Improve race technique and lower lap times.
A good session. Interesting development from your previous plans. You are driving more aggressively which is great to see and now highlights other areas we can concentrate on.
Combine your understanding of which gear you should be using and consciously applying the gas so that you don't have to 'back off' at all. Take these two disciplines and attack the track. It is important to really have a clear image in your head before you approach the corner as to how you will tackle it.

Being too early on the throttle is a contradictory mistake. You want to get the full gas quickly but not at the expense of possible wheel spin or having to come off the gas.
Not a large mistake at only 16% of your errors through this training session.
This can be seen in segment 6. Remember on these fast corners you don't need to brake so hard.
Each time that there a lift or dab, it indicates a lack of smoothness. Very hard to achieve perfection but any time that you have a change that is more than 10% pressure or a long hover needs to be looked at. Be patient, getting on the gas later will prove to be faster.

Gear choice is the understanding of which gear can be used in the corner to maximise control and most importantly speed of the car. Drop into too low a gear and the car could slow to match the gear ration, too high a gear and your acceleration won't be optimal.
Gearing errors is 18% of your total errors.
Segment 6 shows how you are using 5th gear while the the reference lap doesn't drop below 6th.
The easiest and quickest way to improve gearing mistakes is to copy the reference lap. Put all your thoughts aside as to whether it sounds wrong or feels strange. Start by just copying the lowest gear in a segment.

Full throttle is where the speed is. As long as you have control, the general aim is to get to full throttle as quickly as possible.
Late to full throttle is a common mistake with F1, as there is a fear of spinning the car. With over 21% of your mistakes here. Practise is important.
Segment 8 is a good example of how you apply your throttle. Here you lose over a quarter of a second by being a little too early on the exit and as well as braking too much.
Take a moment to watch one of our videos that emphasises the need to get to full throttle quickly. Think smooth but fast, on / off the throttle will nearly always be slower than quick and smooth.
