We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. π

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra -
To gain an edge, work on holding higher speeds through corners by delaying braking and keeping the throttle engaged longer. This approach will minimize the delta on corner exits, giving you a stronger drive onto the straights. As an example, maintaining steady throttle pressure through the apex can lead to a noticeable boost in exit momentum. Example

Please drive a track that is supported by the Track Titan Platform. There are plenty to choose from but unfortunately the ones you have been driving are not.

Apologies for the slightly premature plan.
Could you please record some more sessions on road racing tracks? We only had about 15 laps on non-oval tracks and we need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - On your session at The Bend - International, it's tempting to go asa fast as possible on segment 4 and use all of the track on the exit. However, that puts your car in a worse position for segment 5. Try not to go all the way to the edge of the track on the exit, leave a bit of room there so you can bring the car back to the right-hand side to open up the corner better on segment 5. Since the GR86 is a slower car and relies a lot on mechanical grip, you have a few racing line choices here, depending on your preference. You can be more conservative and not exit wide at all like this reference driver, you'll have more control over where you position the car on segment 5 and save time here; or you can try a more aggressive approach like this driver, exit wider but you'll need to angle the car towards the right-hand side earlier, you won't gain as much time on segment 5, you'll however save time on segment 4. This approach also has you drive the car more on the limit and requires more precision to get right, so it's easier to lose time this way.
In a race, you can try a middle ground between the two reference drivers, but dedicate some time on your practise sessions to see how each approach works for you and compare your deltas in both segments.
Good luck!

Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.
Extra - You are sometimes applying too much brake pressure in some of the faster corners, causing your speed to be significantly lower than optimal at the apex and costing you a considerable amount of time. Try applying less brake pressure so you can gain time by carrying a higher minimum speed through the corner. - Example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.
Extra - You are often braking with too much pressure into a lot of corners at St Petersburg, causing your speed to be reduced more than optimal, costing you significant time. Try apply less brake pressure so you can carry more speed into the corner, and gain more time just by maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on. Important! You have clearly got good reference markers. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.
Extra - Be careful of how muc brake pressure you apply in fast corners. You applied too much into Turn 1 at Sebring, causing your speed to drop too quickly. Try apply less brake pressure into the corner, so you can maintain a higher minimum speed into corner. - Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track πͺ
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
