We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

The lines are good (there is still room to get tighter though) and your braking points are good. Your mid chicane acceleration is ok, in some chicanes you'll be able to get a bit more out of this section, use that short period to get a short burst of speed but remember the final exit is all important. Try not to come completely off the throttle when not necessary, sometimes you'll be able to just release the throttle 30-50% instead. Also, remember it is your exit speed that is of the most importance, concentrate on this.
Extra - When you accelerate it is better to use a smooth, continuous motion. Presently you are sometimes on and off the throttle to often. This can unsettle the car and make it difficult for the tyres to maintain traction. Start a little slower and then work up to a consist, smooth and fast throttle pedal action. Example

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - Remember in the chicanes you don't need to come off the throttle completely, just a small lift might be all that is needed. Example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example

Great lap times again. You are producing exciting results. Your braking is very good, often you braking a little less i.e. not hitting 100% pressure compared to the reference lap, this would often be a problem but you are achieving this whilst also not being on the brakes for longer than the reference lap. One small point to note though, is that when you do need to brake to 100% you have room to do so a little more quickly. Make sure you take that power through to 100% instead of slowing the velocity of the brake pedal. It is important to note that this is on the engaging braking section not when you are starting to trail brake.Enjoy your next training session, this should be straight forward for you but remember to study the telemetry to find any flaws.
Extra - Sometimes you're turning your steering wheel a bit too much, mainly in the tighter corners. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track - scrubbing speed. Try to reduce your steering input and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit. It looks like here you unwind the wheel in a step once you realise this instead of smoothly fixing your mistake. Example

Excellent number of laps!! Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apex's. Great job using the whole width of the track. Practice trying to take a slightly later apex and see how this affects your deltas. Also have in the back of your mind the angle / direction of the car as you take the apex. The more it is facing in the direction of the coming straight the quicker you'll be able to effectively get on the throttle. Your throttle engagement should generally be within two car lengths of your apex.
Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example

Excellent number of Laps! Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress. Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - You tend to brake too early and gently. In this example you sort of build to your full strength progressively. This is not really 100% and there is more room to push. Try your best to brake more firmly to begin with and trail off deeper into the corner. You should be able to pick later reference points once you master this. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
