We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Good control through the chicane. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.

Extra - There are a few corners where your apex game is weaker than it could be. Most of the time you nail this but it would be good if you could improve your consistency. Example

Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track! The Nürburgring is a good test but we want to see your best efforts and this is only possible with multiple repeat laps. Your driving is showing promise and I think you will pass this. Pick a short track with chicanes like Zolder so we can get the best study of your driving.
Extra - Consistency on shorter tracks is unclear because there are not enough laps

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Similar to last week your racing line is off a bit still, this is making your chicanes trickier than they need to be. Jump into the telemetry and use the turn in and racing line of the reference lap. Understanding the braking, turn in and very importantly using the full width on exit are all important.
Extra - Try to practice more chicanes, varied chicanes. Tracks like Imola, Zolder and Monza are great example. The chicanes are currently your weakest area, take on board the points above, refer to the plan again and see if you can improve your racing line - example

Braking points are generally very good however there are some things to work on a little more, you are having to brake a little early as you are having to turn more as your racing line is off. The mid chicane throttle work is lacking. Have confidence to put your foot down mid chicane to squeeze in a little acceleration. It might feel insignificant but there is lots of time to be found here. Plan for your exit as well you are sometimes on and off the throttle with is stopping you getting to 100% throttle quickly.
Extra - As mentioned above work on your racing line. Imagine a piece of string and you are trying to stretch it to get it straighter. Driving is about testing the limits of your car and the track in this example you'll need to test the kerbs more to straighten that string - example

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful, your consistency is just off a little. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - Your racing line is good just get a little tighter on apexes sometimes. Consistency needed on braking, sometimes very good but sometimes dragging the brake. Work on your throttle, currently you are too slow to 100% - example

Sorry for the delay in getting this assessment to you.
Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far.
You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - Avoid getting on the throttle too early, better to be faster too 100% thus a later acceleration can help to achieve this - example
----------------------
30/11/2023
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.
Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - The slow acceleration in this segment is costing you a lot of time. Practice timing your throttle work to get to 100% throttle as quickly as possible. This doesn't mean starting early, it is more about having a rotated car so that you are able to accelerate quickly - example
----------------------
17/11/2023
There needs to be a little more speed and urgency in your braking. Sometimes you nail it but on too many occasions there is too much hesitancy. You are braking a little earlier than the reference lap and getting to 100% braking later. Try to press the brake pedal quicker whilst doing your best to maintain traction. Also, try to avoid resting on the brake pedal before fully committing to the braking phase.
Practice is needed but it is a skill that is relatively easy to view and adapt to.
Extra - Work on your exit width, this extra width can be used to accelerate at an ever so slightly straighter angle that can make a big difference to the effeciency of your acceleration - example
----------------------
02/11/2023
Great racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apexes, keep on testing the track limits to smooth out the corner as much as possible. Great job using the whole width of the track. Practice trying to take a slightly later apex and see how this affects your deltas. Also have in the back of your mind the angle / direction of the car as you take the apex. The more it is facing in the direction of the coming straight the quicker you'll be able to effectively get on the throttle.
Your throttle engagement should generally be within two car lengths of your apex.
Extra - Watch out for these lifts, telemetry is like searching for clues about your speed. If you feel a lift is necessary this is often due to being a little off line or just confidence that the car can handle the corner - example
----------------------
19/10/2023
A narrow pass as your braking was consistent. Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily.
Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - You have a tendency to brake far too early for the chicanes, as well as sometimes you rest of the brake before committing to the corner. Finally start to think a little about how you are getting on the throttle, it is often a little too early which means you are late to get to 100% power as you are having to lift - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors (it could be the next day aswell), your score for the assigned task and your progress.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
