We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can roll more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall just by maintaining a higher minimum speed through the corner. - Example
----------------------
19/06/2026
Try to get wider on entry and exit at the moment you are playing it a little bit safe. Explore whether you can brake whilst slightly touching the kerb, the same with accelerating straight on the exit kerb. Is the braking safe? Try hard to find that extra width it will help you maintain your corner speed.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure and for too long, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed into the corner and gain more time due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example
----------------------

Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed under braking, gaining you more time overall. - Example
----------------------

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited, and the majority of the racing skills learned have been displayed across multiple segments. There are some areas where improvements are needed, which will lower your lap times. Firstly, work on refining your cornering techniques. Mastering this will significantly benefit your overall performance. Secondly, there are several instances where your gear choice could be improved. Learning truly comes from driving, analysing, and then driving again until you feel you've reached a plateau, then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible
Extra -
You are braking at maximum pressure for every corner, causing your apex to be significantly lower than optimal and costing you time as a result. The maximum brake pressure means you are reducing your speed a lot quicker than what it should be. Try applying less pressure so you can carry a higher minimum speed through the corner, and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra -
You are carrying too much apex speed, causing you to run wide and given you a shallower entry for the next corner, forcing you to have to lift as you are on too much of a narrow line to take it flat out, costing you time as a result. Try slow the car more at the apex to avoid running wide, allowing you to open the next corner more to be able to take it flat, gaining you time overall. - Example
----------------------
25/04/2026
A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.
Extra -
You are often a gear too low for the corner, causing your speed to be reduced significantly more than optimal due to the engine braking by downshifting one extra gear. The lower gear means you are not able to carry the ideal speed through the corner as the gear simply is not able to reach that speed, hence why you are about 15 kmh slower when you go one gear lower. Have a look at the reference lap and try practicing taking a higher gear so you can carry more speed through the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example
----------------------
13/04/2026
Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure into corners, causing your speed to be significantly lower than optimal and costing you time. The braking points themselves are great, but try applying less pressure so you can carry a higher minimum speed into the corners and gain more time. - Example
----------------------
28/03/2026
Currently, there are a few mistakes that need to be ammended before we move onto the next assignment. You've clearly taken the advice from last time well and there are good improvements on track, well done. In high speed corners, you are using too much brake pressure and lowing the car down too much. Work on taking more speed into fast corners.
Extra -
Sometimes, at wide tracks in slow cars you don't want to be right to the outside of the track on corner entry as it adds too much distance to the corner. Have at look at turn 1 at Mexico in the MX5 (example) and see how the reference car takes a tighter line into the corner and finds time because of it.
----------------------
15/03/2026
There needs to be a little more speed and urgency in your braking. Sometimes you nail it but on too many occasions there is too much hesitancy. You are braking a little earlier than the reference lap and getting to 100% braking later. Try to press the brake pedal quicker whilst doing your best to maintain traction. Also, try to avoid resting on the brake pedal before fully committing to the braking phase. Practice is needed but it is a skill that is relatively easy to view and adapt to.
Extra -
You're not maximising mid-corner velocity because the car isn't hugging the apex tightly enough. Always aim to use the full track limits—wide entry, precise apex touch, wide exit—wherever the car is settled and under control. Example
----------------------
27/02/2026
Your braking is too inconsistent. Sometimes you are showing good technique and other times your braking strength is not where it needs to be for that particular corner. This leads to other mistakes in your driving. Try to improve your consistency for the next assessment so we can move past this stage.
Extra -
By not aiming for the sharpest possible apex, you're losing precious speed mid-corner. It's crucial to make use of every bit of track space available at the entry, apex, and exit points where your vehicle maintains stability. Example
----------------------
13/02/2026
Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra -
One area to target is improving your minimum speed in corners, which relies heavily on braking later and staying committed to the throttle through the turn. This will tighten the gap in your corner exit performance. For instance, experimenting with a slightly later braking zone can unlock more consistent speed retention. Example
----------------------
30/01/2026
Good job with your braking points. They're good for now. Becareful with your brake pressure as you are using a little too much right now. We'll move onto the next assignment, good luck and have fun!
Extra -
You are trying too apply the throttle too early, then you start to understeer so you lift off, try again, understeer, lift off and then finally get back on power. This costs you loads of time under acceleration and down the straights. Intead, wait a little longer before getting on throttle and you should avoid that understeer you're getting. - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
