As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra - Even though your apexes were really good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example
----------------------
24/10/2025
There were quite a few errors that need addressing. With this second combination assessment we are now looking at eight different factors that make up your driving prowess. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you brake. Most importantly though we were on and off the brake far too much. It is so important to analyse your sessions. Without this analysis you'll always be second guessing how you are performing on track. The top drivers will be looking for small errors and keep of testing changes to the lines and braking technique to see if they can save time on a corner.
Extra - One area to target is improving your minimum speed in corners, which relies heavily on braking later and staying committed to the throttle through the turn. This will tighten the gap in your corner exit performance. For instance, experimenting with a slightly later braking zone can unlock more consistent speed retention. Example
----------------------
15/10/2025
This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off. Now focus on speeding this up, but not too much that you need to lift off - find the sweet spot.
Extra - You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example
----------------------

Practice hard and be extremely conscious of when you are lifting off the throttle (usually on corner exit). Try not to drive at 100% aggression. Back off a little until you get the feeling of pressing the throttle pedal in one direction throughout the corner exit. This is all about not lifting off the throttle.
Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example
----------------------
18/04/2025
This is still an hard area for you and more practice is needed. Slow your speed down a little (you can coast mid corner to gently slow your car) and then ensure that when you accelerate it is smooth without lifting off the throttle at all. When you have mastered this as a slower speed and get the feeling for a continual smooth acceleration then you can move back up to full race pace and try to control your acceleration again.
Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example

Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example
----------------------
13/12/2024
Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track

Consistency is a critical component of success in sim racing, and it can make all the difference between finishing first and falling behind the pack. When you're consistent, you're able to maintain a high level of performance throughout the race and avoid costly mistakes that can cost you time and positions. So, how can you improve your consistency? The key is to practice regularly and focus on developing good habits. Make a conscious effort to drive at a consistent pace, hitting the same braking points and taking the same lines through each turn. Pay attention to your lap times and try to identify areas where you can improve. Take special care to avoid those invalid lap. Time penalties can be a killer in a race. Another important factor is staying focused and avoiding distractions. Try to eliminate any external factors that can disrupt your concentration, such as noise or interruptions. And don't forget to take care of yourself - getting enough rest, staying hydrated, and eating well can all help you maintain your focus and energy levels. Finally, don't be too hard on yourself if you do make a mistake or have a bad race. Everyone has off days, and the key is to learn from your mistakes and keep pushing yourself to improve. With practice, dedication, and a positive attitude, you can become a more consistent and successful sim racer. Good luck out there on the track!
Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example
----------------------
15/11/2024
There are some good times, however also too many invalid laps. I appreciate that this is inevitable when training but it is worth really focusing on this technique as nailing lap after lap without invalid laps is critical in a race situation. It can be the difference between a drive through or not. Also, you tend to only do practice sessions with a couple of laps. If you know a race is going to be 8-12 laps then ensure you do a few practice sessions with double this amount. Slow your driving down a little and really concentrate on the consistency with valid laps.
A racing drivers main skill has to be able to achieve similar lap times lap after lap. Drop your speed 10% and achieve these valid laps to move on with your training.
Extra - Uncertainty with your throttle input is costing you time. Once the car is rotated you need to gain the confidence that you can quickly apply the throttle. Either accelerating too slowing or going on, off, on the throttle is really affecting your lap times. Just like the work you have done to find your braking points start to understand at which point you can get your foot to the floor without hesitation - example
----------------------
01/11/2024
Your racing lines are starting to look like you are understanding. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are still a few corners where you are entering too tight and exiting too narrow, which costs you minimum speed. It's just about a pass but lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - Try not to lift off way before you brake, this lag time is time you could still be accelerating, instead you are coasting. Unless you are saving fuel for a race stint there is no real benefit to this strategy - certainly not in lap time. Example

There are still improvements needed, you can often use more track both on corner entry and exit. Entry kerb - apex kerb - exit kerb as a general rule will show you where you are able to use more track to test getting the car through the corners at a higher speed. Use the kerb, you don't have to heavily ride it, just brush against them to get the feeling of how wide you can go. Take a marker from the car and try and align yourself to the absolute limits of the track width.
Extra - This is a segment that appears to be quite simple, but has a lot of details that actually make it quite tricky and it's a place where you can gain quite a bit of time.
This corner is the perfect example of how line choice, awareness, car control and smoothness all come into play, all of it on its approach. You need to use all of the track on the exit of turn 1, but you also need to get to the outside of the track really quick! Here, you'll need to brake while also turning a little, so you'll have less grip available to slow down, so make sure you can stay wide and keep your line as straight as possible without making the corner a lot tighter for you (like you did in the given example), The braking zone here is fundamental since it will dictate how much grip you'll have through the rest of the corner.
Brake a little earlier than what you expect and be smooth on the brakes to avoid understeering. This will help you avoid slowing down too much like you did in the given example. Then, release the brakes smoothly and trust the car to grip all the way to the apex.
This section is quite tricky, so you might want to experiment with different lines, but you do need to trust the car and practice being smooth to maximize your speed through the corner.
We also noticed you might be running an older version of the Track Titan logger. Your chicane technique is strong. You demonstrate good mid-corner throttle control and you get on the power well on exit. You could benefit from a wider entry and exit to the complex to carry more speed. Also you might benefit staying tighter in the first part of the chicanes to benefit the exit which is carried onto the following straight. Racing line technique is next.
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link: https://intercom.help/track-titan/en/articles/7964105-how-do-i-update-my-track-titan-logger
Extra - Use the width of the track. Every opportunity to test the limits of the track should be used. There is room both on entry and exit to the corner to go wider. Example

Please drive a track with chicanes. In order to properly assess you skills in this assignment we need to see you take on different chicanes on tracks like Zolder
Extra - Here you brake quite early. Try to push this braking point later to improve lap time. Example
----------------------
31/05/2024
Nice laps. A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. There are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible. Review your chicanes and try to carry more speed through them.
Extra - There were a few corners where your gear choice was one lower than the reference. Some of this is because your apex speed is simply slower than it could be but if you focus on carrying speed you can afford to go one gear higher. Example

Good corner gear choices just be wary of pushing too much in a gear, don't be afraid to change up a little earlier. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far.
You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - As mentioned above don't push the gears too high, change up a little earlier - example
----------------------
12/01/2024
Good, however be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Also avoid resting on te brake before fully committing to braking. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.
Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - Watch out that you don't drop into too low a gear as this can slow your car more than necessary, you'll be addressing this in your next plan - example

There are quite a few braking zones where you can brake harder. Your speed on the pedal is very good, the power needs improving. Try to brake to 100% to figure out if and when you lock up the brakes. Then, on the next lap, ease off the brakes when you locked the wheels on the previous lap. It takes some time and patience, so don't give up!
Here are a few spots where you can brake harder - Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3 | Example 4
Extra - There are quite a lot of places where you're braking early. This can be caused by the lack of power on the brakes mentioned above. So, to fix this, try to also improve your braking power and you'll be able to brake later!
Good luck!
Here are a few examples - Example 1 | Example 2
----------------------
03/07/2023
Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apex's. Great job using the whole width of the track. Practice trying to take a slightly later apex and see how this affects your deltas. Also have in the back of your mind the angle / direction of the car as you take the apex. The more it is facing in the direction of the coming straight the quicker you'll be able to effectively get on the throttle. Your throttle engagement should generally be within two car lengths of your apex.
Extra - There are a few times where you're turning your steering wheel too much. This will heavily reduce the grip on the front tyres causing understeer and making you slow down more than you need to. Here's an example. Try to feel if your steering wheel gets lighter during the corner. If it does it's a sign of understeer. Try to steer a bit less on the next lap to correct it.
Don't forget to use the Track Titan app. It's very useful in situations like this one.
----------------------
26/06/2023
You're doing really well, although there were a couple of instances where you just missed the mark. No worries though, it happens to the best of us! Something to keep in mind is that sometimes there are segments of the track where you don't need to brake at all. In those instances, simply lifting off the throttle can be enough to help you retain your speed and maintain control.Enjoy your apex work and don't be afraid to test the entry-apex-exit kerbs!
Extra - You're quite often going a gear too low through some corners. This is lowering your speed through the corner significantly. Besides that, you'll also have alot more torque on the exit, which can cause wheel spin, reduce the car's grip and make you lose time on corner exits. You're also using the first gear in a few corners. Formula cars rarely use first gear (apart from the race starts), as it is a very short gear and has too much torque. It's safer and faster to use second gear.
Here are some examples: Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3
Try to analyse your laps on the Track Titan app. It's very helpful when trying to figure out these smaller, but important details.
---------------------
19/06/2023
Your braking points were sometimes really good but there was too much inconsistency. Try driving just a little slower and really learning and nailing those braking points. Also, it would be a idea to continue breaking your sessions up into sets of about 8-12 laps and then referring back to the reference lap in between.Your lap should overlap our reference lap.
Good luck.
Extra - We recommend you to try and keep a higher speed through some segments. Formula 1 cars rely heavily on downforce to have grip. The faster the car goes, the more downforce it produces.
This means that sometimes you can have more grip through a corner by going faster (more downforce + grip from tyres) than when you're going slower (less downforce + less grip from the tyres). Here's a good example
Don't forget to use the Track Titan app! It is very helpful when trying to find new braking point's and all the available grip your car has.

05/06/2023 - 12/06/2023
We are ready to assess your braking point practice. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data, between 20-40 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls each week and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, each week you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors, your score for the assigned task and your progress.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next seven days. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed throughout the week. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know.
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
