This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off. Now focus on speeding this up, but not too much that you need to lift off - find the sweet spot.

Bonus Focus Point

We've observed that you could enhance your trail braking technique, as that is currently hindering you to find the right speed at the apex and corner exit.
Maintaining braking smoothness is key in racing to keeping the car balanced and maximising grip. You should apply the brakes sharply at first, but then release them gradually. Begin easing off the brakes right as you start turning into the corner, and continue this slow release as you increase the steering angle until you hit the apex. Here's an example.

This is still an hard area for you and more practice is needed. Slow your speed down a little (you can coast mid corner to gently slow your car) and then ensure that when you accelerate it is smooth without lifting off the throttle at all. When you have mastered this as a slower speed and get the feeling for a continual smooth acceleration then you can move back up to full race pace and try to control your acceleration again.

Extra -

Your biggest hurdle at present is lifting off the gas prematurely rather than flooring it to complete throttle. Try refining your trajectory slightly by taking a tighter line into the apexβ€”that'll be a game-changer. Example

‍

----------------------

08/09/2026
This is unfortunately not a pass, your throttle work is quite good at the exit, but you're often on and off during the remaining sections of the corner. Try to carry the brakes further into the corner and try to avoid using the throttle before the apex. A good method to practise that is letting the car coast for a bit at the apex so you can find the best braking point and the right timing to accelerate out of the corner without having to lift off. Keep up the good work and good luck!

Extra -

Your trail braking can improve, because you're currently losing a bit of speed at the corner entry and compensating with the throttle there - Example. Maintaining braking smoothness is key in racing to keeping the car balanced and maximising grip. You should apply the brakes sharply at first, but then release them gradually. Begin easing off the brakes right as you start turning into the corner, and continue this slow release as you increase the steering angle until you hit the apex.

----------------------

26/08/2026
Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.

Extra -

You are braking too early, and in the middle of the track, causing your speed to drop significantly before the ideal braking zone, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result, as you are too slow approaching the corner in comparison to the reference lap. Try and brake towards the edge of the track and at a later point so you can carry more speed under braking, which will in turn let you carry more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

‍

----------------------

11/08/2026
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.

Extra -

You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and cost you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try and brake with less pressure into the corner, so you can carry more speed into the chicane, gaining you more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.

Extra -

You are braking too early and with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking at a later point with that same amount of pressure so that you can gain more time overall just by carrying more speed under braking. - Example

----------------------

30/06/2026
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited, and the majority of the racing skills learned have been displayed across multiple segments. There are some areas where improvements are needed, which will lower your lap times. Firstly, work on refining your cornering techniques. Mastering this will significantly benefit your overall performance. Secondly, there are several instances where your gear choice could be improved. Learning truly comes from driving, analysing, and then driving again until you feel you've reached a plateau, then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Extra -

Currently, your braking inputs are very spiky and sharp, which end up only slowing you down too much, possibly causing lock-ups at the end of braking zones. Often times, you end up having to compensate with the throttle. In more technical segments like in this example, focus on carrying momentum, driving smoothly to avoid losing too much speed. Modulate the brakes well, trail brake into the corner focus on slowing down for the apexes just the right amount. If you feel like you need to compensate with the throttle, be lighter on the brakes during the next lap, review your telemetry to see how those inputs affect your lap time.
Good luck on track!

Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Extra - Here you turn in too late. This means your entry is compromised because you have to use a tighter radius. For corners where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later like this but not here where there is a corner following. Example

----------------------

27/03/2026
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra - In the final corner at Bahrain International Circuit, you braked too early, significantly reducing your speed before turning into the corner, costing you a lot of time. Try adjusting to a later braking point so you can gain more time by just carrying more speed under braking. - Example

HI, apologise for the delay. Your apexes are looking good. Make sure you maximise the tracks width on entry, as you were often a meter or two too tight when entering the corner. We'll move onto the next skill now. Good luck and have fun!

Extra - You aren't aggressive enough when getting back on power. Have a look at this linked segment (example) and see how the reference lap quickly applies the throttle, while you apply slowly and carefully. This costs you time under acceleration and down the straights. A bit of work here and you'll see several tenths come off your lap times πŸ’ͺ

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed.Β The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.Β  Good luck and have fun on track

13/01/2026
Very nice, your braking points are quite good. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress and braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra - You're trail brking well, but you're often doing it too early and that's making you brake also earlier (example). Try to keep the brake pressure at a constant level for longer until you start turning into the corner. Only then gradually release the brakes like you're already doing.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track πŸ’ͺ

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
