Instructor Notes

01/01/2026 - 19/06/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra - You're quite often pointing the car slightly towards the apex before fully committing to the corner. That's tightening your entry line, reducing your corner speed in the process (example).
(In most corners) try to brake in as much of a straight line as possible, not only to widen your corner entry, increasing your speed there, but also because you can extract the maximum performance from the brakes when you do it in a straight line, which helps you brake later.

Very nice, your braking points are looking quite good, you have clearly got good reference markers! There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.

Extra - You're sometimes accelerating just a bit before the apex and that's enough to make you carry too much speed there (example). This then causes you to delay your acceleration at the exit, or lift off there and lose time that way.
Really try to avoid using the throttle before the apex, instead try to slowly release the brakes as you turn into the corner to help you brake later while slowing down enough for the apex.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
