Nice stuff. With all you have learnt in the last few months you are beginning to master the braking game. We looked at timing, pressure, speed and trailbraking and you have really progressed in all these areas. As always there is no such thing as perfect so keep working at it because you can always improve. Keep looking at the telemetry to get clues.
Extra -
You are applying too much brake pressure in the two Lesmos at Monza, causing your apex speed to be significantly lower than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time. Try applying less pressure through these sections, so you can maintain a higher minimum speed at the apex and gain more time overall. - Example

Apologies for the delay. Your braking strategy is promising, but a few refinements could elevate your overall performance. For this comprehensive assessment, it's important that every element works in harmony, so I encourage you to revisit your braking approach. Your timing and force at the braking points are impressive; however, consider experimenting with a more controlled and gradual release of brake pressure as you transition into the turn. This adjustment might help you maintain better balance and flow through the corner. With these tweaks, you'll be well on your way to a flawless performance. Keep pushing—you're very close to mastering it!
Extra -
The main issue currently is the early braking with a lot of brake pressure, especially into fast speed corners. In Turn 7 at Portimao, you are braking too early with a lot of pressure, which significantly reduces your speed more than optimal and costing you a lot of time before the heavier braking zone of Turn 8. Try adjusting to a later braking point, and apply less brake pressure, so you can trailbrake through the corner, maintaining a higher minimum speed as a result and gaining more time. - Example
----------------------
10/03/2026
Apologises for the delay. Your throttle inputs are really good, well done. I saw that you were getting to 100% throttle much faster than the refernece lap, maybe try to reduce the cars traction control to help accelerate faster. We'll move onto the next skill now. Good luck and have fun!
Extra -
Have a look at your steering inputs. Often, you are turning the wheel too much. Try to reduce your inputs by 20-30 degrees to avoid understeer. Understeer is when the front tyres lose grip before the rear tyres, which results in the car steering less than optimal. This can cause the tyres to wear faster and increase tyre temps (making the tyre too hot), you'll also have to go slower through corners to make it around. - example
----------------------
23/02/2026
Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra -
You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example
----------------------
10/02/2026
Your braking technique is decent; you've got the timing down pretty well. However, there's still work to be done on how you apply the brakes for smoother control. Your understanding of brake bias is adequate, but there's potential to improve how you use it for better cornering. Keep working on these details.
Extra -
You're not maximising mid-corner velocity because the car isn't hugging the apex tightly enough. Always aim to use the full track limits—wide entry, precise apex touch, wide exit—wherever the car is settled and under control. Example
----------------------
26/01/2026
There are general braking errors here. It is very important to push the boundaries of brake pedal, as you improve it is this one of the best ways to find a tenth or two on track. The brakes need force and finesse at the same time. It is all about nailing that braking point and then smoothly transitioning into the apex. You are a little bit too inconsistent on the pedal. Keep trying.
Extra -
Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example
----------------------
12/01/2026
Your turn in point was extremely good, there was no drifting towards the corner apex before you fully commit to the turn in. This turn in point determines the speed at which you enter a corner. Turning in too early or too late can result in either scrubbing off too much speed or carrying too much speed into the corner, making it difficult to maintain control of the vehicle. You handle this very well and not surprisingly your corner segment times are generally very good.
Extra -
Your next step is to focus on increasing cornering momentum, particularly by pushing your braking points closer to the turn and maintaining throttle input longer. This will directly improve your exit speeds and reduce lap time deficits. For example, a smoother transition from braking to throttle can help you maintain flow through the corner. Example

Impressive driving. Your consistency, knowledge of the track and overall racing technique is looking strong. Obviously this is reflected in the lap times. Congratulations. All good drivers will take the time to examine their telemetry. When you are drive so well, sometimes it is hard to see exactly the mistakes that are taking place on track. Just the knowledge that sometime wasn't perfect is keeping you grinding out the laps. This is great and instils needed muscle memory however, we'd advise getting dirty in the telemetry a bit more. Find common issues, or weak corners so when you are next on track you can hone in on needed areas. Train smart and train hard! Good luck.
Extra -
You're sacrificing potential speed in the middle of turns by not cutting the apex as sharply as possible. Maximise the track's width on entry, at the apex, and on exit when the car is under control and stable. Example
----------------------
01/12/2025
It is not uncommon for the third combination assessment to take a while. The main issues are that each segment has a couple of problems that need addressing. Racing line choice was often out and thus setting yourself up for a good exit was at times extremely hard. A lot of invalid laps as well is a sign that you are trying to push yourself just that little bit too much. It is better to drop your pace just a little to get yourself race ready. One exceptional hotlap is great but 20 laps of fast consistent lapping will win you more races. You'll also find that when you have that consistency you'll be able to adapt better from one segment to the next or even within a corner. You'll understand your car better and be able to make micro adjustments with a confidence that brings down your lap times. Train smart and good things will come.
Extra - By not aiming for the sharpest possible apex, you're losing precious speed mid-corner. It's crucial to make use of every bit of track space available at the entry, apex, and exit points where your vehicle maintains stability. Example

The primary challenge lies in the fact that each segment presents several issues that need to be tackled. Often, the choice of racing line was suboptimal, making it tough to position yourself for a strong exit. Additionally, the high number of invalid laps indicates you might be pushing a bit too hard. It would be wiser to slightly reduce your speed to ensure race readiness. While having one outstanding hotlap is impressive, achieving 20 laps of fast, consistent driving is what will clinch more victories. This consistency will also enhance your adaptability from one segment to another, or even within a single corner. You'll gain a deeper understanding of your car, enabling you to make small, confident adjustments that will ultimately lower your lap times. Remember, smart training leads to great results.
Extra - Watch out for your gear choice here. Dropping down has had a strong impact on your minimum speed and causing you to struggle to get back up to speed. Not a bad move but it is a balance of slowing down the car too much with the gamble of using that extra power to push through with a net overall positive effect. It just misses this in my opinion and allows room for experimentation of usign 3rd instead - example
----------------------
10/06/2025
Well done, you have successfully completed your setup work. Your dedication, hard work, and hopefully new understanding of setups have allowed you to pass this milestone. Your grasp of testing different setups in sim racing demonstrates your commitment to improving your skills. Congratulations on your achievement and good luck for your next Combination Assessment.
Extra - Work on improving your trail braking to enhance car control. Smoothly transitioning from heavy braking to a gentle release is essential for balance and grip. Apply sharp braking at the start, then ease off steadily as you turn into the corner, reaching zero brake pressure at the apex. For example, begin lifting off the brakes as you initiate steering to keep the car settled and grippy. Example

This is an irregular assessment but it does help to set a foundation of driving and analysing, please follow the criteria outlines below to advance to your next training plan.
Pass Criteria:
1. A minimum of 5 sessions on the same track
2. Each session a minimum of 5 laps
3. Analysis of at least 50 segments
Extra - One key area to focus on is maintaining higher minimum speeds, which largely comes down to braking later and staying on the throttle longer through corners. This approach will help you reduce the gap in your corner exit performance. For example, a slight delay in braking can make a noticeable difference in carrying momentum through turns. Example
----------------------

This is an irregular assessment but it does help to set a foundation of driving and analysing, please follow the criteria outlines below to advance to your next training plan.
Pass Criteria:
1. A minimum of 5 sessions on the same track
2. Each session a minimum of 5 laps
3. Analysis of at least 50 segments
Extra - You're often trail braking well, but there are some segments where you're releasing the brakes too early, then you end up carrying a bit too much speed into the corner and lose time on the exit (example). Try to think of a braking zone in two phases: first you slow down the car at max brake pressure and then you trail brake into the corner. Try to spend a little more time slowing the car down at max brakes and trail brake just a bit later. This will also need to match your turn-in point in case you have an earlier or later apex, so try different timings each lap and see which one is faster and feels better.
----------------------
05/05/2025
Your consistency of reaching 100% throttle as quickly as the reference lap was quite good. You are getting the hang of a technique here that many drivers find hard. You're often very smooth on the throttle, but there is sometimes still room for a faster application so keep working on it. Go through the items on the Previous Plans list that you struggle with most and you'll be knocking even more time off your laps.
Keep up the good work!
Extra - You're usually turning too early into the tighter corners like hairpins for instance. Taking a look at this example, you can see how that tighter entry (with a bit too much speed to help) made you go wide early on the exit, losing time there. Experiment with different turn-in points for these tighter corners, but go through the telemetry first to try to get an idea of how much earlier you need to turn into the corners.
Good luck and have fun on track!

Sorry for the delay on the update.
This is a really good assignment, you're very smooth with the steering wheel and almost never used too much steering angle. Remember, this particular plan is notorious for technicality, so caution is key. By keeping your steering, braking, and acceleration smooth, you'll better manage the car's balance. Additionally, maximizing the track's width could further reduce your lap times.
Great job and let's move on to the next assignment!
Extra - You're often carrying too much speed at the mid-corner phase (near the apex), this then makes you slower on the exit since you need more time to reach full throttle to avoid going wide. This is often happening when you brake earlier and try to compensate by accelerating earlier, like in this segment. Be patient, try to avoid pressing the throttle too early in the corner (before the apex) and try to trail brake further into the corner to help you carry some speed on the corner entry while also slowing down for the apex. Use the given example to practice braking progressively later and reaching the desired minimum speed only via trail braking without the influence of the throttle.

Decent use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%. I would like to see you be a bit smoother with this technique as you are still a bit inconsistent.

As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link:

There were quite a few errors that need addressing. With this second combination assessment we are now looking at eight different factors that make up your driving prowess. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you brake. Most importantly though we were on and off the brake far too much. It is so important to analyse your sessions. Without this analysis you'll always be second guessing how you are performing on track. The top drivers will be looking for small errors and keep of testing changes to the lines and braking technique to see if they can save time on a corner.
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link:
https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger
Extra - You've made good progress, but it's important to address your tendency to brake early. While being cautious is understandable, braking too early can lead to a loss of momentum, affecting your overall lap time. To optimise your performance, try to identify braking points that allow you to carry more speed into the corners. Gradually delay your braking to find the sweet spot where you're slowing down just enough without sacrificing speed. With practice, you'll find the right balance and see noticeable improvements in your lap times. Keep refining your technique—you've got this! Example
----------------------
13/01/2025
This is a pass and quite a good one. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link:
https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger
Extra - Even though your apexes were really good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example

Extra - From your short session, we noticed you can improve your trail braking a bit more. Releasing the brakes is a slow and smooth process, try to carry the brakes a bit further into the corner, start releasing the pedal at around the turn-in point and do it in a gradual motion until you reach the apex.- Example.

Impressively consistent race times, showcasing your dedication and skill. This consistent performance is a crucial asset as you prepare for your upcoming Combination Assessment. Keep up the great work, it's evident that you're on the right track towards achieving your goals.
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link: https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger
Extra - The goal is to make the corner as wide as possible to be able to carry more speed through it. To do that, you need to stay right on the edge of the track on the approach to the corner, stay wide until you reach a good turn-in point, then aim for the apex. On the exit the goal is usually the same: start accelerating near the apex and aim to go as wide as you can without going over the track limits. Don't be afraid to try to get on the kerbs, you can gain a lot of time by using them! Example
----------------------
05/11/2024
Please do more laps. You need between 30 to 50 to really see how you're doing. Our trainers are here to help whenever. Good luck and have fun out there!
----------------------
21/10/2024
Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - You are giving up mid-corner speed by not taking a tight enough apex. This delays when you can get back on throttle. Make sure to use every inch of track available on corner entry, apex and exit where the car is stable. Example
----------------------

Try to get wider on entry and exit at the moment you are playing it a little bit safe. Explore whether you can brake whilst slightly touching the kerb, the same with accelerating straight on the exit kerb. Is the braking safe? Try hard to find that extra width it will help you maintain your corner speed.
Extra - We've noticed that your trail braking can improve. In racing, being smooth is important to keep the car balanced and the grip levels high. While the first attack on the brakes is supposed to be very quick, releasing the brakes is a slow and smooth process. Try to start releasing the brakes at around the turn-in point and do it in a gradual motion until you reach the apex. Example

Extra - Try to get the apex on the first part of this chicane. By going wide of the kerb on the first part you make the second part tighter. This is why you were unable to get on the power as soon as the reference driver. Nail the racing line and then work on pedal inputs. Example

The lines are good (there is still room to get tighter though) and your braking points are good. Your mid chicane acceleration is ok, in some chicanes you'll be able to get a bit more out of this section, use that short period to get a short burst of speed but remember the final exit is all important. Try not to come completely off the throttle when not necessary, sometimes you'll be able to just release the throttle 30-50% instead. Also, remember it is your exit speed that is of the most importance, concentrate on this.

Please drive in a circuit with a few more chicanes, please. Although Paul Ricard and Silverstone kind of have chicanes, they were not enough to make a good assessment. Zolder and Hungaroring are a couple of examples of tracks with a nice variety of corners.
Extra - You're sometimes braking very hard in places where you only need a smaller tap on the brakes. This will not only slow you down too much, but heavy braking like that in a fast corner can greatly reduce your grip.
Here's an example for you to analyse.

Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - We noticed you might be running an older version of the Track Titan logger. Please follow this link if you need help running the update.

You're often carrying a bit too much speed on the first part of the chicane and, although you're not going wide, you're not making good use of the mid-chicane acceleration. Try to carry the brakes a bit further into the corner and avoid pressing the throttle too early (do it only on/after the apex).
Extra -
You're often turning your steering wheel too much and it is heavily impacting the grip on your front tyres. Turning the wheels too much will cause them to slide and will induce a lot of understeer. Try to keep your inputs at a minimum and take a good look at the reference lap to see how much you can reduce your steering input (the new Advanced Layout can be helpful in the more delicate movements, but the original layout will help you have a better insight on your steering input)

There are still some things that you can improve, but your chicanes are looking good. Another try at this assignment and you should pass easily.
Work a bit on your racing line. It is good, but you still have room to get tighter to the apex and cut the chicane a bit more. This will also help you improve the mid-chicane acceleration. Good luck!
Extra - You are still hitting the throttle a bit too early and it's causing you to carry too much speed near the apex. This has a domino effect because then you can't get to full throttle as quickly and end up losing time on the exit. Work hard on the timing near the apex, let the car coast a bit if you need to, so you can feel better when you should accelerate. Here's a good example for you to analyse.

The fundamental skills that you are learning at the moment have been very good, you have taken a lot on board. The main thing you could improve on at this point is making sure you are taking the ideal racing line, not doing this is affecting your lap times. Remember to watch the reference lap and keep in mind what racing line is taken.
Extra - Taking the same racing line as the reference lap will help you with your throttle input as well. There were one or two segments where you got on the throttle very early, which wouldn't normally be a problem, but you were only at around 30% throttle for a while, and you got to 100% later than the reference lap, losing you time on the exit. Example

Sorry for the late update.
Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - You are often holding the brakes for too long and end up slowing down too much for some corners. Your trail braking is looking nice, so just try to start releasing the brakes a bit earlier and release them quicker in some cases - example.

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - There were quite a few situations where you could have used a bit more track, mainly on corner exit. The goal is to make the corner as wide as possible, so you can carry more speed through it, so on the braking zone/corner entry, you need to be as close to the edge of the track as possible. Then, aim for the apex kerb and finally, go all the way to the edge again on the exit (unless you need to sacrifice some exit speed due to a consecutive corner).
Here's an example for you to take into account.

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.
Extra - We noticed there were a few times that you were pressing the throttle a bit too early and it's costing you some times on the corner exit. Try to be a bit more patient on the exit and if you feel the need, let the car coast a bit on the apex during your practice sessions to figure out where the best place to accelerate is. Then, as you get more comfortable, reduce the time you spend coasting.
Here's an example for you to take into account.

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

You're doing really well, although there were a couple of instances where you just missed the mark. No worries though, it happens to the best of us! Something to keep in mind is that sometimes there are segments of the track where you don't need to brake at all. In those instances, simply lifting off the throttle can be enough to help you retain your speed and maintain control.Enjoy your apex work and don't be afraid to test the entry-apex-exit kerbs!
Extra - You can, in a few situations, be a bit faster on the brakes and also brake harder. Since you're driving GT3 cars, you can rely on the ABS to brake really hard without worrying about locking the wheels. When you reach your braking point, really stomp on the brake to slow the car as effectively as possible.
Here's an example for you to take a look at.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors (it could be the next day aswell), your score for the assigned task and your progress.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
