Decent use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%. I would like to see you be a bit smoother with this technique as you are still a bit inconsistent.
You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try and brake with less pressure so you can avoid overslowing the car, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. - Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra -
You are too slow getting back on throttle on corner exits, causing your exit speed to be significantly slower than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time. Try and get back on the throttle quicker so you can carry a higher exit speed out of the corner, gaining you more time overall with a quicker acceleration. - Example
----------------------
10/07/2026
This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off. Now focus on speeding this up, but not too much that you need to lift off - find the sweet spot.
Extra -
You are braking too early and with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly quicker than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result, as your speed is too slow for the fast right hander. Try braking with less brake pressure so you can carry more speed through the corner and gain more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Your consistency is ok but there is still room for improvement. After several laps, you often have one that is 5-10 seconds slower than the others which seems to be due to a spin or incident. A good way to practice this is to do a few race (or stint, for endurance races) length runs in your practice or against ai before you enter a race to make sure you can do consistent lap times throughout the event.
Extra - Through some corners, you are taking a later apex to get a better exit. This works sometimes, however on quite a few occasions you lost more time on corner entry than you gained on exit. Experiment with your racing lines approaching corners where you try that to see if you can find time. - example
----------------------
31/05/2026
Your racing lines show that you usually know what you're doing! In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are still a few corners where you are exiting a bit too narrow, which costs you exit speed, but overall you're doing great. This is a good pass, well done and we'll move on to the next assignment!
Extra - The Nordschleife is a very twisty track and you're losing some time in more technical segments form a combination of your throttle and brake inputs, and also from your racing line - Example. In these tighter segments, you're often braking hard for the corners and compensating with the throttle. That can induce some weight shifts in the car that make it more difficult to find grip in these quick changes of direction, which also affects your racing line and then the whole rhythm of the segment. Try instead to be smoother with the brakes and conserve the car's momentum through the section.
As for your racing line, you're often sacrificing exit speed to open up the corner entries, which is often a good choice, but the Nordschleife is special and this doesn't always work. This segment is a good example for that, you're deliberately missing and apex there, but that kind of backfired on the last corner. Go over the reference driver's racing line here and in similar segments. Try something similar on the track, but at the end of the day, it's important to find a good middle ground between this line and one you're comfortable with. Good luck!

Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra - You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time before reaching the corner. Try adjusting to a later braking point so you can gain more time just by carrying more speed under braking. - Example
----------------------
02/05/2026
Nicely driven! You improved in these 4 key areas over the last few weeks. There will always to improvements and adjustments that you can make. It is all about fine tuning those braking points, racing line and throttle application. Your gears look decent but always check back to the telemetry. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - You are braking too late into heavy braking zones, causing you to have to apply much more pressure due to the extra speed. Try braking a bit earlier to avoid overshooting the corner, allowing you to properly reach the apex and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------
19/04/2026
Very close to a pass but there are some improvements that need to be made before we move onto more advanced skills and techniques. Have a look at the advice bellow and give this assignment another go, make sure to compare to the reference lap to see how you can improve.
Extra - You aren't aggressive enough when getting back on power. Have a look at this linked segment (example) and see how the reference lap quickly applies the throttle, while you apply slowly and carefully. This costs you time under acceleration and down the straights. A bit of work here and you'll see several tenths come off your lap times 💪
Have a look at your steering inputs. Often, you are turning the wheel too much. Try to reduce your inputs by 40-50 degrees to avoid understeer. Understeer is when the front tyres lose grip before the rear tyres, which results in the car steering less than optimal. This can cause the tyres to wear faster and increase tyre temps (making the tyre too hot), you'll also have to go slower through corners to make it around.
----------------------
04/04/2026
Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra - In some of the faster corners at Brands Hatch, you are braking too late and with too much pressure, causing you to significantly drop your speed and forcing you into a lower gear than optimal, costing you time. Try adjusting to a slightly earlier braking point for these types of corners so that you can maintain a higher gear and a higher minimum speed and gain more time. - Example
----------------------
20/03/2026
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - Try to be less erratic with the throttle, smaller motions will help. This is tricky but when you ease off the throttle, you often take the throttle to 20-30% pressure. Try to use smaller movements to avoid slowing the car too much. Example
----------------------
07/03/2026
Hi, apologises for the delay. A bit more work is needed here before we progress. Currently, you are slowing the car down too much into corners. Have a look at your data when practice and focus on the braking inputs. In corners where you want a short, sharp brake you are braking for too long with too little pressure. In corners where you want a longer, lighter brake you are using too much pressure for too little time.
Extra - Have a look at your steering inputs. Often, you are turning the wheel too much. Try to reduce your inputs by 20-30 degrees to avoid understeer. Understeer is when the front tyres lose grip before the rear tyres, which results in the car steering less than optimal. This can cause the tyres to wear faster and increase tyre temps (making the tyre too hot), you'll also have to go slower through corners to make it around. - example

Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra - A key area for improvement is your trail braking approach. Ensuring smooth brake modulation helps maintain car balance and maximizes tire grip. Apply strong braking at first, then slowly reduce pressure as you steer into the corner, completing the release at the apex. As an example, start easing off the brakes right at turn-in to carry more controlled speed through the corner. Example
----------------------
08/02/2026
Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress. Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
