A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.

Extra -Your braking profile is a little off but you are driving well. Using more width on the track will knock off 0.5s from your laps - example

Very similar to a few weeks ago. One most segments there are one or two of the techniques that is slipping. It isn't always the brakes nor the apex but they interchange. This is exactly why we have the combination assessments here. Work hard, practice and review your telemetry often and you'll get all four of these techniques balanced and controlled on the majority of your corners.

Extra - As mentioned above on this corner here are gearing errors and your braking strength is lacking. Review the plans again and concentrate on these four areas for the next period - example

Please drive a different track on Assetto Corsa. The size of the Nordschleife isn't great to analyse

We have found that users are getting better results when they move to the fortnightly training instead of the weekly training. All new users that sign up to the Premium membership are doing this and if you'd like to as well just drop keith@tracktitan.io a quick note and he'll make a note of it.

Without the Kunos combos, there are only a few areas that we can assess you on. Drive more of these sessions with reference laps and we'll be able to appraise you better.
‍

Extra - Get wider on the entry into most of your corners, this extra width will really help you smooth out the corner and allow for a higher top speed - example

‍

There were quite a few errors that need addressing. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were many times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally a little early, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you break. The braking was sometimes too slow.

Enjoy the high downforce car and trust its stopping power. A bit more practice, especially on your braking and you'll be moving onto your next plan.

Extra - Try to concentrate on only a few cars and tracks. Obviously drive where you want but have a couple of key cars / tracks that you will use for your training. This is the best and more efficient way to understand the balance of the car, traction of the tyres and generally feel of car on track. At the moment it is important to get these first four skills under your belt so that we can more onto other areas - example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you did pretty well. Sometimes you were a gear too high. It is worth keeping an eye on this because you might find a little time matching the reference laps gear choice.

So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
‍

Extra - Watch out for the apexes, this is an easy route through the corner but it definitely isn't the fastest. Entry-apex-exit as a rule to get the most out of the track. Then, and only then start tweaking this - example

----------------------

‍09/06/2023
Please drive some Kunos combinations so that a good analysis can be done on your sessions. Find a couple of Kunos car / track combos that you really enjoy as this will be the easiest and quickest way to improve your driving skills.
‍

Extra - There is more width on the track that can be used, start wide, brushing the kerb, eye the apex and the use the full exit to accelerate out of the corner - example

----------------------

02/06/2023
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.

Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra - Notice how you are earlier off the throttle and later on the throttle. Work on quick feet and a controlled fast acceleration to 100% throttle - example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra - Try to explore other tracks that are shorter in distance to make it easier for yourself to compare and improve faster.----------------------

12/05/2023
There are times when you hit the apex perfectly, nice and tight with a good line out of the corner. However, there are too many times when you are not pushing this enough and there is still room to get tighter on the apex. Remember start wide on the entry kerb, sight your apex (late or early apex) and then accelerate so that you need to use the full width of the track. A little more practice and your get that feeling for each corner. At that point more experimentation can be done to tweak for small improvements. Try to a different track to the Nordschleife to start to see improvements as you will find it easier to replicate corners.

Extra - Try to focus on braking harder and later. - example

‍

You're doing really well, although there were a couple of instances where you just missed the mark. No worries though, it happens to the best of us! Something to keep in mind is that sometimes there are segments of the track where you don't need to brake at all. In those instances, simply lifting off the throttle can be enough to help you retain your speed and maintain control. Although the Nordschleife is a great track, it is very long... Try to drive on a shorter circuit so you can gain better data to compare against. This will allow you to focus more on the areas you need to work on. Enjoy your apex work and don't be afraid to test the entry-apex-exit kerbs!

Extra - Try to brake slightly later in some cases and don't coast -example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Each week you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls each week and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, each week you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors, your score for the assigned task and your progress.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next seven days. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed throughout the week. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know.

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
‍
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
