Instructor Notes

11/06/2026
Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.  Good luck and have fun on track

Bonus Focus Point

You are braking with too much brake pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try braking with less pressure so you can maintain a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. - Example

Previous Instructor Notes

28/05/2026
There were quite a few errors that need addressing. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were many times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but you need to keep an eye on how hard you brake. This was sometimes too hard for the nature of the corner. A bit more practice, especially on your gear choices and you'll be moving onto your next plan.

Extra -

You are often dropping one gear too low, sometimes two gears too low for a corner, causing the engine braking to kick in and reduce your speed significantly more than optimal, costing you a considerable amount of time. When you are braking, you are also braking with too much pressure, causing a further reduction in speed. At times, you are even braking at full pressure in a corner that only needs a small ease off the throttle. Have a look at the reference lap in this segment to get an idea of what to do differently. Try keep the car in higher gears so you can carry a higher minimum speed through the fast left and right handers, as well as braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed at the apex, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

Sorry for the delay on the update.
Good corner gear choices! Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times.
So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Extra -

You're sometimes using too much steering angle and that can lead to a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track (example). To drive fast, keep the grip levels high and avoid losing speed unnecessarily, you need to use as little steering angle as possible. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit.

16/04/2026 - 30/04/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Could you please drive more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to get a read of how you are doing, even if you are not driving as part of a specific plan. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps, the more the better! 💪

Extra -

You braked too late, causing you to apply more brake pressure, which significantly reduced your speed after exiting the corner. Try braking with less pressure to carry a greater minimum speed through the corner and the exit of the corner. - Example

Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.

Extra -

Try to be less erratic with the throttle, smaller motions will help. This is tricky but when you ease off the throttle, you often take the throttle to 20-30% pressure. Try to use smaller movements to avoid slowing the car too much. Example

Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress.  Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra -

You can boost your lap times by honing your trail braking skills. The key is to brake smoothly to keep the car composed and preserve grip. Hit the brakes hard initially, then progressively release them as you begin turning, fully off by the apex. For instance, a gradual brake release starting at the turn-in point can help you maintain stability and grip through the corner. Example

----------------------

08/01/2026
Currently, you are braking a bit too early. Let's give this assignment another go, and try to push your braking points back around 10-20 meter.

Extra -

You are going too slowly through the corners, and that's because you are using too much brake pressure. Try to reduce your brake pressure by about 15% to help carry the speed into corners, and keep the cars balance predictable.

----------------------

25/12/2025
There are some bad corners and some good corners. It is important to braking hard to be able to stretch your braking points. Brake hard and brake deep. Remember to refer back to the reference lap to see how you are doing. Small adjustments are needed all the time. We are only a little way off so we will move on. Each of these plans works on top of the previous one. So don't forget your braking points as we look closer at the apex of each corner. Also, it is important that you don't rest on the brake pedal before you commit to the corner.

Extra -

You are often braking in fast corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
