Lee King-Magee - Race Plan No. 1

Conclusion

Very well driven. Try to use trailbraking to rotate the car in the corners. You will be able to carry much better speed into the corner by doing this.

Set Up Advice

Monza naturally favours low downforce, low ride height, and hard suspension. You need to make sure you can still change direction, so keeping the anti roll bars high is also important.

Segment 1

☐ This section is driven entirely flat, nothing to comment on.

Segment 2 - "Prima Variante"

☐ In the first corner you are doing well on the brakes. The issue here is that you are off them to quick. Use trailbraking to rotate in the corner. You are also a little too late on the throttle.

Segment 3 - "Cuva Biassono"

☐ This section is flat. All good.

Segment 4 - "Seconda Variante"

☐ You shifted really quick in to second gear. The Aston has bad acceleration in the slow speed corners so do not shift up to quickly.

Segment 5 - "1 Curva di Lesmo"

☐ Nicely done.

Segment 6 - "2 Curva Lesmo"

☐ You are doing really well here overall but try to get on the throttle a lot earlier since you have a long straight afterwards. The exit is very important here.

Segment 7 - "Curva del Serraglio"

☐ No need to shift down to second. Keep it in third here.

Segment 8 - "Variante Ascari"

☐ All good.

Segment 9

☐ This section is flat out and straight, nothing to comment on.

Segment 10 - "Curva Parabolica"

☐ Nicely driven.
