Instructor Notes

09/07/2026 - 20/08/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

11/06/2026 - 25/06/2026
Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.

Extra - You are braking a bit early, causing your speed to drop earlier than optimal and costs you time as a result of a lower speed before the ideal braking point. Try adjusting to a later braking point so you can gain time as a result of just carrying more speed under braking. - Example

----------------------

13/05/2026
Currently, you aren't applying the throttle fast enough midway through the chicane. This costs you time through the corner and on corner exit (in some chicanes), work on applying the throttle faster. You may want to reduce front downforce or increase the rear downforce if you're finding the car is sliding too much mid corner. Give this assignment another go and see how you get on.

Extra - You aren't taking enough speed into fast corners. This is because you are lifting too much/using too much brake pressure. If you can take a bit more speed in without running wide, you'll find a good chunk of time. - example

----------------------

30/04/2026
Braking points are generally very good however there are some things to work on a little more. The mid chicane throttle work is lacking.  Have confidence to put your foot down mid chicane to squeeze in a little acceleration. It might feel insignificant but there is lots of time to be found here. Plan for your exit as well you are sometimes on and off the throttle with is stopping you getting to 100% throttle quickly.

Extra - You are too slow with getting on throttle, causing your speed to be significantly lower than optimal for the second half of the chicane and on the exit, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try and get on throttle quicker mid chicane so you can carry more speed on the exit and all the way until the next braking zone, gaining you time overall. - Example

----------------------

16/04/2026
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.

Extra - You are sometimes braking too late, causing you to go deep into the corner, and compromising your exit speed, costing you significant time. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point so you can maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time, as well not overshooting the corner. - Example

----------------------

02/04/2026
Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Extra - Sometimes you are braking too lightly in the beginning, and apply the most brake pressure at the end of the braking. This is costing you time more than gaining you time, as you are carrying too much speed into the corner, despite braking earlier, and your exit speed is significantly compromised as a result. Try and apply the most braking pressure at the start of your braking, gradually releasing them as you approach the apex. - Example

----------------------

24/03/2026
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps, the more the better! 💪

Extra - Your minimum speed is a lot lower through the S-Curves, resulting in lost time. Try carry more speed through the corners so that you can gain time overall. Example

----------------------

04/03/2026
Hi, apologies for the delay. Some more work is needed here. Currently, you aren't using enough pressure or applying the brakes fast enough. This means that you have to brake earlier.

Extra - In chicanes and sequences of corners, make sure you aren't compromising you run through the sequence by taking too much speed into the first corner. This can cost you larger amounts of time. - example

----------------------

19/02/2026
Your braking is too inconsistent. Sometimes you are showing good technique and other times your braking strength is not where it needs to be for that particular corner. This leads to other mistakes in your driving. Try to improve your consistency for the next assessment so we can move past this stage.

Extra - You're not maximising mid-corner velocity because the car isn't hugging the apex tightly enough. Always aim to use the full track limits—wide entry, precise apex touch, wide exit—wherever the car is settled and under control. Example

----------------------

04/02/2026
Your braking still lacks consistency. On some laps you're hitting the marks well with good modulation, but in others the pressure is either too light or too heavy for the corner, which then triggers mistakes later in the turn. Work on making your braking more repeatable in the next session—if we can lock that in, we'll be ready to move on to the next phase.

Extra - By running slightly wide of the ideal apex, you're giving up cornering speed. Commit to the classic outside-inside-outside line, using the entire track width on entry, apex, and exit in the stable portions of the corner. Example

----------------------

21/01/2026
There needs to be a little more speed and urgency in your braking. Sometimes you nail it but on too many occasions there is too much hesitancy. You are braking a little earlier than the reference lap and getting to 100% braking later. Try to press the brake pedal quicker whilst doing your best to maintain traction. Also, try to avoid resting on the brake pedal before fully committing to the braking phase. Practice is needed but it is a skill that is relatively easy to view and adapt to.

Extra - Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example

----------------------

07/01/2026
Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.

Extra - Here you go too wde in the first part of the complex. This makes the final right much tighter and means you cannot accelerate out early enough. You lose time from this mistake. Compromise in corner complexes is key to the best overall time. Example

----------------------

24/12/2025
Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress.  Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra - Brake harder and faster even on the fast corners, try a quick dab instead of your currently longer ease on and off, test these two styles. Example

----------------------

11/12/2025
Cheers for the laps. In general you are braking too early in most corners. However, despite this there are times where you still go wide in the corner by being too fast at the apex. This is because you do not always use the full potential of the brakes early on to slow the car when it has the most downforce. Try some more laps and compare yourself to the reference. The braking is the key as all other aspects will branch off this if you get into the right place on corner entry and everything else will improve with it.

Extra - Delay getting on the throttle too early, this is causing you to understeer and in turn forcing you to lift off the throttle. Wait a little, then be quicker and smoother with the throttle pedal. Example

----------------------

26/11/2025
Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

----------------------

20/11/2025
Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
