Your racing lines are starting to look like you know what you are doing. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are a few corners where you are still entering too tight, which costs you minimum speed. Lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
You are braking too late and lightly, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner, causing you to have to delay getting back on throttle and costing you a lot of time as a result. Try brake a bit earlier so you can avoid overshooting the corner, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed and gain you more time overall. - Example

You've got a solid foundation with your lines, though fine-tuning you could make them even sharper. Braking is on point, but there's potential in the chicanes for better acceleration. Aim for quick spurts of speed where you can, keeping in mind that how you exit these sections defines your success. When possible, consider only partially lifting off the throttle instead of fully disengaging, perhaps by 30-50%. Above all, focus on your exit speed, as it's the key to better lap times.
Extra -
You are not using enough throttle input, causing your acceleration to be slower than optimal mid chicane and costing you a lot of time as a result. Try applying more throttle input so you can carry a higher acceleration speed through the chicane, gaining you more time overall. - Example

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited, and the majority of the racing skills learned have been displayed across multiple segments. There are some areas where improvements are needed, which will lower your lap times. Firstly, work on refining your cornering techniques. Mastering this will significantly benefit your overall performance. Secondly, there are several instances where your gear choice could be improved. Learning truly comes from driving, analysing, and then driving again until you feel you've reached a plateau, then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible
Extra -
You are braking too late, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner, which compromises your line for the next sequence of corners and costing you a lot of time as a result. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point to avoid overshooting the corner and allowing you to have a more ideal racing line for the fast sweeping corners and keeping a higher minimum speed, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra -
You are braking too late, causing you to carry too much speed into the corner and slightly miss the apex, costing you time. Try braking at an earlier point and will a bit less pressure, so you can maintain a higher minimum speed at the apex and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------
23/04/2026
A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.
Extra -
You are often going a gear too low for a corner, this causes your speed to be reduced significantly as a lower gear is not able to maintain the same speed through a corner as one gear higher, and due to the engine braking by an extra downshift, it drops your speed further. Have a look at the reference lap and try keep the car one gear higher than what you are currently doing for some of the corners. - Example

Great lap times again. You are producing exciting results. Your braking is very good, often you braking a little less i.e. not hitting 100% pressure compared to the reference lap, this would often be a problem but you are achieving this whilst also not being on the brakes for longer than the reference lap. One small point to note though, is that when you do need to brake to 100% you have room to do so a little more quickly. Make sure you take that power through to 100% instead of slowing the velocity of the brake pedal. It is important to note that this is on the engaging braking section not when you are starting to trail brake. Enjoy your next training session, this should be straight forward for you but remember to study the telemetry to find any flaws.
Extra -
You are getting off the throttle too early before the braking zone, causing your speed to decrease in the straight before you are braking. Try holding the throttle all the way up until the braking zone, which is then when you should come off the accelerator to go onto the brakes. - Example
----------------------
26/03/2026
There is too much inconsistency in your braking right now. Your inputs are spot on in some places and off in others. Give this assignment another go and make sure to compare with the reference lap to see what brake technique is best to use for each corner. A long, light brake? A short, sharp brake? Trail braking? and other techniques. Figure out which one is needed and try to put it into practice on track.
Extra -
You are often trying to take a late apex to give yourself a better run down the following straight. This can work well sometimes but in a few of the corners you've been doing it in, it's better to take a normal apex, as you lose too much speed trying to take the later one. Have a look at the linked session (example) and check your racing line.
----------------------
10/03/2026
Your braking still lacks consistency. On some laps you're hitting the marks well with good modulation, but in others the pressure is either too light or too heavy for the corner, which then triggers mistakes later in the turn. Work on making your braking more repeatable in the next session—if we can lock that in, we'll be ready to move on to the next phase.
Extra -
There is a big gap between lifting off and braking in most corners. This is useful if you are trying to save fuel but it won't help your lap times. Consider tightening this up to shave those hundredths. Example

Really sorry for the delay on the update.
This is unfortunately still not a pass. You have some very good segments, but in the longer braking zones your brake pressure is still a bit inconsistent, with its values fluctuating a lot. Also, there are many times when you can be faster on the brakes and take too long to reach max brake pressure.
Remember that the first attack on the brakes needs to be very sharp (fast corners can be an exception to this rule). Commit to a braking point and, especially in the longer braking zones, try to be more consistent once you hit max brake pressure.
Extra -
You're often using a lot of steering angle in the corners, essentially making the front tyres slide on track (example). Negative effects include higher tyre temperatures, understeer and lack of responsiveness from the steering. All of this costs you time at the end of the lap.
During a practise session, begin by greatly reduce your steering input, driving a bit slower. Lap by lap increase the steering angle on each corner until you find the car's grip limit. Try to remember the angle at which the car doesn't really react to an increase in steering angle and then all you need to do is stay below that point.
Good luck!

Your braking is too inconsistent. Sometimes you are showing good technique and other times your braking strength is not where it needs to be for that particular corner. This leads to other mistakes in your driving. Try to improve your consistency for the next assessment so we can move past this stage.
Extra -
You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example

Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra -
You're rolling onto the throttle prematurely, leading to front-end push and requiring you to ease off. Delay the initial application slightly, then be bolder and smoother as you squeeze on the power. Example
----------------------

This is a bit of a close pass, but a pass nonetheless, well done! You have some very good braking points, but there's still some inconsistency. It also looks like you have good reference markers. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.
Extra -
Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track - scrubbing speed. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. It looks like you also unwind the wheel in a step once you realise this instead of smoothly fixing your mistake. Example

Your braking points were sometimes really good but there was too much inconsistency. Try driving just a little slower and really learning and nailing those braking points. Also, it would be a idea to continue breaking your sessions up into sets of about 8-12 laps and then referring back to the reference lap in between.
Good luck and you'll be onto the next racing skill.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
