Let's take a look at your laps at Magny Cours in the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992)
At Magny‑Cours, the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) becomes all about braking precision, rear‑engined rotation, and keeping the platform stable through long, technical sequences. Into Adelaide, the car rewards a firm, straight‑line brake hit followed by a clean, patient release — the front needs time to take a set before you lean on the rear traction. Any rush to throttle pushes the car wide and ruins the drive toward Nürburgring. Through the fast left–right of Estoril, the 992 thrives on smooth hands and progressive inputs; keep the weight settled, let the rear work for you, and build speed without forcing rotation.
Across the lap, Magny‑Cours demands discipline and rhythm. The Imola chicane punishes over‑attack — place the car early, stay tidy, and let the rear‑engined balance pull you through the exit. The long, loaded sweepers in the final sector reward patience on entry and a progressive throttle build, because the 992’s rear will rotate beautifully if you don’t overload it. The last corner is all timing: rotate early, keep the platform calm, and drive it out cleanly to maximise straight‑line speed. When you stay smooth, manage weight transfer, and trust the car’s natural rotation, Magny‑Cours becomes a flowing, efficient lap where the 992 GT3 R feels planted, sharp, and consistently repeatable.
You are too slow coming back on throttle when exiting the corner, costing you a lot of time as a result of your exit speed is significantly lower than optimal as you leave the corner. Try get on the throttle quicker so you can accelerate out of the corner faster, letting you carry a higher exit speed and gain more time overall. - Example

It looks like you have really progressed with the throttle over the last few months. This plan encompasses all the aspects of the go faster pedal. It is key to treat this pedal with respect and precision regardless of the power of the car and you now understand the power the throttle has on tuning the car too. Keep at it as there are still times where you are rushing to 100% and others where you are too patient. Practice makes perfect.
Extra -
You are too slow getting back on throttle on the exit, causing your exit speed to be compromised and lower than optimal, costing you time as a result. Try get back on the throttle quicker, so you can carry a higher exit speed and gain more time overall. - Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Your assessment was meant to be Racing Line - Bringing it All Together:
This was a pretty good effort and we are very nearly there. However since this is a bringing it all together challenge the pass threshold is much higher than before. You really need to nail all areas of entry, apex and exit to move on. Particularly try to use more track on the entries and exits.
Extra - The only issue is your entry for the corner. You are starting in the middle of the track and with an early turn in, compromising the amount of speed you can take through the corner and costing you a significant amount of time. Try position the car more towards the outside of the track, and turn in later than you are currently doing, so you can maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner, gaining you time. - Example
----------------------
15/04/2026
A little more work is needed here, you've clearly taken the advice from last time well, however you are getting on the throttle too late now. It looks like you're driving slightly under the limit on exit now, you entry and mid corner was good so now focus on getting on power earlier and we'll be done with this assignment!
Extra - Your braking technique could do with some improvement. In some corners where you need a shorter, shaper brake you and braking for longer with less pressure. In other corners, where you need to brake for longer with less pressure you are braking with more pressure for less time. - example
----------------------
31/03/2026
There’s some fine-tuning to do here. In a few corners, you’re dropping off the throttle too early on exit, which hints that you might be over-braking or not carrying enough momentum through the turn. Work on maintaining a smoother flow by adjusting your braking points and ensuring you're rolling more speed into the corner. This will help you stay on the throttle consistently and make the most of your exit without backing off prematurely.
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. Example
----------------------
17/03/2026
There's some work to do here. There were a few corners where you were on the throttle very early compared to the reference lap. This indicates that you are over-slowing the car on the way into the corner, so try experimenting with your braking again to ensure you are carrying enough speed into the corner. This should allow you to get on the throttle at the correct time.
Extra - You can boost your lap times by honing your trail braking skills. The key is to brake smoothly to keep the car composed and preserve grip. Hit the brakes hard initially, then progressively release them as you begin turning, fully off by the apex. For instance, a gradual brake release starting at the turn-in point can help you maintain stability and grip through the corner. Example
----------------------
04/03/2026
Hi, apologies for the delay. Good job with your braking inputs, they're looking good. Sometimes, a little bit more trail braking was needed to get round the corner. We'll move onto the next assessment now. Good luck and have fun!
Extra - Currently, you aren't maximising the tracks width, often not going to the outside on exit and approaching the corner a meter or so away from the outside kerb. Using the whole track is really important to finding lap time not just over 1 lap, but over a whole race distance. - example
----------------------
17/02/2026
Your steering looks very smooth and you unwind the wheel quickly but in control. This enables you to get on the power faster as the car can straighten up under traction. The car is also more stable and predictable, giving you better control as you power out of the corner. Try to use the reference to compare your steering on turn-in as well to further improve your times. Braking up next
Extra - Even though your apexes were really good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example
----------------------
03/02/2026
Your braking technique is decent; you've got the timing down pretty well. However, there's still work to be done on how you apply the brakes for smoother control. Your understanding of brake bias is adequate, but there's potential to improve how you use it for better cornering. Keep working on these details.
Extra - You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example

Your turn in point was decent there was no drifting towards the corner apex before you fully commit to the turn in. This turn in point determines the speed at which you enter a corner. Turning in too early or too late can result in either scrubbing off too much speed or carrying too much speed into the corner, making it difficult to maintain control of the vehicle. You handle this well and not surprisingly your corner segment times are generally good.
Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example

Very good improvement, well done! There's not much that went wrong here, you did miss an apex, but we analysed a race session, so we'll consider that there might have been another car on the inside of the corner. Apart from that, there are a few smaller things that you can still look into like pushing the track limits a bit further (although you did well for a race session) and be quicker to reach full throttle on a couple of segments. We'll dive a bit deeper into it below.
We noticed that your logger isn't on the latest version and this might be affecting your sessions that are being recorded. This article explains how to upgrade to the latest version, if the system hasn't managed to automatically upgrade you.

Please ensure you also delete the folders that are indicated in the article.
Extra - So, being quicker to hit full throttle will also need some work throughout the rest of the corner and not only the corner exit. Racing line is something you can improve in a few segments, looking at this example you turned too early into the corner, something that happened in a few segments, but the consequences here were slightly more severe. Try to really push the track limits on the corner entry whenever you can and experiment with different turn-in points (although for you, you should generally turn-in later). This will certainly help you smooth out your corner exit.
NOTE: Notice that the reference lap had a little moment on the exit and lifted off the throttle. Take that into account and try to find a middle ground between their input and yours. Accelerate just slightly later, but do it in a swift and smooth motion.
----------------------
04/03/2025
The primary challenge lies in the fact that each segment presents several issues that need to be tackled. Often, the choice of racing line was suboptimal, making it tough to position yourself for a strong exit. Additionally, the high number of invalid laps indicates you might be pushing a bit too hard. It would be wiser to slightly reduce your speed to ensure race readiness. While having one outstanding hotlap is impressive, achieving 20 laps of fast, consistent driving is what will clinch more victories. This consistency will also enhance your adaptability from one segment to another, or even within a single corner. You'll gain a deeper understanding of your car, enabling you to make small, confident adjustments that will ultimately lower your lap times. Remember, smart training leads to great results.

Extra - Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example
----------------------
19/02/2025
It is not uncommon for the third combination assessment to take a while. The main issues are that each segment has a couple of problems that need addressing. Racing line choice was often out and thus setting yourself up for a good exit was at times extremely hard. A lot of invalid laps as well is a sign that you are trying to push yourself just that little bit too much. It is better to drop your pace just a little to get yourself race ready. One exceptional hotlap is great but 20 laps of fast consistent lapping will win you more races. You'll also find that when you have that consistency you'll be able to adapt better from one segment to the next or even within a corner. You'll understand your car better and be able to make micro adjustments with a confidence that brings down your lap times. Train smart and good things will come.

Extra - One key area to focus on is maintaining higher minimum speeds, which largely comes down to braking later and staying on the throttle longer through corners. This approach will help you reduce the gap in your corner exit performance. For example, a slight delay in braking can make a noticeable difference in carrying momentum through turns. Example
----------------------
04/02/2025
Well done, you have successfully completed your setup work. Your dedication, hard work, and hopefully new understanding of setups have allowed you to pass this milestone. Your grasp of testing different setups in sim racing demonstrates your commitment to improving your skills. Congratulations on your achievement and good luck for your next Combination Assessment.

Extra - Your car's speed through the corner suffers because you're not hugging the apex closely. Remember to leverage the full width of the track right from the entry, through the apex, and as you exit, particularly where your car feels stable. Example
----------------------
21/01/2025
This is an irregular assessment but it does help to set a foundation of driving and analysing, please follow the criteria outlines below to advance to your next training plan.
Pass Criteria:
1. A minimum of 5 sessions on the same track
2. Each session a minimum of 5 laps
3. Analysis of at least 50 segments
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link:
https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger
Extra - Avoid hitting the brake pedal multiple times in one braking zone. Ideally you want to hit it firmly to begin with and then ease off as things slow down. Hitting it more than once suggests you broke too early. Example
----------------------

This is an irregular assessment but it does help to set a foundation of driving and analysing, please follow the criteria outlines below to advance to your next training plan.
Pass Criteria:
1. A minimum of 5 sessions on the same track
2. Each session a minimum of 5 laps
3. Analysis of at least 50 segments
Extra - You are giving up mid-corner speed by not taking a tight enough apex. Make sure to use every inch of track available on corner entry, apex and exit where the car is stable. Example
----------------------
24/12/2024
A bit of a close pass, but still a pass nonetheless, well done! You're often getting to 100% throttle quickly, but are still sometimes too early and have to lift off or take a bit too long to get to full throttle. Getting the acceleration just right is not an easy process and takes some time, so keep practicing!
Extra - You're sometimes too early on the throttle in corners where you need a bit more patience like this one. This is then giving you too much speed on the exit and then a sub-optimal racing line for the next corner.
Try to be more patient on the throttle and try to reach a good minimum speed by only using the brakes. You can even let the car coast slightly before fully committing on your first tries.
----------------------
10/12/2024
Your technique has notably advanced, particularly in how fluidly you navigate through most of the course. Remember, this particular plan is notorious for technicality, so caution is key. By keeping your steering, braking, and acceleration smooth, you'll better manage the car's balance. Additionally, maximizing the track's width could further reduce your lap times.
Extra - Let's address your throttle timing. If you're hitting that gas pedal too late, you're missing out on optimal acceleration and forcing yourself to play catch-up. Aim to apply throttle promptly after braking to maintain a smooth and consistent pace. Don't leave it too late; find that balance for a smoother ride. Example
----------------------
26/11/2024
Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track
Extra - The biggest thing you could work on is carrying minimum speed, mostly through braking later and not lifting off as much through corners. This is giving you a big delta in corner exits. Example
----------------------
13/11/2024
Good use of trail braking, you appear to be understanding what you need to have a good technique. By releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%. I would like to see you be a bit smoother with this technique as you are still a bit inconsistent.
Extra - You're sometimes carrying to much speed at the mid-corner phase (near the apex) either due to accelerating too early or lack of trail braking. This then makes you slower on the exit since you need more time to reach full throttle to avoid going wide. Be patient, try to avoid pressing the throttle too early in the corner (before the apex) and try to carry the brakes a bit further into the corner to help you carry some speed on the corner entry while also slowing down for the apex.
Here's a good example for you to take a look at.
----------------------
30/10/2024
You still need to improve a bit, you're sometimes holding the brakes for too long and then releasing them quickly, other times you release the brakes too early, but then drag the braking for too long. Trailbraking smoothly blends braking into steering, enhancing control and speed in corners; however, if you find the car understeers or you're exiting too slowly, you might be releasing the brakes too quickly or not balancing weight transfer effectively. Practice refining the pressure release and timing your throttle application for smoother, faster corner exits. Keep trying this one.
Extra - You're turning too early into quite a few corners (example), try to make the corner as wide as possible to be able to carry more speed through it. To do that, you need to stay right on the edge of the track on the approach to the corner, stay wide until you reach a good turn-in point, then aim for the apex and avoid letting the car turn slightly towards the corner before the turn-in point.
----------------------
15/10/2024
As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra - You are giving up mid-corner speed by not taking a tight enough apex. Make sure to use every inch of track available on corner entry, apex and exit where the car is stable. Example
----------------------
01/10/2024
This is a pass and quite a good one. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link: https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger
Extra - The goal is to make the corner as wide as possible to be able to carry more speed through it. To do that, you need to stay right on the edge of the track on the approach to the corner, stay wide until you reach a good turn-in point, then aim for the apex. On the exit the goal is usually the same: start accelerating near the apex and aim to go as wide as you can without going over the track limits. Don't be afraid to try to get on the kerbs, you can gain a lot of time by using them! Example
----------------------
17/09/2024
Impressively consistent race times, showcasing your dedication and skill. This consistent performance is a crucial asset as you prepare for your upcoming Combination Assessment. Keep up the great work, it's evident that you're on the right track towards achieving your goals.
Example
----------------------
03/09/2024
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - You get back on the throttle before you have properly apexed this turn. You can see the result of this is that you get pushed wide and understeer on exit. Try your best to wait until the car is rotated around the apex and you are starting to unwind the wheel before getting back on power. Example
----------------------
20/08/2024
Very similar to the previous assessment. You need to get wider on the entry of the corner and try to turn the wheel just a little less on exit so that you are using more of the exit width as well. Generally your apexes are good, tight and consistent. The advantage of using the width on exit is that the car will be travelling in a straighter line as a crucial phase of the corner, the acceleration. The more the tyres are pointing straight when you are hammering the throttle, the more of the grip and thus the traction of the car is used to propel the car forward instead of fighting to stay on track. Longitudinal forces are pushing you further down the track, laternal forces are pulling the car and its mass sideways.
Extra - Look back at your sessions and you'll often find there are key corners were you struggle more on than others. It might just be a couple of tenths by they do add up over a race. In this example you are trying to get on the throttle too early, better to wait just a little then go for it. Also as mentioned above exploit those track limits to your advantage - example
----------------------
06/08/2024
Your racing lines aren't taking full advantage of the track. Stay wide on the entry, don't drift towards the apex, wait for your turn in point then eyeball the apex and hug the apex kerb and then determine a good exit acceleration point to take advantage of the whole width on the track on exit. You normally manage to get two out of three parts correct. i.e. entry and apex or entry and exit but miss the apex. It is when you manage to hit all three is where you increase the radius of the corner and give the car the chance to carry faster speeds.
Extra - You are driving well at the moment and in the example here, your main issue is that your steering angle is scrubbing too much speed off. By taking a wider entry and using more of the width on the exit you'll be able to straighten your wheel earlier and this will improve your minimum corner speed - example
----------------------
23/07/2024
Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is looking good too. Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra - There were a couple of instances where you could have used more track on the corner entry. This will help you carry more speed into the corner and have a better line through it, which then saves time on the exit. The goal is to make the corner as wide as possible, so get as close as you can to the edge of the track.
Here's a good example for you to take a look at.
----------------------
09/07/2024
Nicely driven! You improved in these 4 key areas over the last few weeks. There will always to improvements and adjustments that you can make. It is all about fine tuning those braking points, racing line and throttle application. Your gears look decent but always check back to the telemetry. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - In this chicane you could have braked later and then got back on throttle earlier. Also on the third apex you are missing out a little bit of track width. Try to eek out in every department on this example. Chicanes are a great way to master all skills.
----------------------
25/06/2024
Excellent corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - You go for a wide line into this corner, brake quite hard but do not really gain the time back on the corner exit. I would co for a tighter and faster entry and try to carry the speed through. Example
----------------------
11/06/2024
Overall a good assessment, well done! Your speed on the pedal was very good and you were consistently hit 100% brake pressure. Be careful on fast corners since you were often braking too hard and ended up losing too much speed. In those situations, it's better to brake a bit earlier, but lighter to keep the car balanced and the grip levels high.
Extra - You can often use more track, mainly on the approach to corners. The goal is to make the corner as wide as possible to be able to carry more speed through it.
Here's a good example for you to take a look at.
----------------------
28/05/2024
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.
Extra - You're often holding the brakes at full pressure for a bit too long and then quickly releasing them. What this is doing is initially slowing you down too much, then as you release the brakes you're not slowing down anymore while still approaching the corner. This will make you carry too much speed at the apex, which in turn slows you down on the exit. Try to hold start releasing the brakes a bit earlier and gradually lift off until you reach the apex. You should be completely off the brakes by then.
Here's a good example for you to take a look at.
----------------------
14/05/2024
Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on most of the time. Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily.
Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - Work on your gearing. You tend to drop into one gear too low on quite a few corners and generally into first. This often isn't the optimal gear and following the reference lap more would be key to slightly faster lap times. Check out the Diff to Ref and this corresponds very well with where you are losing time on your gear choice - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
