You are most of the way there with braking but I am seeing a few areas we could improve. Since this is about bringing all the areas into one assessment I would like to see you try this again. Focus particularly on your braking point and the way you trailbrake. Try to also hit the brakes only once in key braking zones. You are almost there, lets just get this right before moving on.
Extra -
You are braking too early, and release them too early, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner, costing you a considerable amount of time. Try adjusting to a later braking point, and hold the brakes for longer, so you can slow down the extra speed carried more efficiently, which will gain you more time overall as a result. - Example
----------------------
28/05/2026
Your steering looks very smooth and you unwind the wheel quickly but in control. This enables you to get on the power faster as the car can straighten up under traction. The car is also more stable and predictable, giving you better control as you power out of the corner. Try to use the reference to compare your steering on turn-in as well to further improve your times. Braking up next
Extra - You are too slow getting back on full throttle, causing your exit speed to be compromised and costs you a lot of time down the straight as a result of this. Try get back on throttle quicker so you can carry a higher exit speed, gaining you time not just by a higher exit speed, but the extra speed carried down the straight. - Example
----------------------
13/05/2026
You're really nailing your braking technique! It's great to see how well you're using the brakes, not just in terms of when to brake but also how you're applying them. This kind of skill helps a lot with keeping the car stable and hitting the perfect lines through corners. Your understanding and use of brake bias is spot on, enhancing your control and performance on the track. Keep it up! Your attention to detail with braking is making a big difference.
Extra - You are coming back on full throttle too early, which results in you having to apply the brake to avoid running off track, which compromises your exit speed and costs you some time. Try gradually come back onto throttle instead of going straight back onto full throttle, so you can increase your speed without having too much speed to be unable to make the corner, allowing you to avoid needed a braking input, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example
----------------------
15/04/2026
Your turn in point was extremely good, there was no drifting towards the corner apex before you fully commit to the turn in. This turn in point determines the speed at which you enter a corner. Turning in too early or too late can result in either scrubbing off too much speed or carrying too much speed into the corner, making it difficult to maintain control of the vehicle. You handle this very well and not surprisingly your corner segment times are generally very good.
Extra - You are applying too much pressure on the brakes, which causes your speed to be lower than optimal and costing you significant time. Try braking with less pressure so you can maintain a higher minimum speed through the corners and gain more time. - Example
----------------------
31/03/2026
Impressive driving. Your consistency, knowledge of the track and overall racing technique is looking strong. Obviously this is reflected in the lap times. Congratulations. All good drivers will take the time to examine their telemetry. When you are drive so well, sometimes it is hard to see exactly the mistakes that are taking place on track. Just the knowledge that sometime wasn't perfect is keeping you grinding out the laps. This is great and instils needed muscle memory however, we'd advise getting dirty in the telemetry a bit more. Find common issues, or weak corners so when you are next on track you can hone in on needed areas. Train smart and train hard! Good luck.
Extra - Focus on smoothness with your braking inputs. Aim for gentle, progressive application of the brake pedal rather than abrupt or harsh stomps. Smooth braking helps the car settle, maintains better tire grip, and allows you to carry more speed deeper into corners without upsetting the balance. Example
----------------------
17/03/2026
Some more work is needed here before we move on. Currently, you are lifting off the throttle too early and braking too much which means you are too slow through the corner. Your steering inputs are good, but more work is need with your throttle and braking technique. Give this assessment another go and see how you get on.
Extra - Sometimes, it's better to brake a bit earlier with less pressure, but for longer. This allows for better weight transfer and avoids unsettling the car. There were a few corners like this but you were braking heavily and quickly. You found a bit of time under braking but lost time in the corner. Try to copy the reference laps brake shape for a bit and see how you get on. - example
----------------------
04/03/2026
Well done, you have successfully completed your setup work. I hope you managed to get a little better understanding of how the car changes when you change your setup. Testing different setups in sim racing demonstrates your commitment to improving your skills. Congratulations on your achievement and good luck for your next Combination Assessment.
Extra - Couple areas just to keep an eye on. Always go back and check your lowest gear choice, as you can see from the Diff to Ref chart, it is exactly at the point where you drop into first gear, where you're losing all your time. You're getting some good laps in at the moment, and just these small tweaks will really help. Also, work on your smoothness of braking input. You fluctuate a fair amount. Not a massive problem, but anything that could potentially destabilise the car can affect your grip - example
----------------------
17/02/2026
Your consistency of reaching 100% throttle as quickly as the reference lap was very good. You have mastered a technique here that many drivers find hard. Keep working through the items on the Previous Plans list that you struggle with most and you'll be knocking even more time off your laps.
Extra - To elevate your lap times, prioritize sustaining higher speeds through corners. This means braking later and easing off the throttle less during turns. These adjustments will shrink the time lost on corner exits. As an example, a more aggressive throttle application mid-corner can help you carry more speed onto the straights. Example
----------------------
03/02/2026
Another hard assignment but use the information and the practice that you have been doing for the last few months and apply this on track. Be patient and then accelerate quickly. You need to be questioning whether your line was correct, if you rotated the car enough, is your wheel movement not too exaggerated. Work hard on these areas and refer back to the telemetry data after each session to find the flaws in your corners. You are often trying to get on the gas just that little bit too early.
Extra - Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example
----------------------
20/01/2026
When you steer your car, you are essentially changing its direction by altering the angle of the wheels. However, if you turn the wheels too much, the car will experience understeer. This means that the car's front wheels lose grip and traction, causing it to slow down and become less responsive to your steering inputs. So, while it may seem tempting to turn your steering wheel as much as possible to take a turn, it is actually more efficient to find the sweet spot where the car maintains its grip and speed. By mastering the balance between steering and maintaining traction, you'll be able to navigate the track with ease and speed. During this week you've managed this very well with only a couple of times that you've been scrubbing the tyres, so very well done.
Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example
----------------------
06/01/2026
Decent use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%. I would like to see you be a bit smoother with this technique as you are still a bit inconsistent.
Extra - One area to target is improving your minimum speed in corners, which relies heavily on braking later and staying committed to the throttle through the turn. This will tighten the gap in your corner exit performance. For instance, experimenting with a slightly later braking zone can unlock more consistent speed retention. Example
----------------------
23/12/2025
This is a hard skill to develop but it is very useful for understanding the weight distribution of your car. Also, as the plan states it gives a slightly extended time at top speed on the straights. Practice hard and try to feel how the car reacts as you slowly release the brake. Remember, as a guide to gauge finishing releasing the brake as you reach near the apex.
Extra - Here you turn in too late. This means your entry is compromised because you have to use a tighter radius. For corners where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later like this but not here where there is a corner following. Example
----------------------
09/12/2025
Could you please drive more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to get a read of how you are doing, even if you are not driving as part of a specific plan. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - Currently, the main challenge is your tendency to back off the throttle instead of committing to full 100% acceleration. A small adjustment to your line, hugging the apex more closely, will greatly improve this. Example
----------------------
25/11/2025
As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra - Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example
----------------------

Extra - You're sacrificing potential speed in the middle of turns by not cutting the apex as sharply as possible. Maximise the track's width on entry, at the apex, and on exit when the car is under control and stable. Example
----------------------
28/10/2025
Please do more laps. You need between 30 to 50 to really see how you're doing. Our trainers are here to help whenever. Good luck and have fun out there!
----------------------
15/10/2025
Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - You've made good progress, but it's important to address your tendency to brake early. While being cautious is understandable, braking too early can lead to a loss of momentum, affecting your overall lap time. To optimise your performance, try to identify braking points that allow you to carry more speed into the corners. Gradually delay your braking to find the sweet spot where you're slowing down just enough without sacrificing speed. With practice, you'll find the right balance and see noticeable improvements in your lap times. Keep refining your technique—you've got this! Example
----------------------
01/10/2025
There were quite a few errors that need addressing. With this second combination assessment we are now looking at eight different factors that make up your driving prowess. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you brake. Most importantly though we were on and off the brake far too much. It is so important to analyse your sessions. Without this analysis you'll always be second guessing how you are performing on track. The top drivers will be looking for small errors and keep of testing changes to the lines and braking technique to see if they can save time on a corner.
Extra - Even though your apexes were really good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example
----------------------
16/09/2025
This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off. Now focus on speeding this up, but not too much that you need to lift off - find the sweet spot.
Extra - Here you go too wide in the first part of the complex. This makes the final right much tighter and means you cannot accelerate out early enough. You lose time from this mistake. Compromise in corner complexes is key to the best overall time. Example
----------------------
03/09/2025
Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra - To gain an edge, work on holding higher speeds through corners by delaying braking and keeping the throttle engaged longer. This approach will minimize the delta on corner exits, giving you a stronger drive onto the straights. As an example, maintaining steady throttle pressure through the apex can lead to a noticeable boost in exit momentum. Example
----------------------
19/08/2025
There are some good times, however also too many invalid laps. I appreciate that this is inevitable when training but it is worth really focusing on this technique as nailing lap after lap without invalid laps is critical in a race situation. It can be the difference between a drive through or not. Slow you driving down a little and really concentrate on the consistency with valid laps. A racing drivers main skill has to be able to achieve similar lap times lap after lap. Drop your speed 10% and achieve these valid laps to move on with your training.
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. Example
----------------------
05/08/2025
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - Looks like you are slow on the straights. Improving straight-line speed starts with optimising your vehicle's setup: ensure your aero downforce is not too much, look as suspension alignment, and consider gear ratios that favour acceleration and peaks at the top of top gear. Remember, smooth inputs and maintaining momentum are key to shaving off those crucial tenths of a second. Example
----------------------
22/07/2025
Your racing lines aren't taking full advantage of the track. Stay wide on the entry, don't drift towards the apex, wait for your turn in point then eyeball the apex and hug the apex kerb and then determine a good exit acceleration point to take advantage of the whole width on the track on exit. You normally manage to get two out of three parts correct. i.e. entry and apex or entry and exit but miss the apex. It is when you manage to hit all three is where you increase the radius of the corner and give the car the chance to carry faster speeds.
Example
----------------------
08/07/2025
Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
----------------------
24/06/2025
Good control through the chicane. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Just work on your braking power as you are still a little heavy (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra - You sometimes try to push 2nd and 3rd gears a little too much, try changing up just a little earlier. Also, I'm sure you know, if you'd hugged this apex there was a good chance that you'd have not had to lift on exit, this was costly - example
----------------------
10/06/2025
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example
----------------------
27/05/2025
Good corner gear choices most of the time, this does however seem dependent on the car you are driving. The key is experimentation, if you are off pace, check the gearing as it is an easy area to experiment. Lower gears can sometimes make it more difficult to accelerate out of a corner but it is a balancing act, as a higher gear might not give you the power. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far.
You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - At the moment, there isn't one area you are doing particularly wrong. You now need to concentrate on consistency of brake, throttle and racing line through each and every corner. Sometimes you are slightly off with the brakes, another time you are a little hesitant on the gas. Check out this segment as there are clues that there are number of small things that you should try to tweak on each corner - example
----------------------
13/05/2025
A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well. At the moment the gear choice is most likely a necessity as you are currently slowing the car down too much on the corner hence the gear choice. Work on your braking power, especially on corners that require less that full brake pressure.
Extra - As mentioned, a combination of braking power and resulting gear is your main weakness at the moment. Try to visualise how much braking you are committing to on each corner before entering the corner. A small adjustment is all that is needed to avoid slowing the car too much. This obviously will put the car more on the limit which you'll have to control in order to safely navigate the corner - example
----------------------
29/04/2025
Very nice, you're often quick and effective on the brake pedal. There are a number of segments where you can either brake harder of faster, but you did an overall good job!
Beware of how much you're braking in fast corners, it's almost always better to brake earlier and lighter to keep the car balanced and a smoother ride. You were also sometimes using the brakes when you didn't need to, a quick check back at the reference lap will help you in situations where you can't decide if you should only lift off the throttle or also use the brakes.
Also, try to avoid pumping the brakes, that can unsettle the car. Instead invest in consistency and smoothness on the brake pressure.
Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - In tight and twisty segments like this one, try to keep the car going as straight as possible, use the kerbs (watch out for track limits of course) and you'll be able to avoid using the brakes if not needed or any unnecessary drag from turning the car. Also, be as smooth as possible with your steering inputs to avoid scrubbing the tyres or big changes to the racing line that might compromise your speed through the segment.
---------------------
01/04/2025
Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on most of the time. Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily.
Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
We noticed that your logger isn't on the latest version and this might be affecting your sessions that are being recorded. This article explains how to upgrade to the latest version, if the system hasn't managed to automatically upgrade you.

Please ensure you also delete the folders that are indicated in the article.
Extra - Great driving you are performing well on track, laps are up and times are looking good. One big win for you would be a deep analysis of a session to see where obvious mistakes are happening. A good example of this is in this segment where you lift unnecessarily. When you study this you'll see that small improvements to your racing line will afford you the luxury of a 'pedal to the floor' segment and, as a result save you between 0.1 and 0.2s - example

25/03/2025
Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
