Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.  Good luck and have fun on track

A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are one gear off the reference lap, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.

Extra -

You are not braking hard enough, which causes your car to approach the apex with too much speed and slightly overshoot it, costing you time as a result of this. Try braking with more pressure to slow the car down quicker for the corner, gaining you more time overall by not missing the apex. - Example

Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.

Extra -

You are not braking hard enough, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner, costing you a considerable amount of time as your exit speed is significantly affected as a result. Try braking with more pressure so you can slow the car down faster, allowing you to make the corner and hit the apex, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra -

You are too slow getting back on the throttle on the exit of the corner, costing you a considerable amount of time due to your exit speed being significantly lower than optimal. Try get back onto the throttle quicker so you can accelerate quicker out of the corner, carrying a higher exit speed, and gain more time overall as a result. - Example

You're doing really well, although there were a couple of instances where you just missed the mark. No worries though, it happens to the best of us! Something to keep in mind is that sometimes there are segments of the track where you don't need to brake at all. In those instances, simply lifting off the throttle can be enough to help you retain your speed and maintain control. Enjoy your apex work and don't be afraid to test the entry-apex-exit kerbs!

Extra -

You are getting back on throttle too late, causing your exit speed to be affected as you are not able to accelerate out the corner as quickly as the reference lap. Try getting back on throttle earlier so you can carry a higher exit speed, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
