Instructor Notes

20/08/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Extra - You are releasing the throttle completely, causing the engine braking to heavily reduce your speed significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try ease off the throttle with a bit of pressure instead of completely, so you can carry more speed into the corner, whilst still decelerating enough to not run too deep into the corner, which will help gain you more time just by carrying more speed. - Example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra - You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed into the corner and gain more time overall just by maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

Extra - You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try adjusting to a later braking point so you carry more speed under braking, gaining you more time as a result just by braking later and carrying more speed. - Example

Another thing to note, you can open the corner more on the entry, so you can carry more speed into the apex. Currently you are a bit away from the outside of the track, causing you to have a shallower entry, meaning you are unable to carry the same speed you could be carrying. By opening the corner more, this will allow you to carry more speed, giving you a higher apex speed, and gaining you more time. - Example

You braking points are good, well done. Make sure you're not pushing the braking points too far and comprimising your corner exits. We'll move onto the next assignment now. Good luck and have fun!

Extra - Often you are applying the throttle too early which pushes you wide on corner exit. Be more patient on the throttle to get a better exit and you should see a good few tenths come off your lap. - example

Your braking points were sometimes really good but there was too much inconsistency. Try driving just a little slower and really learning and nailing those braking points. Also, it would be a idea to continue breaking your sessions up into sets of about 8-12 laps and then referring back to the reference lap in between.

Good luck and you'll be onto the next racing skill.

Extra - The line is a touch too conservative through the middle of the corner, costing exit momentum. Get comfortable pushing to the edges of the track on turn-in, clipping the apex closer, and tracking out fully when the car is stable. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
