We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track
Extra -
You are braking a bit too early before the braking zone, which causes your speed on entry to be much lower than optimal and costing you time as a result. Try braking at a later point so you can carry more speed into the corner, gaining more time overall. - Example

This is still an hard area for you and more practice is needed. Slow your speed down a little (you can coast mid corner to gently slow your car) and then ensure that when you accelerate it is smooth without lifting off the throttle at all. When you have mastered this as a slower speed and get the feeling for a continual smooth acceleration then you can move back up to full race pace and try to control your acceleration again.
Extra - You are accelerating too early, causing your speed to apex speed to be significantly higher than optimal, forcing you to have to release the throttle several times on exit to avoid running too wide, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try be more patient before going back on throttle to avoid overshooting the corner, allowing you to carry a higher exit speed and gain more time overall with an earlier throttle input on corner exit. - Example

Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra - You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to be reduced more than optimal under braking and costing you time as you are not carrying the same speed entering the corner. Try braking with less pressure so you can roll more speed on corner entry, gaining you time overall. - Example

Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - You are easing off the throttle way too early. You are applying roughly half the throttle instead of full throttle, costing you free time on the straight as you are dropping your speed earlier unnecessarily. Despite the lower speed, you are braking early too, causing you to have to release and apply the brakes several times in the braking zone in order to carry more speed. Try keep full throttle until you have to brake. Then once you brake, keep it at a consistent brake pattern, releasing the brakes as you reach the corner. By braking at a later point, you will be able to carry more speed into the corner already, without having to release the brakes and apply it constantly to carry speed. - Example
----------------------

Your racing lines aren't taking full advantage of the track. Stay wide on the entry, don't drift towards the apex, wait for your turn in point then eyeball the apex and hug the apex kerb and then determine a good exit acceleration point to take advantage of the whole width on the track on exit. You normally manage to get two out of three parts correct. i.e. entry and apex or entry and exit but miss the apex. It is when you manage to hit all three is where you increase the radius of the corner and give the car the chance to carry faster speeds.
Extra - You are braking too late turning too early towards the corner, causing you to have a tighter entry and overshoot the corner as a result and significantly compromising your run on the exit. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point, and look for a later turn in point for the corner entry, in order to avoid overshooting the corner but also to allow you to maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner with an optimal racing line, which will gain you time overall. - Example

Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra - You are sometimes braking too late, causing you to overshoot the corner due to carrying too much speed, compromising your exit speed significantly as a result as you are unable to get back on throttle quickly. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point to avoid overshooting the corner and so you can maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner, gaining you time overall. - Example

Nicely driven! You improved in these 4 key areas over the last few weeks. There will always to improvements and adjustments that you can make. It is all about fine tuning those braking points, racing line and throttle application. Your gears look decent but always check back to the telemetry. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - Your throttle inputs mid corner are inconsistent. Sometimes you are applying too much than optimal, and other times you are applying too little compared to the optimal. Have a look at the reference lap to have an idea of how the throttle pattern should be. Applying full throttle mid corner compromises the next corner as you are carrying too much speed for that next corner. - Example

Overall performance in this assessment did not meet the required standard to progress to the next training plan. There were inconsistencies across the lap that affected your overall pace and control. While some sections showed potential, the combination of skills needs further refinement to reach the necessary consistency. Keep practicing with focused sessions, review your telemetry for patterns, and build toward greater reliability lap after lap. With continued effort, you'll be ready to advance soon.
Extra - There are a few segments where you're turning too early into the corners, that means the car gets pushed out wide earlier, you'll have to delay getting on the throttle and your speed will be slower at the corner exit (example). Finding the right turn-in point is not always easy, but typically you need to point the car towards a good and straighter exit line while also being able to start accelerating close to the apex and quickly make it to full throttle.Checking your telemetry during and after a practice session can also be very helpful to see where you can make alight adjustments to your racing line. Also keep in mind that the turn-in point can vary according to the car's setup and the driver's preferred driving style, but they all should be around the same area. Example

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra - By running slightly wide of the ideal apex, you're giving up cornering speed. Commit to the classic outside-inside-outside line, using the entire track width on entry, apex, and exit in the stable portions of the corner. Example
----------------------
13/02/2026
Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.
Extra - Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example
----------------------
30/01/2026
Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra - The key issue we're seeing is that you're throttling down too soon instead of ramping up to full power. Adjust your racing line just a touch, getting closer to the apex, and you'll notice a real boost in performance. Example
----------------------
17/01/2026
Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress. Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
