
11/02/2025
There are moments when you nail the apex perfectly, staying tight with a solid line through the corner and a smooth exit. However, there are still too many instances where you're not fully maximizing this, and there's potential to get even tighter on the apex. Remember to begin wide on the entry kerb, focus on your apex (whether it's early or late), and accelerate so that you're using the full width of the track. With a bit more practice, you'll develop a better feel for each corner. Once you’ve got that, you can start fine-tuning for smaller improvements. Aim to get at least 20 more laps in to see noticeable progress.
Extra - One key area to focus on is maintaining higher minimum speeds, which largely comes down to braking later and staying on the throttle longer through corners. This approach will help you reduce the gap in your corner exit performance. For example, a slight delay in braking can make a noticeable difference in carrying momentum through turns. Example
----------------------

Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress. Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - There is a big gap between lifting off and braking in most corners. This is useful if you are trying to save fuel but it won't help your lap times. Consider tightening this up to shave those hundredths. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
