Steering control requires a fine touch, as even the smallest changes to the wheel angle can influence your car’s performance in terms of speed and acceleration. Analyzing your telemetry data has clearly been a strength of yours, so build on that by tweaking your racing line to create smoother, more fluid movements. With time and dedication, you'll likely see significant progress. Keep pushing forward, we will try this one again!
You are steering too much, which induces understeer as you are scrubbing the front tyres too much, causing it to struggle with rotation. Try apply less steering lock, and steer in line with the corner, allowing you to gain more time overall as it will allow the car to rotate better. - Example

Decent use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%. I would like to see you be a bit smoother with this technique as you are still a bit inconsistent.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed through the corner and gain more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example
----------------------

As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra -
You are too slow getting back on the throttle on exits, costing you a significant amount of time as your exit speed was lower than optimal, which also affects your run into the next corner. Try and get back on the throttle earlier so you can carry a higher exit speed, gaining you more time overall as a result, and giving you a better approach into the following corner. - Example
----------------------
04/07/2026
This is a pass and quite a good one. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure for too long, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can roll more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall just by maintaining a higher minimum speed through the corner. - Example
----------------------
19/06/2026
Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra -
Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example
----------------------
06/06/2026
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra -
You are braking too lightly, causing you to carry too much speed and run deep into the corner, despite braking earlier. This compromises your exit and costs you time as a result. Try applying more brake pressure to slow the car down more efficiently, allowing you to not overshoot the corner, letting you maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------

Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra -
You are braking too hard and for too long, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal in the middle of the chicane and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try applying a bit less pressure and release the brakes a bit quicker, so you can carry more speed into the chicane and gain more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

Please drive a track like Zolder so we can analyse your driving in a multitude of different corner/chicane types. Great driving otherwise. Once we tick this box we will be onto the next one in no time.

Apologies for the delay. We ended up missing your last update due to a bug.
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points and brake pressure. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, braking is often the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.

These long corners at Phillip Island can be particularly tricky to get right. Particularly in segment 6, this first corner needs some care especially due to the elevation changes. Smooth trail braking and steering inputs are essential to avoid understeering at the corner entry due to that first crest. The track then dips, which gives you some extra traction, but can destabilize the car. Use this part of the corner to settle the car on the inside and prepare to accelerate towards the exit.
Driving towards the exit, the track crests again, this time more prominently and it's easy to lose the rear under acceleration here, so be smooth with your steering input, avoid using too much steering angle and be ready to lift off slightly off the throttle in case the car oversteers.
Don't forget to open the entry into the second hairpin and it's pretty starightforward from there!

Great corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - Approaching the final hairpin at the Tsukuba Circuit, you missed the apex on the corner prior to the hairpin, causing you to have to put many braking inputs to avoid going off track, and a lot more steering. Try stay closer to the left hand side of the track on the entry, as it is a flat out corner, you don't need to worry about opening the corner too much, which can cost you time rather than gain you time. This will then put you in a better position for the hairpin, as you will be on the left hand side of the track much earlier, allowing you to have more time and control with opening the hairpin better- Example
----------------------
Extra - In the final corner at St. Petersburg, you were too shallow on the entry of the corner, compromising your run through the corner. Try and position your car more to the left of the track to start the corner, so that you can maintain a higher minimum speed as you roll through the corner, gaining more time. - Example
----------------------
11/03/2026
Your braking is too inconsistent. Sometimes you are showing good technique and other times your braking strength is not where it needs to be for that particular corner. This leads to other mistakes in your driving. Try to improve your consistency for the next assessment so we can move past this stage.
Please drive more road tracks. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment with you only driving ovals. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track!!
Extra - It looks like your steering angle is quite low compared to the reference driver. You might not quite be on the limit of grip - the optimal slip angle. Try to turn the wheel a little more to find the peak grip - but don't go over it. Example
----------------------

Hi, apologise for the delay. You're apexes are looking really good. Well done. Make sure you're maximising the tracks width on exit as sometimes you weren't using as much kerb as you could've.
Extra - Often, you are using too much brake pressure which can activate the ABS and disturb the cars balance through corners. Work on smoother brake inputs (like the reference lap in the linked segment) which will allow for better weight transfer through corners. - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
