Instructor Notes

26/03/2026 - 16/06/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

There are moments when you nail the apex perfectly, staying tight with a solid line through the corner and a smooth exit. However, there are still too many instances where you're not fully maximizing this, and there's potential to get even tighter on the apex. Remember to begin wide on the entry kerb, focus on your apex (whether it's early or late), and accelerate so that you're using the full width of the track. With a bit more practice, you'll develop a better feel for each corner. Once you’ve got that, you can start fine-tuning for smaller improvements. Aim to get at least 20 more laps in to see noticeable progress.

Extra -

You're not maximising mid-corner velocity because the car isn't hugging the apex tightly enough. Always aim to use the full track limits—wide entry, precise apex touch, wide exit—wherever the car is settled and under control. Example

Sorry for the delay on the update.
Very nice, your braking points are generally quite good. You have clearly got good reference markers, but there is still some inconsistency with your braking points. Sometimes a bit too early, sometimes too late.
There are also a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.
Go over your telemetry from time to time to see where you can improve your braking points and try to apply that on track.
Good luck!

Watch your racing line through this segment. You go a bit wide out of the first part of the complex which makes the second part tighter. Often times, the fastest approach to a segment, like in the example, needs to sacrifice some exit speed after the first apex to then have a wider entry into the second part of the complex. Experiment with different racing lines through this segment (and similar ones) and see how each approach affects your delta there.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
