This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off. Now focus on speeding this up, but not too much that you need to lift off - find the sweet spot.
You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop significantly before the ideal braking zone, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result, as you are too slow approaching the corner in comparison to the reference lap. Try and brake at a later point so you can carry more speed under braking, which will in turn let you carry more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

This is unfortunately not yet a pass, you're often accelerating early in the corner and then lifting off before accelerating a final time. Try to let the car coast a bit on the apex to help you find the best place to accelerate out of the corner. When you feel more confident, reduce the amount of time you spend coasting.
Extra -
You are braking too early, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking at a later point so you can carry more speed through the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example
----------------------

Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra -
You are braking too early with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try adjusting to a later braking point so you can carry more speed under braking, gaining you more time overall due to this. - Example
----------------------
16/07/2026
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra -
You are too slow getting back on the throttle on exits, costing you a significant amount of time as your exit speed was lower than optimal, which also affects your run into the next corner. Try and get back on the throttle earlier so you can carry a higher exit speed, gaining you more time overall as a result, and giving you a better approach into the following corner. - Example

There are still improvements needed. Entry kerb - apex kerb - exit kerb as a general rule will show you where you are able to use more track to test getting the car through the corners at a higher speed. Use the kerb, you don't have to heavily ride it, just brush against them to get the feeling of how wide you can go. It is mainly your entry to the corner where you just need to be slightly wider. Take a marker from the car and try and align yourself to the absolute limits of the track width.
Extra -
The line is a touch too conservative through the middle of the corner, costing exit momentum. Get comfortable pushing to the edges of the track on turn-in, clipping the apex closer, and tracking out fully when the car is stable. Example
----------------------
16/06/2026
You've got a solid foundation with your lines, though fine-tuning you could make them even sharper. Braking is on point, but there's potential in the chicanes for better acceleration. Aim for quick spurts of speed where you can, keeping in mind that how you exit these sections defines your success. When possible, consider only partially lifting off the throttle instead of fully disengaging, perhaps by 30-50%. Above all, focus on your exit speed, as it's the key to better lap times.
Extra -
You are braking a bit too hard on the entry to the chicane, causing your speed to drop a bit more than optimal under braking and costing you a significant amount of time as a result. Try braking with a bit less pressure so you can carry more speed into the chicane, gaining you more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra -
You are coming back on throttle too early, causing you to have to delay going back on full throttle on corner exit to avoid running off track, which ends up costing you time rather than gaining you time. Try be more patient before going back on throttle, so that when you are going back on throttle, you can go back to 100% throttle quickly, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

A little more work is needed here before we move onto the next set of skills. Currently, you are running wide in most corners and that's because of your braking technique. Give this assignment another go and see how you get on. Good luck and have fun!
Extra -
In general, you aren't using enough brake pressure into corners which means that you are running wide at the apex and/or on exit. Your braking points are good, but you need to try and get the car slowed down more to reduce understeer and get the car rotated. - example
----------------------

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra -
You are braking too hard, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try applying less brake pressure so you can maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------
20/04/2026
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps, the more the better! 💪
Extra -
You are sometimes braking too late, meaning you have to apply more pressure to avoid running off track as a result of overshooting the corner. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point so you don't have to use extra pressure, allowing you to avoid overshooting the corner and to maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time. - Example
----------------------
06/04/2026
Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apex's. Great job using the whole width of the track. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can slowly tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are nailing the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up!
Extra -
In the fast left and right handers at Road Atlanta, you are lifting off the throttle too much and for too long, causing your speed to be significantly lower than optimal and costing you a lot of time. Try practice some more laps with more throttle input, so you can get a better idea of what the limit of grip in the car is without causing oversteer. Applying some throttle will help you gain time simply by maintaining a higher minimum speed.
----------------------
25/03/2026
Super close to a pass but some more work is needed here! You clearly understand what hitting the apexs means, but you need to make sure you are as close to the inside kerb as possible in every corner (where needed). There were quite a few good sections, but often you were a bit wide at the apex which cost you time. It's important we get this right before moving on.
Extra -
Work on trail braking for longer to find time. This keeps the weight on the front wheels of the kerb during cornering which means that more force can be put through them before they slide. This will help you carry more speed through corners if done correctly. - example
----------------------
10/03/2026
Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on, there is always room for improvement, but you are doing really well.
Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily.
Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra -
As mentioned above, pressure is the most important thing here. Sometimes, when you're driving, you put a little too much pressure at the top end of your brake, which is causing you to slow down just that little bit more than the reference lap. Keep on working on this and find the perfect balance.
Also, in the example given, try to get yourself just that little bit wider on the entry to the corner - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
