Instructor Notes

25/05/2026 - 19/06/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra -

You are holding the brakes for too long, causing your speed to drop more than optimal and delay your ability to get back on throttle quickly, costing you time. Try releasing the brakes a bit quicker so you can get on throttle quicker and gain more time due to carrying a higher minimum speed. - Example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra -

In Turn 1 at Interalgos, you come off the brakes too quickly, causing you to carry too much speed at the apex and run wide, putting you on a tighter line for Turn 2. Try holding onto the brakes a bit longer to slow the car down more, allowing you to keep more towards the left of the track on the exit to open the corner better for Turn 2 to be able to take it flat. - Example

Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on, also great trail braking technique! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra -

This corner at Barcelona is somewhat similar to Parabolica at Monza, both feature an early apex and early acceleration to take full advantage of the widening exit.
At Barcelona, it's always tempting to brake late, but that comes with the danger of having a slower exit, which is what happened to you. Your racing line is also looking very good, although you're apexing just a bit too early, which also contributes to the slower exit.
Try to adjust your braking point and entry width slightly each lap and see how each one affects your delta, then choose the faster method and see if you can use it consistently.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track πŸ’ͺ

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
