There is some good segments and some bad. The main issue is the braking point and the power of braking. These need looking at again as you struggled to find your braking points. Interestingly your gear choice was very good which was your weakest assessment over the previous sessions. Bringing all these skills together at the same time takes time and effort. Concentrate on one or two tracks and you should have this in the bag. Remember try a few quick sessions to ensure there are no glaring errors when you review your telemetry.
Extra -
The line is a touch too conservative through the middle of the corner, costing exit momentum. Get comfortable pushing to the edges of the track on turn-in, clipping the apex closer, and tracking out fully when the car is stable. Example

Overall performance in this assessment did not meet the required standard to progress to the next training plan. There were inconsistencies across the lap that affected your overall pace and control. While some sections showed potential, the combination of skills needs further refinement to reach the necessary consistency. Keep practicing with focused sessions, review your telemetry for patterns, and build toward greater reliability lap after lap. With continued effort, you'll be ready to advance soon.
Extra - The key issue we're seeing is that you're throttling down too soon instead of ramping up to full power. Adjust your racing line just a touch, getting closer to the apex, and you'll notice a real boost in performance. Example

This week the braking points and apex work slipped a bit, so focus on tightening up those two areas before moving on to the next training stage. Once you’ve nailed the braking points and power delivery, you’ll free up more attention for throttle control—and that’s when you’ll see the biggest gains in your times. Pulling all these skills together isn’t easy, but stick with it; the payoff is worth the effort.
Extra - Your biggest hurdle at present is lifting off the gas prematurely rather than flooring it to complete throttle. Try refining your trajectory slightly by taking a tighter line into the apex—that'll be a game-changer. Example
----------------------
14/11/2025
There were some promising moments, but also a few rough patches. The main hiccup was dialling in your braking—both in terms of timing and pressure. You seemed to have a hard time hitting that perfect braking sweet spot consistently. On the flip side, your gear selection really shined, a notable improvement from previous sessions where it was a weak link. Blending all these elements together is no small feat—it takes plenty of practice and patience. My tip? Focus on mastering one or two tracks until the nuances click. And don't forget to squeeze in some quick laps to catch any obvious slip-ups in your telemetry before they turn into bad habits.
Extra - Remember not to forget your previous assessments, you'll need every skill to become a better driver. Apply steady pressure on the brake pedal, gradually decreasing as you approach your turning/apex point. Avoid slamming on the brakes; instead, aim for smooth, controlled deceleration. Practice finding the right balance to stop smoothly without causing discomfort to your passengers. Keep at it! Example

Extra - Right now, the most significant problem is releasing the throttle early rather than pushing it all the way to 100%. Make a minor change to your path by tightening up toward the apex, which should help immensely. Example
----------------------

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra - Here you turn in too late. This means your entry is compromised because you have to use a tighter radius. For corners where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later like this but not here where there is a corner following. Example

Taking a look at some of your laps more recently you have clearly listened to the advice about being in too low a gear from before. However, it is still not enough. Compare your laps to the reference driver and try to match the gearing for each corner. Being in a higher gear might stabilise the rear of the car. Almost there!
Extra - Looks like you are slow on the straights. Improving straight-line speed starts with optimising your vehicle's setup: ensure your aero downforce is not too much, look as suspension alignment, and consider gear ratios that favour acceleration and peaks at the top of top gear. Remember, smooth inputs and maintaining momentum are key to shaving off those crucial tenths of a second. Example

In order to improve, you'll need to do some more dedicated training. The gearing needs to be examined so that you understand that dropping into this lower gear is costing you time on track. At the moment you are doing short quali sessions and races. Try a few hotlap practice sessions as you'll be able to concentrate fully on the issues that you are being presented with. Low gearing is slowing the car, forcing a slower corner and a trickier exit. Work on this task but trying to copy the reference laps gears to better understand the potential of the car.
Extra - This segment highlights the aspects we talked about above. Also looks at how the dab on the brakes as dropped your speed unnecessarily which has forced you to into a lower gear - example
----------------------
02/05/2025
You're losing time in the corners by downshifting too aggressively. You have more speed available if you carry a higher gear. Compare your gear selection to the reference lap and experiment with using a gear higher where you feel comfortable. You should see your sector times improve as you find the right balance.
Extra - Your car's speed through the corner suffers because you're not hugging the apex closely. Remember to leverage the full width of the track right from the entry, through the apex, and as you exit, particularly where your car feels stable. Example
----------------------
18/04/2025
A bit more adjustment is needed here. You frequently shift into a gear that's too low for the corner, which costs you time. Reflect on the gear choices from the reference lap and experiment with maintaining control in those gears. This should help improve your segment times.
Extra - One key area to focus on is maintaining higher minimum speeds, which largely comes down to braking later and staying on the throttle longer through corners. This approach will help you reduce the gap in your corner exit performance. For example, a slight delay in braking can make a noticeable difference in carrying momentum through turns. Example

Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example

22/03/2025
Sorry for the delay on the update.
This is a pass, although it's a bit of a close one. Your speed on the pedal is very good and you can consistently use 100% brake pressure. However, there are a number of corners where you're braking way too hard. Review your laps and see where you can be lighter on the brakes so you can conserve some speed.
Extra - Still about your braking, here's a good example of where you're braking too hard. Your biggest weakness at the moment is sometimes using more brake pressure than necessary. Try to think what type of corner you are entering and how you can optimise by braking differently and tweaking your racing line. Remember that in faster corners you should brake less and for longer to keep the car balanced, avoid understeer and to keep your momentum through the corner.

Extra - You've made good progress, but it's important to address your tendency to brake early. While being cautious is understandable, braking too early can lead to a loss of momentum, affecting your overall lap time. To optimise your performance, try to identify braking points that allow you to carry more speed into the corners. Gradually delay your braking to find the sweet spot where you're slowing down just enough without sacrificing speed. With practice, you'll find the right balance and see noticeable improvements in your lap times. Keep refining your technique—you've got this! Example
----------------------
12/01/2025
There needs to be a little more speed and urgency in your braking. Sometimes you nail it but on too many occasions there is too much hesitancy. You are braking a little earlier than the reference lap and getting to 100% braking later. Try to press the brake pedal quicker whilst doing your best to maintain traction. Also, try to avoid resting on the brake pedal before fully committing to the braking phase. Practice is needed but it is a skill that is relatively easy to view and adapt to.
Extra - Brake harder and faster even on the fast corners, try a quick dab instead of your currently longer ease on and off, test these two styles. Example

Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example
----------------------
30/11/2024
There are moments when you nail the apex perfectly, staying tight with a solid line through the corner and a smooth exit. However, there are still too many instances where you're not fully maximizing this, and there's potential to get even tighter on the apex. Remember to begin wide on the entry kerb, focus on your apex (whether it's early or late), and accelerate so that you're using the full width of the track. With a bit more practice, you'll develop a better feel for each corner. Once you’ve got that, you can start fine-tuning for smaller improvements. Aim to get at least 20 more laps in to see noticeable progress.
Extra - We've observed that you could enhance your trail braking technique. Maintaining braking smoothness is key in racing to keeping the car balanced and maximising grip. You should apply the brakes sharply at first, but then release them gradually. Begin easing off the brakes right as you start turning into the corner, and continue this slow release until you hit the apex. Here's an example:

Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on. Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra - By not aiming for the sharpest possible apex, you're losing precious speed mid-corner. It's crucial to make use of every bit of track space available at the entry, apex, and exit points where your vehicle maintains stability. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
