This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
You are braking too early and with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly before the ideal braking zone, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result, as you are too slow approaching the corner in comparison to the reference lap. Try and brake with less pressure and at a later point so you can carry more speed under braking, which will in turn let you carry more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra -
You are too slow coming back on throttle on corner exit, costing you a considerable amount of time as your exit speed is significantly affected. Try and get back onto the throttle earlier so that you can carry a higher exit speed out of the corner, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example
----------------------
27/07/2026
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra -
You are too slow getting back on throttle on corner exits, causing your exit speed to be significantly slower than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time. Try and get back on the throttle quicker so you can carry a higher exit speed out of the corner, gaining you more time overall with a quicker acceleration. - Example
----------------------
16/07/2026
Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure, so you can gain more time overall just by carrying more speed under braking. - Example
----------------------
30/06/2026
You are still losing a lot of time in the chicanes. Braking too late is forcing you deep into the first part of the corner. This has a knock on effect of making you get any mid chicane acceleration. Also the car is facing at the wrong angle for your exit thus exit speed suffers as well. Therefore, brake earlier and see if the rest of the chicane comes together.
Extra -
Trailbraking smoothly blends braking into steering, enhancing control and speed in corners; however, if you find the car understeers or you're exiting too slowly, you might be releasing the brakes too quickly or not balancing weight transfer effectively. Practice refining the pressure release and timing your throttle application for smoother, faster corner exits. Keep trying this one. Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

No assessment.

Please drive a track like Zolder so we can analyse your driving in a multitude of different corner/chicane types. Great driving otherwise. Once we tick this box we will be onto the next one in no time.

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra -
You were a bit slow coming back on throttle on corner exit, causing your speed to be a bit lower than the reference lap and costing you some time. Try and get back on throttle a bit quicker so you can carry a higher exit speed out of the corner and gain more time overall as a result. - Example

Welcome Back!
10/06/2025Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra - Try not to lift off way before you brake, this lag time is time you could still be accelerating, instead you are coasting. Unless you are saving fuel for a race stint there is no real benefit to this strategy - certainly not in lap time. Example
----------------------
27/05/2025
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.
Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - Nice driving, take a look at this segment. As mentioned last time, keep working on your finesse, how much trail braking you are doing, tweaking your racing line as there are small gains to be found there. Also, there are times that you are pushing the gears just a little too much. Try to change up just a little earlier - example

Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apexes. Great job using the whole width of the track. Practice trying to take a slightly later apex and see how this affects your deltas. Also have in the back of your mind the angle / direction of the car as you take the apex. The more it is facing in the direction of the coming straight the quicker you'll be able to effectively get on the throttle.
Your throttle engagement should generally be within two car lengths of your apex.
Extra - There are number of areas to work on from looking at your telemetry. The basics are generally there and just need to be refined a little. At the moment a single corner is straightforward for you but you tend to run into a few problems when attacking complex corners. Be super vigilant in analysing these corners. In the example given you are dropping into too low a gear mainly due to a slight extra dab on the brakes on exit. Trust your lines and trust the amount of kerb you can commit to and you'll be powering out of the corners - example

Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on. Important! You have clearly got good reference markers, even though you were braking slightly early in a couple of segments. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trail braking to improve lap time further. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip. We'll write more about this on the section below.
Up next you'll be working on your apexes. Good luck and have fun on track!
Extra - There are a few places where your trail braking can improve, that often leads to braking early and/or carrying a bit too much speed near the apex from which you then need more time to reach full throttle to avoid going wide, costing you time.
Maintaining braking smoothness is key in racing to keeping the car balanced and maximising grip. You should apply the brakes sharply at first, but then release them gradually. Begin easing off the brakes right as you start turning into the corner and continue this slow release as you increase the steering angle until you hit the apex. Here's an example for you to analyse further.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
