Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
You are too slow getting back on throttle on corner exits, costing you a considerable amount of time as your exit speed is significantly affected due to a slower acceleration. Try and get onto the throttle quicker through the corner so you can carry acceleration out of the corner, giving you a higher exit speed and gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track

You are too slow coming back on throttle on corner exit, costing you a considerable amount of time as your exit speed is significantly affected. Try and get back onto the throttle earlier so that you can carry a higher exit speed out of the corner, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra -
There are a few segments where you're being too aggressive with your inputs - steering and braking - Example. This can cause plenty of understeer and also destabilise the car. Practise being smoother, prioritise this over aggressive inputs. In racing, being smooth is faster, even though it can feel slower. Try to brake as little as possible, often times braking earlier and lighter is faster because the car becomes more sable through the corner.

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra -
You are too slow getting back on the throttle on exits, costing you a significant amount of time as your exit speed was lower than optimal, which also affects your run into the next corner. Try and get back on the throttle earlier so you can carry a higher exit speed, gaining you more time overall as a result, and giving you a better approach into the following corner. - Example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra -
You are braking too early and too lightly, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking at a later point and with more pressure, so you can gain more time overall just by carrying more speed under braking and slowing down the extra speed more efficiently. - Example
----------------------

A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are one gear off the reference lap, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.
Extra -
You are braking too hard, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal approaching the corner. You are also too slow getting back on throttle on corner exits, causing your exit speed to be compromised and costing you a significant amount of time as a result. Try applying the throttle quicker as you reach the apex, so you can accelerate quicker as you exit the corner, gaining you more time overall due to carry a higher exit speed. - Example

A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are one gear off the reference lap, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.
Extra -
You are braking for too long, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal, and also compromises your exit speed as you are unable to get back on throttle quickly enough. Try releasing the brakes quicker so you can maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. Have a look at the reference lap here to also see what gear you should be in, as you are either a gear too high or too low in each corner. - Example
----------------------
20/05/2026
Some improvement needs to be made here before we move on. Often your gear choice is off compared to the reference lap. Give this assignment another go and see how you get on.
Extra -
In most places, you are dropping a gear too low through corners which costs you time under acceleration as you lose time having to upshift again. Try experimenting with a higher gear and see what works best. - example
----------------------
07/05/2026
Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.
Extra -
You are braking too hard, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry a higher minimum speed in the downhill section and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------
20/04/2026
Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra -
You are braking too late into the heavy braking zones, causing you to have to apply more brake pressure to avoid going too wide as a result of overshooting the corner slightly. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point so you can brake with less pressure, which will allow you to maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner as you are able to make the apex without overshooting it, gaining you more time. - Example
----------------------
06/04/2026
You're braking points are good, well done. Some improvements could be made to your brake pressure, but we will cover that in more detail soon. This is good enough for a pass so we will move onto the next assignment now. Best of luck and have fun!
Extra -
Often you are turning in too early and/or approaching towards the middle of the track (example). This makes the corner tighter and slower which costs you time. Focus on approaching from the outside of the track and delaying your turn in by a few meters.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
