We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Could you please drive more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to get a read of how you are doing, even if you are not driving as part of a specific plan. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Please do more laps. You need between 30 to 50 to really see how you're doing. Our trainers are here to help whenever. Good luck and have fun out there!

There's some work to do here. There were a few corners where you were on the throttle very early compared to the reference lap. This indicates that you are over-slowing the car on the way into the corner, so try experimenting with your braking again to ensure you are carrying enough speed into the corner. This should allow you to get on the throttle at the correct time. Please drive longer sessions. Aim for at least 10 laps per session to get a proper review, otherwise we cannot see your best efforts.
Extra - There is a big gap between lifting off and braking in most corners. This is useful if you are trying to save fuel but it won't help your lap times. Consider tightening this up to shave those hundredths. Example
----------------------
30/06/2025
This is overall a good pass, well done! Even though there are a couple of segments where you can use more track or slightly adjust your racing line, you did well in most of your laps and show good knowledge and skill. We'll address a couple of examples below.
Great job and we'll have an assignment on acceleration up next.
Extra -
Looking at sections like segments 5 and 6 at Spa, with two or more corners in a quick succession, a good racing line often needs some compromise, but you need to find a good balance too. Sacrificing exit speed from a corner will give you better track position for the next one, but if you focus too much on where you want to place the car, you might end up sacrificing too much speed and lose time. The opposite is also possible, focusing more on speed and less on track position might also cost you time as you'll lose speed at the exit from the whole segment.
Sometimes this all comes down to driving style and how the car is setup. Although the racing line will me mostly the same for everyone, explore carrying more speed between the corners or opening up the last corner more and see how each line affects your delta in that segment.
Keep up the good work and good luck!

Nice stuff. With all you have learnt in the last few months you are beginning to master the braking game. We looked at timing, pressure, speed and trailbraking and you have really progressed in all these areas. As always there is no such thing as perfect so keep working at it because you can always improve. Keep looking at the telemetry to get clues.

Extra - Here you turn in too early. This means your exit is compromised because you have to delay the throttle to get around the tightening radius. For corners like this where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later and getting on the throttle early by straightening the wheel sooner. Example
----------------------

Your braking strategy is promising, but a few refinements could elevate your overall performance. For this comprehensive assessment, it's important that every element works in harmony, so I encourage you to revisit your braking approach. Your timing and force at the braking points are impressive; however, consider experimenting with a more controlled and gradual release of brake pressure as you transition into the turn. This adjustment might help you maintain better balance and flow through the corner. With these tweaks, you'll be well on your way to a flawless performance. Keep pushing—you're very close to mastering it!

Extra - Your throttle work needs to be smoother and a little faster. Sometimes as you approach the apex you are already on the throttle, this can be too early and causing you to hesitate, try a few laps were you wait for the apex then really go for the acceleration. Example
----------------------

You are most of the way there with braking but I am seeing a few areas we could improve. Since this is about bringing all the areas into one assessment I would like to see you try this again. Focus particularly on your braking point and the way you trailbrake. Try to also hit the brakes only once in key braking zones. You are almost there, lets just get this right before moving on.
Extra - We've observed that you could enhance your trail braking technique. Maintaining braking smoothness is key in racing to keeping the car balanced and maximising grip. You should apply the brakes sharply at first, but then release them gradually. Begin easing off the brakes right as you start turning into the corner, and continue this slow release until you hit the apex. Here's an example:
----------------------
08/04/2025
Since we had a delay on your update in the last turnover day, we'll give you some more time to record some more laps and practice the new skills. Keep up the good work and we're looking forward to analyse your sessions!
Extra - Again, you're still often using 100% brake pressure when you don't need to (example) and you're also not trail braking. These two things, apart from being essential to pass the next assignment, go hand in hand to make sure the car slows down properly and has grip on the corner entry. Taking a better look at this segment, you did well by hitting the 100% brake pressure mark, you did brake slightly too late, but that shouldn't have been enough to miss the apex like that. Look at how the reference lap gradually releases the brake pedal and how with much less brake pressure compared to you, they managed to slow the car down effectively.
By holding the brakes at full pressure, after braking late in a tight corner like that, as soon as you start turning you'll over load the tyres and you won't be able to steer the car properly. Releasing the brake earlier and gradually will help you distribute the load on the tyres and slow the car down effectively into the corner.
If you need to, re-read the B3 - Braking - Taming the Trail assignment.

Welcome back!
Sorry for the delay on the update.
Your steering looks very smooth and you unwind the wheel quickly but in control. This enables you to get on the power faster as the car can straighten up under traction. The car is also more stable and predictable, giving you better control as you power out of the corner. Try to use the reference to compare your steering on turn-in as well to further improve your times. Braking is up next, good luck!
Extra - You're often over-braking and using 100% brake pressure when you should be lighter on the brakes - Example. Apart from obviously slowing down too much, braking like that will cause large weight shifts in the car which can overload the tyres and reduce their grip.
You should prioritize smoothness over sharp inputs, try to think how much you need to slow down and the type of corner you're approaching and adjust your brake pressure accordingly. Save the full brake pressure for heavier braking zones after longer straights, whenever you have a shorter braking zone or a faster corner expect using less brake pressure. If you need to, give the B2 - Braking - Power and Speed assignment another read.
We also noticed that your logger isn't on the latest version and this might be affecting your sessions that are being recorded. This article explains how to upgrade to the latest version, if the system hasn't managed to automatically upgrade you.

Extra - In this high-speed section you lift off fully and brake a fair bit. Ideally you only lift to a part throttle state so you can maintain stability. This is because changes in acceleration or deceleration can load the tyres unevenly. Example
