Instructor Notes

26/08/2026
Overall performance in this assessment did not meet the required standard to progress to the next training plan. There were inconsistencies across the lap that affected your overall pace and control. While some sections showed potential, the combination of skills needs further refinement to reach the necessary consistency. Keep practicing with focused sessions, review your telemetry for patterns, and build toward greater reliability lap after lap. With continued effort, you'll be ready to advance soon.

Bonus Focus Point

You are braking too early and with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly before the ideal braking zone, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result, as you are too slow approaching the corner in comparison to the reference lap. Try and brake at a later point with less pressure so you can carry more speed under braking, which will in turn let you carry more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

In the same section, you are coming back on throttle too early in the corner, causing you to carry too much speed and run wide. Try and be more patient before going back on throttle so you can get back on throttle without having to release it several times, significantly compromising your exit speed.

Previous Instructor Notes

11/08/2026
Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Extra -

You are braking too late, which causes your car to approach the apex with too much speed and overshoot the corner, costing you a lot of time as a result of this. Try braking earlier to slow the car down quicker for the corner, gaining you more time overall by not overshooting it. - Example

‍

----------------------

27/07/2026
A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.

Extra -

You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed into the corner, gaining you more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra -

You are braking a bit too early, causing your speed to drop earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking at a later point so you can gain more time just by carrying more speed under braking. - Example

----------------------

30/06/2026
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra -

You are braking with a lot of pressure mid chicane, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry a higher minimum speed mid-corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

‍

----------------------

14/06/2026
Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on. Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra -

You're often braking too hard in fast corners and end up losing some speed there (example). In fast corners, it's crucial to keep the car balanced. Usually the best way to do that it to brake earlier and a bit lighter. There are less weight transfers that way and you'll be able to find some more grip through the corner.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track πŸ’ͺ

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
