A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are one gear off the reference lap, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.

Bonus Focus Point

You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed into the corner and gain more time due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example

In the same section, you are also running wide due to accelerating too early mid corner, causing you to carry too much speed mid apex and run wide, costing you significant time on the exit as you are unable to get back on throttle quickly enough. Try be more patient before going on throttle so that when you do need to accelerate, you can accelerate straight to full throttle and keep it there until the next braking point, instead of accelerating, lifting off entirely, and then reapplying the throttle again.

A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.

Extra -

You are still going a gear too low for the corner, causing the engine braking to kick in more and reduce your speed more than optimal to a speed that is suitable for that lower gear, but not necessarily suitable for the corner itself. This costs you a considerable amount of time as a result as you are too slow for many of the corners due to going too low of a gear for the corner. Have a look at the reference lap and try take most corners in a higher gear, so you can avoid the engine braking reducing your speed further. - Example

Extra -

You are often a gear too low for the corner, causing your speed to be significantly lower than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. By using a lower gear, you are causing the engine braking in the car to kick in harder as the revs are too high for the speed. This engine braking reduces the speed significantly in order to be at a speed suitable for that gear. Have a look at the reference lap and try driving one gear higher in majority of corners to what you are currently doing, in order to avoid the engine braking reducing your speed drastically more than necessary, and so you can gain time by carrying more speed on corner entry, and at the apex. - Example

----------------------

Your brake inputs are good, well done. Your peak braking pressure is fine, however you can find more time by applying the brakes faster. This will allow you to brake a little later, without running deep into the corner.

Extra -

You aren't aggressive enough when getting back on power. Have a look at this linked segment (example) and see how the reference lap quickly applies the throttle, while you apply slowly and carefully. This costs you time under acceleration and down the straights. A bit of work here and you'll see several tenths come off your lap times 💪

----------------------

25/04/2026
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra -

You often enter the braking zone or exit a corner on the inside of the track, rather than the outside of the track. This is costing you time because you are not using the full width of the track. When you are braking, brake on the outside of the track, to open the corner the best you can on the corner entry. Then, on the exit, drive the car out to the edge of the track, using the curb, to carry the most exit speed you can. - Example

----------------------

13/04/2026
Finding the fastest way through a corner isn’t always about sticking to the line that feels “just right.” Sometimes, pushing closer to the apex unlocks hidden speed. Imagine starting wide, aiming your entry toward the curb, and adjusting when you clip the apex—earlier or later, depending on the turn’s demands. On the exit, let the car drift naturally across the track, using every inch of space. Over time, these adjustments become automatic, and once they do, you can fine-tune your approach to shave off even more time.

Extra -

You are coming back on throttle way too early in the corner, which induces understeer and causes you to completely miss the apex and run extremely wide. Try be more patient before getting back on throttle to allow the car properly rotate through a corner, and once it does, apply throttle inputs a bit slower, do not go straight to full throttle as it will only push your car towards the grass or gravel. - Example

----------------------

28/03/2026
Some more work is needed here before we progress. Right now, you are turning into the corner too early which means that you get some understeer. Delay your turn in by a couple seconds for a cleaner line around the corner.

Extra -

Sometimes, it's better to brake a bit earlier with less pressure, but for longer. This allows for better weight transfer and avoids unsettling the car. There were a few corners like this but you were braking heavily and quickly. Try to copy the reference laps brake shape for a bit and see how you get on. - example

----------------------

15/03/2026
Your braking points are good, though there is room for improvement.

Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily.

Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra -

You're driving well. All the basics are coming along well. One point that could really help you at the moment is to be very conscious about using the full width of the track, both on entry and exit out of a corner. Take a look at your exit out of this corner. That extra width will really help you maintain a higher speed - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
