This is a bit of a close pass, but you've shown some good improvement since your last turnover day, so well done! You can still further improve your throttle technique, there are still some segments where you're having to lift off the throttle to avoid leaving the track. This assignment is difficult because there are plenty of things that influence your accelerating at the corner exit. Make sure you're trail braking well into corners, rotate the car towards the exit, but more crucial of all, try to practise getting the timing just right to smoothy accelerate out of the corners.
Good luck!
This section at Mid-Ohio can be a bit tricky to get the racing line right. You managed to gain a bit of time on segment 5, but lost it at segment 6. That happened mostly due to exiting segment 5 too wide, which gave you a tighter entry into segment 6, costing you time there. The issues start right on the first corner on segment 5, you exited wide there, gained plenty of time, but you'll be gradually losing it since you won't be able to carry enough speed on the rest of the segment. This then also propagates to segment 6.
In situations where you have two (or more) corners in close succession, you always need to prioritise the exit speed from the whole section instead of analysing it corner by corner. This often times means that you'll need to sacrifice some exit speed after the first apex so you can position the car better to approach the following one and maximise exit speed there.

06/06/2026
Another hard assignment but use the information and the practice that you have been doing for the last few months and apply this on track. You are delaying too long before commiting to the pedal. The speed of the application after that point is good but it just starts too late. You need to be questioning whether your line was correct, if you rotated the car enough, is your wheel movement not too exaggerated. Work hard on these areas and refer back to the telemetry data after each session to find the flaws in your corners.
Extra -
You are getting off the brakes too early, causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner, which is what also affects your acceleration on exit, as you are unable to get back on throttle quickly due to the overshoot of the corner. Try holding the brakes longer, gradually releasing them as you reach the apex, rather than completely getting off the brakes. This will help you stick to the apex, maintain a higher minimum speed, and get back on throttle quicker on exit, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example
----------------------
25/05/2026
When you steer your car, you are essentially changing its direction by altering the angle of the wheels. However, if you turn the wheels too much, the car will experience understeer. This means that the car's front wheels lose grip and traction, causing it to slow down and become less responsive to your steering inputs. So, while it may seem tempting to turn your steering wheel as much as possible to take a turn, it is actually more efficient to find the sweet spot where the car maintains its grip and speed. By mastering the balance between steering and maintaining traction, you'll be able to navigate the track with ease and speed. During this week you've managed this very well with only a couple of times that you've been scrubbing the tyres, so very well done.
Extra -
You are braking a bit late, causing you to apply full brake pressure to avoid overshooting the corner. This however causes your speed at the apex to be lower than optimal due to the compromised line, and it costs you a lot of time as a result. Try braking a bit earlier so you can apply less brake pressure, allowing you to rotate the car better into the corner, maintaining a higher minimum speed, and gaining more time overall. - Example
----------------------
11/05/2026
Decent use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%. I would like to see you be a bit smoother with this technique as you are still a bit inconsistent.
Extra -
You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time, as you are too slow to attack the corner properly. Try applying less pressure on the brakes so you can maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall as a result. - Example
----------------------
25/04/2026
You are just not understanding the concept. You are releasing the brake almost instantly. Look at what the reference driver is doing. We want to see a defined smooth release of the brake pedal to enable you to transfer the tyre loads most efficiently.
Extra -
The biggest issue to why you are struggling with trailbraking is because you are braking too hard in the braking zones, meaning you are dropping your speed much quicker than the reference time, causing you to have to release the brakes fully in order to carry some speed into the corner. Have a look at the reference lap, and try applying less pressure under braking, so you can gradually release it as you are getting through the corner, before applying a bit more for the next braking zone, and again gradually releasing the brakes as you reach the apex. - Example
----------------------
13/04/2026
Trailbraking smoothly blends braking into steering, enhancing control and speed in corners; however, if you find the car understeers or you're exiting too slowly, you might be releasing the brakes too quickly or not balancing weight transfer effectively. Practice refining the pressure release and timing your throttle application for smoother, faster corner exits. Keep trying this one.
Extra -
Your braking is early, and too slow initially and then harsh at the end, meaning you are slowing the car too much at the apex, and your speed is lower than optimal as a result. The multiple spikes of high brake pressure to slow the car down does more harm than good, because you are not using able to rotate the car and instead causes understeer the whole way through the corner. Have a look at the reference to understand trail braking better. You have to ease off the brakes smoothly as you approach the apex. - Example
----------------------
28/03/2026
Some more improvement is needed here, mainly with your track usage. We will class this assignment as a fail and can revisit it later. For now, we will move onto the next skill. Good luck.
Extra -
Often you are not following the racing line. Approaching corners towards the middle of the track (example) and not at the inside of the track in some places. This is a super big part of finding time so it's important to work on this and get it correct.
----------------------
15/03/2026
We'll give you one more shot at this assignment before we move on. You need to try to pull all you have learnt into one assessment. The lap times you are doing just don't cut it and will fall dramatically if you get all the basics right. Have one more go.
Extra -
Here you go too wide in the first part of the complex. This makes the final turn much tighter and means you cannot accelerate out early enough. You lose time from this mistake. Compromise in corner complexes is key to the best overall time. Example
‍
----------------------
27/02/2026
It’s crucial to review your sessions in detail. Without doing so, you will continue to guess at your performance, which is not an effective approach. The top drivers analyse every aspect of their driving, constantly searching for small mistakes and testing adjustments in their lines and braking techniques to improve their lap times. Until you adopt this level of analysis and attention to detail, you will struggle to make the necessary improvements to pass.
Extra -
Avoid hitting the brake pedal multiple times in one braking zone. Ideally you want to hit it firmly to begin with and then ease off as things slow down. Hitting it more than once suggests you broke too early. Example
‍
----------------------
13/02/2026
Overall performance in this assessment did not meet the required standard to progress to the next training plan. There were inconsistencies across the lap that affected your overall pace and control. While some sections showed potential, the combination of skills needs further refinement to reach the necessary consistency. Keep practicing with focused sessions, review your telemetry for patterns, and build toward greater reliability lap after lap. With continued effort, you'll be ready to advance soon.
Extra -
By running slightly wide of the ideal apex, you're giving up cornering speed. Commit to the classic outside-inside-outside line, using the entire track width on entry, apex, and exit in the stable portions of the corner. Example
‍
----------------------
30/01/2026
This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off. Now focus on speeding this up, but not too much that you need to lift off - find the sweet spot.
Extra -
Your mid-corner speed is lower because you're not getting close enough to the apex point. Prioritise using the full available track—from outside on entry, tight to the apex, and back out wide on exit—especially in phases where the car feels planted. Example
‍
----------------------
17/01/2026
Practice hard and be extremely conscious of when you are lifting off the throttle (usually on corner exit). Try not to drive at 100%Â aggression. Back off a little until you get the feeling of pressing the throttle pedal in one direction throughout the corner exit. This is all about not lifting off the throttle.
Extra -
The key issue we're seeing is that you're throttling down too soon instead of ramping up to full power. Adjust your racing line just a touch, getting closer to the apex, and you'll notice a real boost in performance. Example
‍
----------------------
04/01/2026
There's still more work needed here. You're reaching full throttle very quickly which is great, but you're also lifting off plenty of times. Slow down your pace a bit and focus on applying the throttle smoothly. As you get more comfortable, you can focus on reaching full throttle earlier, but for now focus on avoiding lifting off.
Also review your racing line and braking points to make sure you line up for the best exit line.
Extra -
There are a few segments where you're not taking advantage of the whole track wither on the corner entry or exit (example), or by not being close enough to the apex (example). This can be fundamental on avoiding lifting off at the corner exit.
Make sure you're pushing the track limits and using the kerbs a bit more to optimize your racing line.
‍
----------------------
19/12/2025
This is still an hard area for you and more practice is needed. Slow your speed down a little (you can coast mid corner to gently slow your car) and then ensure that when you accelerate it is smooth without lifting off the throttle at all. When you have mastered this as a slower speed and get the feeling for a continual smooth acceleration then you can move back up to full race pace and try to control your acceleration again.
Extra -
By not aiming for the sharpest possible apex, you're losing precious speed mid-corner. It's crucial to make use of every bit of track space available at the entry, apex, and exit points where your vehicle maintains stability. Example
‍
----------------------
05/12/2025
Good job, your laptimes are super consistent. There were a couple invalid laps, but nothing major. Being consistent in races is the key to winning. If your fast, but spinning off every other lap, chances are someone a bit slower but more consistent is going to beat you. Keep up the good work!
Extra - You aren't taking enough speed into fast corners. This is because you are lifting too much/using too much brake pressure. If you can take a bit more speed in without running wide, you'll find a good chunk of time. - example
----------------------
22/11/2025
Could you please drive more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to get a read of how you are doing, even if you are not driving as part of a specific plan. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - You are giving up mid-corner speed by not taking a tight enough apex. Make sure to use every inch of track available on corner entry, apex and exit where the car is stable. Example
‍
----------------------
10/11/2025
There are some good times, however also too many invalid laps. I appreciate that this is inevitable when training but it is worth really focusing on this technique as nailing lap after lap without invalid laps is critical in a race situation. It can be the difference between a drive through or not. Slow you driving down a little and really concentrate on the consistency with valid laps. AÂ racing drivers main skill has to be able to achieve similar lap times lap after lap. Drop your speed 10%Â and achieve these valid laps to move on with your training.
Extra - Even though your apexes were really good, it is important also to get the width on entry and exit from the corners, work on this as you look at the second aspect of your braking. Example
----------------------
24/10/2025
Could you please drive more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to get a read of how you are doing, even if you are not driving as part of a specific plan. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - Here you go too wide in the first part of the complex. This makes the final right much tighter and means you cannot accelerate out early enough. You lose time from this mistake. Compromise in corner complexes is key to the best overall time. Example
----------------------
15/10/2025
Your racing lines are starting to look like you are understanding. In most situations we want to open up the entry and exit of the corner so that when we clip the apex the path we travel has the largest possible radius. This allows you to carry the most possible speed through the corner. There are exceptions, for example in corner complexes, where sometimes a compromise is required. There are still a few corners where you are entering too tight and exiting too narrow, which costs you minimum speed. It's just about a pass but lets keep working on this as you go into the next challenge - Consistency.
Extra - To unlock more speed, focus on perfecting your trail braking technique. Maintaining smooth brake release is vital for car stability and maximizing traction. Brake firmly at first, then gradually reduce pressure as you steer into the corner, fully releasing by the apex. As an example, start easing off the brake just as you turn in to ensure the car remains balanced and grips well through the turn. Example
----------------------
26/09/2025
Try to get wider on entry and exit at the moment you are playing it a little bit safe. Explore whether you can brake whilst slightly touching the kerb, the same with accelerating straight on the exit kerb. Is the braking safe? Try hard to find that extra width it will help you maintain your corner speed.
Extra - You're sacrificing potential speed in the middle of turns by not cutting the apex as sharply as possible. Maximise the track's width on entry, at the apex, and on exit when the car is under control and stable. Example
----------------------
12/09/2025
There are still improvements needed. Entry kerb - apex kerb - exit kerb as a general rule will show you where you are able to use more track to test getting the car through the corners at a higher speed. Use the kerb, you don't have to heavily ride it, just brush against them to get the feeling of how wide you can go. It is mainly your entry to the corner where you just need to be slightly wider. Take a marker from the car and try and align yourself to the absolute limits of the track width.
Extra - The primary problem right now is that you're easing off the accelerator too early rather than accelerating fully to maximum throttle. Consider tweaking your racing path a bit—aiming for a tighter approach to the apex should make a big difference. Example
----------------------
29/08/2025
Your racing lines aren't taking full advantage of the track. Stay wide on the entry, don't drift towards the apex, wait for your turn in point then eyeball the apex and hug the apex kerb and then determine a good exit acceleration point to take advantage of the whole width on the track on exit. You normally manage to get two out of three parts correct. i.e. entry and apex or entry and exit but miss the apex. It is when you manage to hit all three is where you increase the radius of the corner and give the car the chance to carry faster speeds.
Extra - You often accelerate too late and that cost you a lot of time. You aren't as fast to 100% with your throttle which is affecting your top speed on the subsequent straight. Practice a fast but smooth acceleration all the way to 100% throttle using as much of the track exit as available so that you can have as straight a wheel as possible. This will allow the car to use most of it's power for forward acceleration. Example
----------------------
18/08/2025
Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track - scrubbing speed. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. It looks like here you unwind the wheel in a step once you realise this instead of smoothly fixing your mistake. Example
----------------------
02/08/2025
We didn't have a lot of chicanes to analyse, but from what we could see, you're doing a great job, but there are still one or two things that you can improve. We'd also like to see you drive through chicanes in a few different tracks to know how you perform there.
From your sessions, your gear choice and mid-chicane acceleration are looking great, but you still need to find a good braking point for this chicane, sometimes you're going a bit deep, other times you can carry some more speed into the chicane. Remember to review your telemetry to see how you can adjust your braking points and racing line, and please don't forget to try a couple of different tracks with chicanes. Zolder is a great track for that.
Keep up the good work and good luck!
Extra - Your braking is looking a bit inconsistent in some segments and that is increasing your braking distances (example). To optimize your braking, you should first apply the brakes sharply, then hold them at a consistent pressure and finally release them gradually as you start turning into the corner.
----------------------
20/07/2025
Firstly, your gear choices are looking very good and so are your apexes, well done! Your braking points are quite close to our reference laps, which is great but there's room for improvement in a couple of segments.
Your biggest issue is your brake pressure, there are segments where you're braking when you don't need to and, although your speed on the pedal is quite good, your brake pressure is often inconsistent. In future sessions, try to keep your brake pressure more consistent, avoid pumping the brakes and try to brake only once for the corner. Braking multiple times causes weight shifts in the car and that can lead to loss of control.
Once more, good combination assessment, keep up the good work and remember to keep focusing on your braking!
Extra - You're often losing time on the corner exits, wither by carrying too much speed into the corner or accelerating early. Both of these things cause you to lift off the throttle and/or need more time to reach full throttle, this costs plenty of time (example).
Make sure you are consistent with your braking points, then remember to smoothly release the brakes as you turn into the corner, you need to find a balance between releasing them too quickly and holding onto them for too long. You can also le the car coast a bit near the apex during your practice sessions to make sure you get the timing on the throttle right for each corner.
Keep up the good work and good luck!
----------------------
04/07/2025
It is a hard task to bring all these skills together at the same time. Keep up the work, it is worth persevering. By concentrating on the important of the braking point and power will make it possible to turn your attention more to the throttle. It is at this point that you'll see the biggest improvements in your times. The braking points and apex work suffered in this combination assessment. Concentrate on these two areas to move onto the next training plan.
Example
----------------------
20/06/2025
Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far.
You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - There are many times that you struggle to get to 100%Â throttle is a single motion. It is the last 10%Â of the corner that is causing you issues. Make sure you double check your racing line and trust yourself that you have the line to successfully push hard to 100%Â gas. Sometimes, the 'safety lift' happens this is normal just be very conscious that it doesn't become habit forming - example
----------------------
06/06/2025
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OKÂ at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. AÂ quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! đź’Ş
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. Example
----------------------
24/05/2025
This is a little better but there is still room for improvement before we can move on. It is important to be quick even if you aren't pushing through all the way to 100%. Also, very important, don't let your braking points slip because you are focusing on your braking strength. All these factors need to work together and the braking points definitely need more work at the moment.
Extra - Focus on nailing your braking as most time is to be saved here. However you also need to keep an eye on your acceleration out of the corners. See how the reference lap is able to push through to 100% whereas you are hesitant at around 80%Â and take a little too long to reach 100%Â throttle power - example
----------------------
09/05/2025
Your braking is a little too inconsistent. Sometimes you are showing good technique and other times your braking strength is not where it needs to be for that particular corner. This leads to other mistakes in your driving. Try to improve your consistency for the next assessment so we can move past this stage.
Extra - As mentioned above, small differences in your power (and throttle) can have knock-on effects that'll dig into your segment delete. The heavier and later braking was initially good for the Diff to Ref but only slightly. The issue can as this meant you found it hard to get on the throttle quickly which forced too slower corner speed. This was due to late braking, the power of braking and the racing line out of the corner - example
----------------------
25/04/2025
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.
Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Sometimes it is okay to lift slightly but do this on the way in, not on exit - it is better for momentum. Example
----------------------
11/04/2025
Finding the fastest way through a corner isn’t always about sticking to the line that feels “just right.” Sometimes, pushing closer to the apex unlocks hidden speed. Imagine starting wide, aiming your entry toward the curb, and adjusting when you clip the apex—earlier or later, depending on the turn’s demands. On the exit, let the car drift naturally across the track, using every inch of space. Over time, these adjustments become automatic, and once they do, you can fine-tune your approach to shave off even more time.
Extra - By not aiming for the sharpest possible apex, you're losing precious speed mid-corner. It's crucial to make use of every bit of track space available at the entry, apex, and exit points where your vehicle maintains stability. Example

Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress. Â Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! đź’Ş
Please can you make sure you are on the latest logger via this link:

Extra - One key area to focus on is maintaining higher minimum speeds, which largely comes down to braking later and staying on the throttle longer through corners. This approach will help you reduce the gap in your corner exit performance. For example, a slight delay in braking can make a noticeable difference in carrying momentum through turns. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
‍
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
