Impressive driving. Your consistency, knowledge of the track and overall racing technique is looking strong. Obviously this is reflected in the lap times. Congratulations. All good drivers will take the time to examine their telemetry. When you are drive so well, sometimes it is hard to see exactly the mistakes that are taking place on track. Just the knowledge that sometime wasn't perfect is keeping you grinding out the laps. This is great and instils needed muscle memory however, we'd advise getting dirty in the telemetry a bit more. Find common issues, or weak corners so when you are next on track you can hone in on needed areas. Train smart and train hard! Good luck.
You are too slow getting back on throttle on corner exits, causing your exit speed to be compromised and costing you a significant amount of time as a result. Try applying the throttle quicker as you reach the apex, so you can accelerate quicker as you exit the corner, gaining you more time overall due to carrying a higher exit speed. - Example

Well done, you have successfully completed your setup work. Your dedication, hard work, and hopefully new understanding of setups have allowed you to pass this milestone. Your grasp of testing different setups in sim racing demonstrates your commitment to improving your skills. Congratulations on your achievement and good luck for your next Combination Assessment.
Extra -
You are too slow with getting back on the throttle on corner exit, costing you a considerable amount of time as your exit speed is significantly affected as a result of not getting back on throttle quickly. Try get back on throttle as you are leaving the apex, so you can carry a higher exit speed, and allowing you to hold a higher speed on the straight, gaining you more time overall. - Example
----------------------
20/05/2026
Your consistency of reaching 100% throttle as quickly as the reference lap was reasonably good. You are getting the hang of a technique here that many drivers find hard. There is still room for a faster application so keep working on it. Go through the items on the Previous Plans list that you struggle with most and you'll be knocking even more time off your laps.
Extra -
You are braking too late into the hairpin, causing you to carry too much speed and run too deep into the corner, compromising your exit speed significantly and costing you a lot of time as a result. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point so you can have more control under braking, to allow you to maintain a higher minimum speed overall, gaining you time. - Example
----------------------
07/05/2026
When you steer your car, you are essentially changing its direction by altering the angle of the wheels. However, if you turn the wheels too much, the car will experience understeer. This means that the car's front wheels lose grip and traction, causing it to slow down and become less responsive to your steering inputs. So, while it may seem tempting to turn your steering wheel as much as possible to take a turn, it is actually more efficient to find the sweet spot where the car maintains its grip and speed. By mastering the balance between steering and maintaining traction, you'll be able to navigate the track with ease and speed. During this week you've managed this very well with only a couple of times that you've been scrubbing the tyres, so very well done.
Extra -
You're braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as you do not have the right speed to attack the corner. Try applying less brake pressure so you can maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. - Example
----------------------
20/04/2026
Great use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%.
Extra -
You are often holding the brakes a bit too long, which causes your speed to reduce a bit more than optimal, and costing you time. Try releasing the brakes a bit earlier, with the same trail braking you are doing, so you are able to maintain a higher minimum speed at the apex and gain more time. - Example
----------------------
06/04/2026
Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready. Good luck and have fun on track

Well done, you've shown a decent understanding of the skills you've been learning over the past few weeks. This is good enough for a pass and we will move onto the next skill now. Good luck and have fun!
Extra -
In general, you can turn the steering wheel a little more to help get round the corner. This will allow you to take a bit more speed and find some more time as you'll be on the limit of the tyres grip. - example
----------------------

Sorry for the delay on the update.
This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
Up next is your second Combination Assessment. Good luck!
Extra -
Through segment 8 at Monza, you're having to lift off on the final corner of the complex. While you're doing this out of necessity because you're very fast going into that corner, it adds complexity to the inputs needed there and in the end it ended up costing you time.
There are two paths you can take here: you can keep practising this method with added risk of losing time at the end of the complex. or you can carry a bit more speed in the first corner, have a wider exit there which allows you to go through that final corner at full throttle, minimizing the risk of losing speed there.
Both approaches are good, you just need to weigh the pros and cons and see which one you prefer.
----------------------
23/02/2026
Nicely done, you show that consistency is there. Work on this more with more longer sessions of 20+ laps as ones concentration sometimes affects ones consistency in these longer sessions. This skill is important as you work towards your second Combination Assessment.
Extra -
Your next step is to focus on increasing cornering momentum, particularly by pushing your braking points closer to the turn and maintaining throttle input longer. This will directly improve your exit speeds and reduce lap time deficits. For example, a smoother transition from braking to throttle can help you maintain flow through the corner. Example
----------------------
10/02/2026
Let's give this assignment another go. Currently your lap times vary too much, a few laps will be withing 2s and then the next one will be 10s off. Don't worry about pushing like it's a quali lap every lap for this assignment. Go at pace you're comfortable doing for 10-15 laps and focus on doing clean and consistent laps.
Extra -
Currently, you are applying the throttle too early. This takes the weight off the front wheels which causes them to slide (understeer). Not only does this slow you dowm, it also wears the tyres faster and can overheat the tyres. Focus on lifting through the corner and then getting on the throttle quickly on exiting, rather than applying slowly throughout the corner. - example
----------------------
26/01/2026
Consistency is a critical component of success in sim racing, and it can make all the difference between finishing first and falling behind the pack. When you're consistent, you're able to maintain a high level of performance throughout the race and avoid costly mistakes that can cost you time and positions. So, how can you improve your consistency? The key is to practice regularly and focus on developing good habits. Make a conscious effort to drive at a consistent pace, hitting the same braking points and taking the same lines through each turn. Pay attention to your lap times and try to identify areas where you can improve. Take special care to avoid those invalid lap. Time penalties can be a killer in a race. Another important factor is staying focused and avoiding distractions. Try to eliminate any external factors that can disrupt your concentration, such as noise or interruptions. And don't forget to take care of yourself - getting enough rest, staying hydrated, and eating well can all help you maintain your focus and energy levels. Finally, don't be too hard on yourself if you do make a mistake or have a bad race. Everyone has off days, and the key is to learn from your mistakes and keep pushing yourself to improve. With practice, dedication, and a positive attitude, you can become a more consistent and successful sim racer. Good luck out there on the track!
Extra -
The line is a touch too conservative through the middle of the corner, costing exit momentum. Get comfortable pushing to the edges of the track on turn-in, clipping the apex closer, and tracking out fully when the car is stable. Example
----------------------
12/01/2026
Your racing lines are starting to look like you are understanding. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are still a few corners where you are entering too tight and exiting too narrow, which costs you minimum speed. It's just about a pass but lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra -
By running slightly wide of the ideal apex, you're giving up cornering speed. Commit to the classic outside-inside-outside line, using the entire track width on entry, apex, and exit in the stable portions of the corner. Example
----------------------
29/12/2025
You've got a solid foundation with your lines, though fine-tuning you could make them even sharper. Braking is on point, but there's potential in the chicanes for better acceleration. Aim for quick spurts of speed where you can, keeping in mind that how you exit these sections defines your success. When possible, consider only partially lifting off the throttle instead of fully disengaging, perhaps by 30-50%. Above all, focus on your exit speed, as it's the key to better lap times.
Extra -
Your throttle application is delaying your acceleration phase, impacting your straight-line speed. Maximise throttle input earlier to optimise top speed for the next straight. Focus on swift and seamless throttle control, utilising track space efficiently to maintain straight alignment for maximal power transfer and acceleration efficiency. Example
----------------------
15/12/2025
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited, and the majority of the racing skills learned have been displayed across multiple segments. There are some areas where improvements are needed, which will lower your lap times. Firstly, work on refining your cornering techniques. Mastering this will significantly benefit your overall performance. Secondly, there are several instances where your gear choice could be improved. Learning truly comes from driving, analysing, and then driving again until you feel you've reached a plateau, then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible
Extra -
To unlock more speed, focus on perfecting your trail braking technique. Maintaining smooth brake release is vital for car stability and maximizing traction. Brake firmly at first, then gradually reduce pressure as you steer into the corner, fully releasing by the apex. As an example, start easing off the brake just as you turn in to ensure the car remains balanced and grips well through the turn. Example
----------------------
01/12/2025
This week the braking points and apex work slipped a bit, so focus on tightening up those two areas before moving on to the next training stage. Once you’ve nailed the braking points and power delivery, you’ll free up more attention for throttle control—and that’s when you’ll see the biggest gains in your times. Pulling all these skills together isn’t easy, but stick with it; the payoff is worth the effort.
Extra - A key area for improvement is your trail braking approach. Ensuring smooth brake modulation helps maintain car balance and maximizes tire grip. Apply strong braking at first, then slowly reduce pressure as you steer into the corner, completing the release at the apex. As an example, start easing off the brakes right at turn-in to carry more controlled speed through the corner. Example
----------------------
17/11/2025
Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. Example
----------------------
04/11/2025
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example
----------------------
15/10/2025
Sorry for the delay on the update.
Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can slowly tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are nailing the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up!
Extra - Sometimes your data is a little patchy. This could be because other processes are running in the background on your PC. Please try adjusting the send rate on the Track Titan logger if this continues or close unnecessary programs.
----------------------
29/09/2025
Very nice, your braking points are looking quite good. You have clearly got good reference markers, even though there are some segments where you missed the mark. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.
Extra - This segment at Suzuka is all about the flow, conserving momentum and getting the racing line right. Your line is generally good, although there are places where you can take more advantage of the track's width. You need to work on conserving the car's momentum here, you're often a bit too aggressive on the brakes, that shift's the car's weight forward and can induce some understeer. Being mindful of your inputs is crucial to keep the car balanced and the grip levels high.
Try to be a bit smoother in this segment and see how those changes on your inputs affect your lap time. Good luck!

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
