Instructor Notes

15/08/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Nicely driven! You improved in these 4 key areas over the last few weeks. There will always to improvements and adjustments that you can make. It is all about fine tuning those braking points, racing line and throttle application. Your gears look decent but always check back to the telemetry. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.

Extra -

You are braking with a bit too much pressure, causing your speed to drop more than optimal and costing you a lot of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed through the corner and gain more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this.
So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!

Extra -

Quite often you're hitting a great braking point, great brake pressure, but then have a very small touch on the throttle before the apex, which gives you just a bit too much speed, enough to make you lose time at the exit and sometimes also miss the apex - Example. Be patient, try to avoid pressing the throttle too early (before the apex) and try to trail brake further into the corner to help you carry some speed on the entry while also slowing down for the apex.

----------------------

Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.

Extra -

You are braking too late, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner, costing you a lot of time as a result. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point, to allow you make the apex without overshooting the corner, gaining you more time overall due to carrying a higher minimum speed. - Example

----------------------

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra -

You are braking too late into the chicane, causing you to carry too much speed and run deep into the chicane, compromising the second part and costing you a considerable amount of time. Try braking at an earlier point to allow you to attack the apex better without running deep, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall. - Example

----------------------

06/06/2026
Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on. Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra -

You are not getting back on throttle hard enough, causing your rate of acceleration to be slower than optimal and costing you a lot of time as a result. Try applying more throttle input mid chicane to have a higher acceleration out of the corner, and gaining you more time overall. - Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track πŸ’ͺ

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
