Batu Küçükçetin - Race Plan No.1

Conclusion

A very impressive lap overall, however with a small tendency to delay the acceleration slightly. This could inhibit the speed achievable during Austria's many long straights.

Set Up Advice

Naturally, Austria is a very high speed circuit with hard braking zones. There are also sections of long flowing corners, so having the ideal blend of suspension and aero is ideal for a fast lap. Usually this means that aero can stay low while suspension stays relatively soft to allow for grip during the slower and longer corners.

Segment 1 - "Niki Lauda Kurve"

☐ Your line throughout the corner is excellent, matching the reference lap down to a few inches. Your braking comes fractionally early though, and it means that you're actually off throttle for slightly longer. You also seem to be fractionally slower to get on throttle again. Besides these minor changes, this corner is driven very well.

Segment 2

☐ This section is flat and driven very well.

Segment 3 - "Remus"

☐ This section is driven very well.

Segment 4

☐ This section is flat and driven well.

Segment 5 - "Schlossgold"

☐ Your line and braking is very good. The only improvement I can suggest is to be slightly more confident under acceleration, as there seems to be a moment of hesitation before going full throttle.

Segment 6 - "Rauch"

☐ Your line is again very good, however you don't pick up the throttle quite as soon as the reference lap. This means that you don't use as much of the outside kerb and don't have as much speed. Just work on bringing the acceleration slightly earlier in the corner.

Segment 7 - "Würth"

☐ This section is very well driven, but again there is a slight moment of hesitation when accelerating. Try to get on the throttle slightly earlier to really extend the acceleration zone.

Segment 8 - "Rindt"

☐ Again, your line is very good, but I see that you come off the throttle much earlier than the reference lap and brake for a much shorter time. Try to leave your lifting as late as you can, and compensate by dragging the brakes for slightly longer. This will mean that you can spend more time accelerating, but you're still able to hit your minimum speed on time.

Segment 9 - "Red Bull Mobile"

☐ Very well driven, but there is again a slight delay in your acceleration meaning that you don't use the full width of the road.
